Unable to enable developer options - Huawei Nova/Nova Plus Questions & Answers

I'm trying to root my Huawei Nova Y61 Model EVE-LX9, however, when i try to turn on developer options by tapping build number several times nothing happens. I think the store i bought the phone from has limited some functionality, as the reset option is greyed out and i'm unable to hard reset the phone. Is there a way i can root the phone without having to turn on developer option, or is there a way i can turn on developer options so that i can root the phone?

Root

I have just rooted my J3 2016 SM-J320F and I heard that if I disable OEM unlock from developer options my phone will get bricked.
The question is: If I reset to factory settings then my developer options will disappear and OEM unlock will be disabled will my phone get bricked?

No. Even if the developer options disappear, OEM unlock will still be enabled.

Factory reset options for an extremely restricted phone

I've never messed with a phone before and much of the jargon is new to me, so bear with me. I am in possession of a J5 that was issued by an employer who I am no longer with and would like to see if I can use it as a secondary phone or perhaps even replace my current one, but to do this I want to factory reset it first. It has AirWatch installed and has many settings and apps inaccessible, it is extremely restricted. I have looked around on the internet and most options for factory resetting that I have came across so far involve settings being activated that I can't access, so I was wondering if anyone has any input as to what options I could try.
These are some issues I have with reset methods I have read about so far:
Upon trying a factory reset, I get the "MDM does not allow factory reset".
"Safe mode" seems to be disabled.
The google account on it was not made by me and I don't have any password for it.
No unenroll option available in Airwatch.
Can't enable automatic factory reset, it's greyed out.
A method I read about here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/general/xda-assist/solution-to-mdm-allow-factoryreset-t3327319 involves getting to the encryption settings, which I can't.
MTP USB device fails when plugged in to windows.
SmartSwitch won't connect, it just sits at the "Welcome" screen asking me to connect my device.
Odin requires USB debugging to be enabled, which I can't access from the settings menu.
Any ideas, or is it just basically a brick?

[SOLVED] G975F/DS OEM Bootloader locked and closes menu?

I'm looking to root and install a different rom for privacy reasons. Looking to switch from google android to LineageOS. Developer options are on. When I go to switch on "OEM unlocking" and enter my pin it just closes and remains turned off. It is NOT greyed out. What am I missing?

No branded carrier. It says United Arab Emirates on about phone page

So you opened oem unlock, entered your pin, and your phone crashes?

I opened OEM unlock, entered the correct pin, and nothing happens but the pin screen closes to the developer options settings. (and OEM unlock remains turned off). There is no popup with the warning asking me if I want to turn on or cancel.
I updated phone to the latest update
Dev options have been turned on past the 7 day timer
I could try:
Fastboot/ABD
Fixed!
Oddly enough as I was just trying anything to get it to work, I fixed it. I turned off developer options and only then I was able to turn on OEM unlocking at that point and then I was able to turn developer options back on. I guess its a bug. But thanks for the reply.

MDM profile? Managed by IT SM-T597V

Hello,
I have a Verizon Galaxy Tab A SM-T597V.
The device allows me to factory reset and even used Odin to flash the factory ROM onto the device. I’ve even successfully been able to rush through the set up and access settings and enable USB debugging.
But no matter what if I go through the set up menus it eventually pops up and says “Managed by your IT department” and installs an app called “Hub.” The KG state says Prenormal and FRP Lock says OFF. OEM unlocking has never shown as an option.
Has anyone encountered this or know of an option to keep the device installing these programs during the set up screen?
Any advice pointing in right direction would be great!
