WearOS and Google Apps: Gmail, Chat, Chrome... - Wear OS Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi,
I have a Samsung Galaxy Watch5. But I found that Google doesn't allow installing Google apps like Chrome, Chat, Gmail...
Does anyone know of a way to get these apps on WearOS or is the only option to download the apk?
Thank you in advance

Hi,
thank you very much. I used Wear Installer 2.
I even read that Google has started testing full Gmail and Google Calendar apps for Wear OS.

Will we see the Flipbook and Awesome Notes apps optimized for the note 8

Engadget's review of the note 8 included a hands on video where they showed an optizied version of Flipboard and Awesome Notes developed for s-pen support. Samsung has also introduced a new reader setting to help reduce eye strain from reading e-books. I wonder if we'll see these pushed out to our note 10.1 units. http://www.engadget.com/2013/02/23/samsung-galaxy-note-8-preview/

Cheapest watch for Android Wear development

hi,
I'm looking to buy a couple of smartwatches which can run Android Wear apps, so that I can use them for development. This effectively means play store access (out of the box or rooted). A big, big pro would be BLE.. but not mandatory.
Does anyone know which watch is the cheapest out there ? I'm not looking for coolness, battery life, etc. Basically, it will be used chiefly for android dev.
the original LG G Watch should be the cheapest, or at least it is here (in the Netherlands), the Gear Live is very close to it
there are only 6 AW watches available right now
-LG G Watch
-LG G Watch R
-Moto 360
-Asus ZenWatch
-Samsung Gear Live
-Sony Smartwatch 3

Wear for running? Google Pixel Wear?

So I am in the market for a new smartwatch/fitness band and I am intrigued but not sold on the Ticwatch E/S. They seem like quality devices at an affordable price, but I'm not sure they check all the boxes for me.
What I want is to run with my strava app without my phone, meaning leave my phone at the house. I also like to listen to podcasts and music while I run meaning I need some onboard storage. I also need the sensors (gps, gyro, heartrate etc..) to be fairly accurate and decent battery life 2-3 days would be awesome!
Does anyone have a good recommendation? Also what are the odds we will see a Pixel Wear device at Google I/O? I have a google store credit, but there are no watches available on the store at the moment.

I run with my Urbane 2 all the time. There is a spreadsheet over on Reddit that lists info for all AW watches. A lot of active users as well that could answer about the Ticwatch in the AndroidWear subreddit.

looking for a watch that is similar to apple watch 4 I guess !?

HI!!! I am in the US and would like to have an android watch that has android apps & health apps I suppose.
I don't want to have my samsung note 8 in hand all the time & it would be easier to have and respond to some notifications when the phone is away somewhere.
Oh & I am a female .
Can someone guide me please
thanks all!
Anyone?
what is slick & girly with good apps?
I would personally say a fossil watch but I would hold off until theres a more recent up-to-date non sport's watch from fossil with a Snapdragon wear 3100 chip because the old chips arnt good enough for everyday use anymore. Wear os isn't in the best position right now so I would hold off and shop around . Apps are down to you as you need to choose them from the play store they don't magically come with the watch .
is there one in the works?
Samsung Galaxy Watch Active. Nice for a girl, 40mm case.

Smartwatch recommendation

Hi everyone,
Nowadays I am looking for a new smartwatch, because I have an Amazit Pace from 5 years ago and it's starting to have some problems. I am basically looking for a smartwatch with GPS and connection with Strava, that allows you to stock your music in order to go running without mobile phone, that allows you to see phone calls and notifications (it is not necessary to answer them) and with a decent battery (I don't want to be charging the watch every 2-3 days). My budget is around 150-200€, and at the moment I have found the following options:
-Amazfit GTR 2: It's my favourite at the moment. It has everything I want and I like the design very much. The only inconvenient is that I've read that the GPS is not very precise. If it weren't for that, it would be my definitive option.
-Huawei GT 2: I like this watch very much as my first alternative, but it doesn't have connection with Strava so discarded.
-Samsung Galaxy Watch: Maybe a little more expensive (and a little bigger for me) but it has everything I want adding some little thing like the capacity of paying with the watch. The main problem I've seen is that its battery is quite short (2-3 days at the very long) and I don't like that.
-Samsung Galaxy Active 2: Exactly the same that with the Galaxy Watch.
¿Do you have some extra recommendations or opinions of these smartwatches? Thank you very much!!
PD: Sorry for my english, i'm Spanish so it's no my main language

What smart watch to buy?
I never bought a smart watch in the past but am interested in doing so now. What's the best bang-for-the-buck smart watch I can buy? I use a Samsung Galaxy Android phone so I'm guessing an Apple Watch is off the list. I would prefer one that has...
