Nexus 7 2012 wifi appears dead. - Nexus 7 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

My Nexus 7 2012 Wifi tablet no longer boots.
About 8 years ago I installed a boot loader, could have been CWM (Clock work Mod) all hazy now. The tablet booted once or twice with lots of text but got stuck in it's process and I switched off after a long wait. When I tried to switch back on it would not boot. Held power key down for over 10 second, and same with power key and volume key held down. Nothing.
Would it still be possible to fix this via pc windows to flash a boot or does this mean it's bricked.
If it can be flashed what is software to use these days? I'm guessing it's still nexus root toolkit, does this work with Windows 10?
Also want to put a stock Rom back on. Is version Nakasi 4.4.4 best to use for speed and stability.

hello brother, connect your tablet to the charger for atleast 30 minutes. then try to boot up the tablet by holding power button for 10 to 30 seconds. try to boot with charging and without charging. it must show atleast battery charging status. if the tablet shows up, reply me.

[Q] Can't turn on Nexus 7 (2012)

Hi everybody, I have troubleshoot like this:
Nexus 7 won't turn on. It is being every time when I power off my device:
Device is recognized in APX mode
No problem with charger or usb cable( 2-3 cables and chargers were tried)
Device was with CM11 then Stock Android 4.4.2 then I flashed Ubuntu 13.04 desktop version, but in all of this cases it was.
When I use some third party program for rebooting or recovery, no problem occur.
Can't boot to bootloader and i had charger it like Google says
40+ seconds power on button pressed but no action.
And suddenly it turns on and over a time when it turns of story begins
What can I do with it???
PS: It is booting to Ubuntu with no problems when turning on and I have no NVFlash blobs, so I can't flash with it.
THANK ALL OF YOU !
If it only boots into APX mode, then something is really gone wrong. (corrupted bootloader, damaged emmc, etc.)
Without proper blobs you can't do much about it, try to send it to Google/Asus.

Is my Nexus 4 bricked or irreperably broken?

Hello people,
I have a German Nexus 4 and it gets stuck in bootloop whenever I turn the power on.
I've had issues with the phone since the last few months - i.e. random reboots, random program crashes.
But recently I tried to root it in order to install the Android L developer preview. It was during the booting process, when my Nexus crashed and it has been unable to boot ever since.
When I push all three buttons (power + 2 volume rocker buttons) simultaneously, I get the fastboot screen.
Choosing the following options has these effects:
Start --> phone tries to boot but gets stuck in bootloop forever and ever
Restart bootloader --> restarts the fastboot screen
Recovery mode --> phone shows the robot with an opened belly and a red warning sign (see photograph)*
Power Off --> turns the power off
Also, it is NOT detected or recognized by my Macbook when I connect the Nexus via USB cable. So it's impossible for me to access the phone via my Macbook.
*This is the screen shown when I try to go into Recovery mode in fastboot:
[can't upload outside link to image]
So this leaves me with no options as I never get further than the 4 turning circles forever and ever.
Is my Nexus 4 broken or is there still a chance to unbrick it? (I have a MacBook, so Windows programs won't work for me)
Of course it's not possible to recognize it when OS is not running.
Download WugFresh toolkit, ADB drivers (Universal) and the factory image. Enter fastboot, connect USB and flash the image
Your phone is not hardbricked, because it boots into the bootloader.
It might be recovered if you can access it with fastboot.
Try uninstalling all related drivers and install the Naked Universal Driver.
Thanks for your replies!
Unfortunately, the programs you mentionned don't work on my Mac (they seem to be Windows-only).
Also, how can I install stuff on my Nexus? Since it is not recognized by my MacBook, I can't load any files onto my Nexus.
And since any command on the fastboot screen only leads to the phone powered off, restart of the fastboot screen or the mentionned bootloop, I cannot perform any actions on the Nexus ...
Go to a friend with Windows.
Problem solved!
Somehow after the 1000th bootloop I finally reached the screen where I could wipe the phone.
And then it finally booted! Now all the data are lost and it's like a new phone, but at least it's working again!
How long was the boot loop? Was it the new boot animation from L?
Because when you flash L, the first boot up may take up to 15 minutes, leading you into thinking it's a boot loop.

[Q] [Samsung Galaxy Xcover 2 GT-S7710] Not your regular bootlop

Hello,
My phone only turns on if battery is present and it's plugged in to a power source. It does not power while only on a power source.
When it turns on for 5 seconds a Kies Firmware Restore warning is shown and then it tunrs off and powers back on again, when trying to enter download mode it does the same thing, showing the download screen only for 5 seconds, which renders any ROM modifications useless...
What should I do?
I also tried the unbrick plug but it didn't work.
I have same issue with a friends mobile, i am trying to help him out but it just goes off like 5 secs after it turns on, not enough time for recovery flash, the mobile was stock and he proberly in his drunken party fun accidently put it into to download mode and the power went off.
Pretty sure that is how, atm i am trying to charge the battery to make sure it aint the battery that is dead.
up please
Hey, if people are still stuck with this, here is how u can fix :
Buy a new battery and flash, or solder/tape 2 wirer to a usb cable that u plug to a power source and then flash (thats what i done)

Nexus 4 won't power on, fastboot recovery mode accesible

Hi All,
I am having a similar kind of problem like many others already stated but mine one is a bit unique.
My phone will power on, google logo appears, it starts to boot then nothing happens....it keeps on restarting the sequence but never completes the boot process. I can access fastboot, recovery mode but the phone itself doesn't start.
However if I keep it plugged to my wall charger it completes the boot process and I can access my phone, but if I unplug and start using it just shuts down randomly (1 min-30 min).
I have wiped cache, restored to factory already. Currently I am running 5.1.1 with no modification at all.
Any suggestion to bring it back to life is appreciated.
Replace the battery and I think it will work without any issues.
Nitin
Most likely the battery is dead.

Note N910G very long reboot

I just bought a note 4 N910G .... I installed TWRP and flashed a custom rooted rom marshmallow... I noticed reboots are very very long (whatever types of reboot; normal, recovery or download mode)... I don't know if this happened because i flashed TWRP.
So, i flashed back stock unrooted 6.0 rom but the pb still persists... reboots take like 5 - 10 mins .... it has black screen thinking that it is turned off (pressing power button or any button does not do anything) but if i wait like 5- 10 mins, it actually reboots..
any clue?
