[ROM] [5.1.1] Flyme OS 5 for OnePlus X by shumxin (9thth August 2016 Update)

I'm not ROM's developer. I saw it on chinese forum and want to share it. Credits go to shumxin. I'm using his ColorOS 2.1 port for daily driver and it is great. There are several bugs in this ROM at the moment. It's still in development. I'm currently testing it. Information below is translated by google translate
[5.18] Fix bug:

Just flashed today. Rom looks super smooth with new flyme UI, we have settings shortcut in the statusbar now. There is no lag as in the previous version. Installed google installer from inbuilt appstore and everything is working as expected till now. And the best thing is this Rom supports Layers unlike ColorOS. But, sadly there is no Oneplus X radio this time.

How did you install goole play ? I download it from meizu app store. I've tried several times but play store give me error DF DLA 15. I can't download any app from play store

Which version of google installer you installed?
If you have installed the latest one, remove it, clear data and clear cache of google related apps (google services framework, google playstore etc.), uninstall all google apps, reboot and download the version of google installer as shown in the screenshot.
Or, simply flash the rom again and install the google installer version as shown in the image.
To download previous version of google installer, follow these steps,
1. Open inbuilt Appstore
2. Search for Google Installer
3. Scroll to bottom and select View History
4. Select version 1.4.4 or 1.4.3 and install

I just install this rom ...play store is ok for me...but for super su it doesnt work ...how to please ?

I flashed SuperSU v2.71 beta and it's working fine for me.
Had trouble initially as my data and playstore stopped working.
Wiped dalvic cache for data to work again.
And, removed all google apps and reinstalled through google installer for playstore to work.

For me too with a reboot play store didn't work so I can't stay with this rom for a daily use but it's interesting....

Did you tried inbuilt root option?
You can find it under settings->security->root permission
Edit: tried inbuilt root option. It's not working with error "failed to write permission"

Performance is excellent I would say, with a nice UI.
It's not lagging at all as in the previous versions of Flyme.

Yester day I flashed this rom. Rom is very smooth. But the issue, GPS is not locating my location in google maps. Does any body have this issue?
Please help me on this.

It worked for me when set the GPS lock to high accuracy.

I'm running Vanced and the Goog framework (so I could download the dialer off the market) and waiting for the more interesting stuff until TWRP hits. Too much trouble backing up and restoring right now.

In magisk under downloads look for Google dialer framework. If you click on the module it should give you instructions on how to install.

Yep, the Goog dialer. You don't need to install the entire framework, as mentioned above there is an up to date framework for just the dialer. Search framework in Magisk, you'll see it. Sometimes after installing the framework I can see the dialer in the play store, other times I have to go get the APK and install that way. I don't know why it doesn't show at times but once you've installed it in either fashion automatic updates from the play store should work; mine does. I'm in the beta because it has the dark mode now.

Yep, I downloaded the beta for the dark theme. But my question is, what's better in the Google dialer than the stock dialer?

Much better spam blocking, caller ID, and the local search can often be the fastest way to find a phone number for something nearby. For example you wanna call for a pizza from a local place you know, start typing the name and it will usually pop up immediately (assuming a decent connection) and you can dial away. In some respects the stock dialer is actually better but it cant overcome those things in my case. I use the local search for numbers of places nearby fairly often, less spam is better, caller ID never hurts.

Is there a module for unthrottled data tether on Verizon?

Which version are you using the op5/op5t or the other version BE framework?

Speaking about magisk has anyone found how to uninstall it in case of a boot loop it has happened twice to me and i had to wipe my whole phone since the magisk uninstaller seems not to work?

Youtube videos show the answer is no. That's unfortunate. Not sure why Xiaomi insists on keeping it disabled...

How can I install it? my xiaomi is not rooted and it's MIUI Global 10.2 Stable.

im trying this new android 9 rom now.And there is no huge differences on this rom.Some problems has gone..Like (whatsapp video recorder low voice quality problem,When i play games,notch not match at the top screen etc etc .)And again.there is no huge differences.Performance still good.Sometimes phone lagging and UI not smooth.I'm not tested battery yet..When i test it,i send the screenshots about SoT.

