I bought my Carlyle in 2020 and wonder if I should get a new smartwatch that runs Wear OS 3.
In the past I've done rooting of devices and ran other OS, like when I got an HP Touchpad and was able to put Android on it. If that's possible for the Fossil Gen 5, can someone point me in the right direction?
Thanks
Unfortunately, you won't.
Wear OS 3 will remain for Gen 6+

Hey XDA! I was wondering if the moto 360 would work for OP2 on OOS? I need to get confirmation before I purchase it.
I'm not 100% sure, but if the weareable (Moto 360 or whatelse) is running Android Wear the only requisite for pair it with any Android phone is have installed Android Wear app .
I'm using a LG G Watch R with my OPT without any problem.
of course you can. its an android watch and a android phone. unless it is running a real old version of Android thats kind what its designed to do!
I just recently bought a Gen 3 Fossil Q Watch. I hit upgrade for the Wear OS and it has been downloading for 7 hours and stuck at the very edge. Is this normal? How do I resolve this issue.
Thanks in advance.
My last experience with a smartwatch was my Moto 360 on Android Wear. Is there anything I need to know going from Android Wear to Wear OS?
Maybe the Fossil members have some information...
fossil Gen 5
Am I missing something here or was everything about this launch misleading I picked up the Gen 5 today. Google assistant does not talk to me. Only shows results on screen. And the battery modes are no where to be found. I had a software update...

Hello there. So I recently purchased an Amazon Fire 8 HD 10th generation tablet and updated it to the latest firmware. It is linked to my Amazon account and I currently have Prime. Soon after using the tablet for my first time, I realized that it was not really an Android device but closer to a leapfrog. I am wondering whether I should return this tablet and get something else if that would be the easiest thing to do, otherwise, is there a way to convert this into an Android device since, essentially, all mobile phones and laptops and tablets are computers at the end of the day. Is there anything I can do or am I better off buying a regular android tablet online?
Hello everyone. im new here on XDA. As of recently i acquired a Citizen CZ Smart and i really do love the watch. However, i recently found out that this device has no planned updates to WearOS3. I know there are programs that allow you to boot into the bootloader and recovery, so im wondering if there is any way to flash a custom version of wearos3 to this watch. The Fossil Garret HR Gen 5/CITIZEN CZ Smart Gen 1 are the same watch Spec for Spec just in a different case so i wanted to list that in the title for anyone looking to the Fossil.
