Hello,
I am experiencing issues with TWRP on my Samsung SM-J530F. After installing TWRP, my phone is stuck in a bootloop, but I can still boot into TWRP.
The problem is that when I try to install ROMs using ADB or TWRP, my device is detected as just a dot (".") in TWRP, so I cannot proceed with the installation.
I have also tried using ODIN to install a ROM, but it didn't work.
When I tried to use ADB with the "--force" command to sideload the ROM, I received an error message: "adb.exe: sideload requires an argument."
I am looking for a solution to install a compatible ROM on my Samsung SM-J530F.
Edit:Only TWRP Detects my phone as a dot.
nvm it works with orangefox

Good day
After using different methods to try and install a variety of ROMS inclduing CM11, MUIU, FirefoxOs and KitKat 4.4.4.2 Brannded, I'm stuck in the TWRP 2.6.3.2 gui after using flashify and not making a backup. When I sideload and install miui_g2_ws008_4.5.19_5b586f93ad_4.2 it installs sucessfully according to the log, but I get stuck in boot loop after gapps has been loaded in 1st boot. With cm-11-20140522-NIGHTLY-d802, openrecovery-twrp-2.7.0.0-d2vzw, philz_touch_5.15.0-d2vzw, TWRP_v2.3.3.0_P350 I get the Error Executing Binary Zip. When I sideload openrecovery-twrp-2.7.0.2-t03g it installs successfully, I select reboot, it ask me to install SuperSU I say yes and then get stuck in LG boot loop. LG flash tools get stuck at "waiting for connection" when I try to flash it with LGD800AT-01-V10d-310-410-AUG-14-2013 and LGD800_20130904_LGFLASHv160.

What are you typing when trying to flash?
fastboot flash recovery nameoffile.img
Not sure if you are having the same issue I did.
Are you flashing TWRP then using the reboot command to restart your phone immediately?
If so, try flashing TWRP again. Instead of rebooting, try to access the recovery menu right after flashing. This worked for me. The post I saw related to this mentioned the Moto was overwriting something when rebooting. I haven't had any issues since.
Hello, I had issue flashing my TWRP on device with ADB, device took the command to restart in fastboot mode in bootloader but when I tried to flash twrp it said waiting for device and nothing happened.
I rooted the device using kingroot after twrp flashing failed and wanted to flash twrp using twrp official app, I went into the app and searched for my phone to install the recovery but it wasn't there, only fortuna was there, not gprimeltexx - SM-G530FZ. I downloaded twrp for gprimeltexx from https://dl.twrp.me/gprimeltexx/ in img file, tried to flash it in the app but flash failed notice appeared. TWRP manager forces me to search for the device from the list again and the device is just not there.
Any clue how can I flash TWRP succesfully?
Try flashing the .img.tar file via odin
It has been 4 months I have flashed a custom ROM (Vibe UI 2.0) and then I wanted to change this ROM because in this ROM we can't install apps as it shows unable to install apps on your device
When I am trying to boot into recovery it is only showing the lenovo symbol (but I am able to boot into OS)
I tried to flash recovery again but it's still stuck on the lenovo logo(splash Screen)
I tried to flash through command prompt but the device is unable to boot into recovery showing that signal not reachable in cmd
I tried to flash using QFIL but it's showing error to flash ROM
Plzz help me!!!
It seems the recovery you are trying to install is not compatible with the current OS. Try other versions of TWRP.
Edit: You need TWRP 2.8.6.1 by Sevenmaxs

Had the same problem too
hi,, had the same problem too ....use WRP instead of TWRP...it worked for me..it could now open the recovery features
I have an asus zenfone 2 laser running android lollipop. I have turned the USB debugging on for my laptop.
I used to install kingoroot for rooting my phone, and it works fine.
For no particular reasons, i switched over to magisk and uninstalled the kingoroot apps.
The installation was successful, then the app asked me to update it via the app. I updated it, and then it asked me to do reboot.
I rebooted............and i got stuck in bootloop.
I got into the recovery mode and factory resetted the phone but i am still stuck with the bootloop.
I tried to install magisk uninstaller zip from sd card but the installation was unsuccessful
I tried to install the latest firmware from ASUS's official website from SD card and was unsuccessful
I tried to flash the latest TWRP to my device via flashboot. Since many tutorials out there have a TWRP Recovery mode to fix the problem which i don't hace at the time. i used "fastboot flash recovery TWRP.img" command and it said finish.
But it lead me to a new problem. I cannot use "power button+vol.down" key combination to access stock recovery mode. And the TWRP recovery mode doesn't come out as well.
One thing that i can use is the "power button+vol.up" key to access fastboot mode..
I stopped messing around with my devices for now so that i don't make the problems worse. I hope someone can help me out with this problem
BIG THANKS
