Hi,
I want help and suggestions for this project.
I have a pen drive. Pendrives consist of some video and one video player application. When I connect my pendrive to my Android TV, I want all videos to autoplay using the applications present on the pendrive. The application should not be installed on Android TV.
I also want to know can we run application on any android platform (Tv, mobile) without installation.

Hey,
Never really thought of this until now.
Basically, I have a router with 3 PC's and a TV connected to it. I can open Windows Media Player on the computers, enable streaming, and the TV can watch videos, play music and view pictures from the PC's.
Now I was wondering if the HD2 is capable of allowing the TV (or PC's) to connect to it so they can view/play the pictures/videos/music off it...
Its a long shot, and I dont have a clue how the app "Streaming Media" works. But as the HD2 has Windows Media...
Thanks
There is a post that answers this recently added. You need a program which handles DNLA which was pulled off of a Samsung and it works very well.
Hi,
I was wondering if anyone had a step by step guide on how to setup XBMC on my PC (Win7 - 64bit) to run as a server and XBMC on my N10, so I can stream content from my PC to watch on my tablet.
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks
You don't need to setup xbmc on the computer. All you need is an windows share with the video files on it. Xbmc for android will stream those video files without needing the server to do anything. You can also use a standalone network storage device.
Shane_pcs is exactly right. I just did this yesterday with the XMBC RC2 Android release and it works very well off of SAMBA/NFS server shares. I even have MythTV v0.26 running on my back end server and the XMBC plugin works for PVR LiveTV and recording viewing.
Just google for a how-to on setting up file shares on whatever platform your video files reside.
hi sifu, just wondering is there any app that can scan through the network and found laptop with build in camera, than can see through it through android phone.
No. But you can use GPP Remote Viewer. But server need instal on pc.
This might help. iCam - Webcam Video Streaming. It's on the play syore.
So i'd like to sideload a game onto my Shield TV, is this possible? I know it's possible with Apps, but this is a full game. Thanks! (Game is Witcher3)
if its an .exe no but if its in a format that can work with an emulator then you can test it.
In case of an exe, what you can do is stream from your PC the game using an app like Splashtop (it supports hardware accel) to remote control your PC or if your have a compatible Nvidia Card on your PC you can use the Gamestream feature by Nvidia in your Shield TV.

I don't know about Splashtop, but the native way to stream on the Shield TV is using its native app GameStream, if you have an nVidia Card.
Beside that, you can't sideload an .exe on the Shield, and generally on Android. And you wouldn't have the computational power to run a game on it like The Witcher 3, natively.
Have a nice day
was this a serious question?
First of all, you can't run windows games on Android devices. Second, this device doesn't even have the performance to run that game.
Third, the shield tv is equipped to stream windows game from your computer to your device, or from the cloud to your device. You can only stream PC games to the Nvidia Shield (tv). Windows Applications won't work either. Unless there's some x86 emulator somewhere.