It isn't possible to manually activate Cam2API on Redmi Note 6 Pro at this moment with ADB commands.
The issue seems to be broader than just Android Pie (Beta 9.3.11) version as reported in the Xiaomi Global Forum, activation also doesn't work anymore in the latest Android Oreo versions (Stable 10.2.2.0 & Beta 9.3.1)

u can activate camera2api with twrp recovery but there is a problem.İm testing now android 9.0.everyweek phone updating and bugs fixing.but now i cannot update my phone.otherdays when i install any zip file with twrp recovery,phone deletes recovery.but there is a new system update(weekly) comes to my phone.i cannot install it.Directly going twrp recovery.im install now android 9 test zip again and then gonna try new update.And ofcorse camera2api feature goes off automaticklly.

Google pay not working

I have a converted oneplus 6t from t-mobile to Android 10 and Google pay is not working and my device is not rooted or does not have an unlocked bootloader. What can I do to fix the problem.

Your device is probably not certified. Check this in Google play parameters. If it is the case, in system parameters> applications try to clear cache and data for Google Play and Google play services then reboot.

If the above solution fails, another one is - ironically - rooting. First test whether your device passes SafetyNet with this app. I'm on A10, international version, rooted and mobile payment works. I'm not using GPay though. I did just notice that my device wasn't certified so I added everything related to 'Google' and 'Play' to Magisk Hide and now it is (see screenshot below). I wonder if there's a way of testing whether GPay works on a device without actually using it.
Oh and if you decide to walk this path, do be careful with a T-Mobile converted device! I've seen a lot go wrong with them (see official OOS threads, do some reading). Make sufficient backups before proceeding. There's a realistic chance you'll end up MSMTooling it.

I check and it did show that it was not certified, but then I clear data and it stopped showing that. Google pay still does not work. I need to find a way to fix it with out going back to stock tmobile.

You will not get it certified till this type of device - TMOBILE 6T that is not the same as OnePlus Regular 6T) will get A10. So if you must have Google Pay get back to pie and wait till T-Mobile updates there phone to A10.

Then download the Terminal Emulator for Android by Jack Palevich in the playstore.
Then follow instructions in the video link below :

Yeah you are going to have to root and use the safety module. Only way it'll work

Believe it or not, it's a known bug that began with the beta but got resolved some time after. Apparently, this bug came back. OnePlus is aware of it and they are working on a fix. I already contacted support.

Unfortunately can not do that - I have work profile on the phone and maas360 mdm will discover the root (tried to hide it in any possible way).

Thanks for that however I can't do that since I don't have magisk installed and I don't want to install wtrp or root my device to get it. If there is a way to install it without that I will do it otherwise nope.

It'd be good if you could share the xposed log: EdXposed Maganer > Logs > Save and share, please (ofc I need the log with the module enabled, up and running).

Did you enable the main call recording switch preference? I have to ask this because, as @Pandemic reported (below), it is working on his Xperia 1 55.1.A.3.112 fw (which shares the same fw as the Xperia 5).

Works good on xperia 1 with android 10 latest fw ^^

I run on fw 55.1.A.3.149, that is the latest for xperia 1 and i guess he not enabled it in the call settings

Did you enable the main call recording switch preference? I have to ask this because, as @Pandemic reported (below), it is working on his Xperia 1 55.1.A.3.112 fw (which shares the same fw as the Xperia 5).

Thank you. So I need your help and the EdXposed log to try fixing this issue. Please see the how-to a page ago (post #9).

I tried on an Android 9 xzp, but it doesn't record the rest if it works.

Nice!
It was not designed to run on Android P, even if the minSdkVersion version is 28. Despite that, if you can produce (and share, on pastebin.com) EdXposed log and a regular logcat, I can try porting it to android 9.

can i use it on redmi note 8 custom rom ?

Anyone got this working on Xperia 1 ii? I have edxposed successfully installed and other modules working, but this doesn't unfortunately. Despite the menu appearing in the call settings, the call recording icon doesn't show in the call screen and no calls are being recorded

Thank you for the logs, but in this case I need the EdXposed log (produced/saved after a phone call).
Did you enable the call recording in the phone settings?

No worries, would love to get this working.
However despite enabling call recording in the menu (as it does at least appear there), no logs are produced. I opened edxposed, cleared the logs, made a call, checked the logs and nothing is there. As mentioned the call recording iron does not appear in the dialer.
Just in case that was the incorrect way to do it, I rebooted the phone, didn't clear any logs, made a call and then exported the logs (see the modules and verbose logs attached)
