I have redmi note 7s .but I don't see this variant specific section in xda. So posting the question in Note 7 section. I would like to unlock the boot loader and install custom rom in my redmi note 7s. But here I don't see roms specific to note 7s instead for 7 it exists. Can I install note 7 rom in note 7s and will it work without bricking my device ?

Is there any ROM development for the note 7?
I would have thought with sources released a little while we would have started to see a few builds start to pop up?
I know im being a bit of a begging chooser here (as i ask being fully aware i cant contribute any expertise to any project.
Only GSIs for now. And i think there will be none custom roms...only a chinese TWRP.

can it be possible to forget about the Indian version of the phone, or to make the camera a separate patch?

I think because of the same device codename, a custom ROM for "lavender" will have camera drivers, patches for both Redmi Note 7 Global/China and Redmi Note 7 India.

If am right, only RN7 has Indian and Global version. RN7S is same everywhere.

I think that If the codename of your device is lavender you can use the rom in this forum

Used an app on playstore call AIDA64 , scroll to system then you can see the section Device xxxxx thats your model, im attach some image for you

They are the same phone. Lavender is just the codename of redmi note 7.
You don't need chinese dev rom to unlock bootloader.

Yes you can, both devices are using same codename "lavender". So you can flash everything made for lavender in redmi note 7s.
