As I was surfing on my computer, my phone was next to the screen on a stand charging. The phone made a sudden reboot, a crash, then took awhile to boot up.
The phone is rooted and bootloader unlocked.
I have taken a bug report from within the developer section. Something for which I have not done before, ever.
How can I find out what caused this sudden crash/reboot ?
rooted devices are unstable, It could just be a random occurrence. Sometimes, my apps crash and take a few minutes before I can use em again.

Yeah I understand that. But this is the first time I've ever seen any of my rooted phones reboot like that. I'm going on a trip soon to a concert and I don't want this to become an issue for me.
If it happens often then you can investigat. ATM not worth it.

1.5.3 wit the hotfix update.
Been noticing other weird things lately as well like, when using bluetooth earbuds the wifi would sometimes cut out especially on the 2.4ghz band.

There is a known incompatibility between Magisk and that version of NothingOS. You can read more about it here and here. Several Magisk modules have been created to try mitigating the issue such as this one: https://github.com/LukeSkyD/NP1-MGLRU-FIX

The first link you mentioned, the picture of the crash is exactly what mine looked like. And from reading the stuff from the second link that confirmed my suspicion in that Nothing does not want anyone messing with their phones.
That's a shame.

Good Morning all,
Found this post on Android Authority this morning and thought I'd share.
Wonder how difficult (I'm no dev) it would be to install/port this to the European H850 version.
According to AA, there is an update available OTA.
Exciting news ahead
There is nothing to port. You just flash korean kdz through lg up and you're done.

well, I think south kore has h850, mayb im wrong. But those with carrier phones like sprint etc would be out of luck.
What's the model of S.Koreas LG G5? If it's dual sim then can we H860 flash it?
Korean variants are: F700K/L/S
So yes, we need a port, and flashing a Korean kdz on a different means certain brick.

Bootmanager for what? I don't use YouTube in background, and for ads I've always used adaway
So, what are you trying to demonstrate me? I've already told that personally I will never use it, so what's the point to spawn a lot of modules that you use?
And again, here we are talking about nougat update, not xposed.

No that's not the right thing to do.
Adaway is not built into this ROM so it's not supported by the Dev..hence the q+a thread being used.
This is the right place to ask.
You aren't helping by saying ask elsewhere.
I had the same issue, seems that the hosts doesn't work with the apk.
I add manually few hosts and it worked !
the one that made the biggest difference is this one :
