Simple question: Should I root? - POCO M3 Questions & Answers

As the title suggests, I'm wondering whether or not it is a good idea to root my poco m3.
It is running project elixir 3.5 currently.

Is it still on warranty? If yes probably no

As I know, there is a way using magisk root with Custom Recovery but I can't find any custom recovery for yt3x90l with 4gb ram and 64gb rom...
Does anybody know a way to get magisk root installed?
Yours sincerely

I recent got one and the revised version is awesome. Hope more support comes out for this new version on xda.
Hi all,
sorry to relive an old thread: has any of you guys found a way to root this device and why not, found a ROM which runs an Android OS > 6?

OP Face Unlock Port (Is there any?)

Hi there guys, is there any change I could get the fast face unlock to a custom ROM (HAVOC OS)?
The one present is much more slower and as there's no fingerprint, I'm just curious about this.
Thanks!
Most likely not, as its kind of baked into OxygenOS as a system feature, but who knows.
You could try
https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/oneplus-ltd/oneplus-faceunlock/
But i don't know if it working or not.

Is it possible to unlock the S7 by fingerprint with the screen off?

In some custom ROM exists this function, but in others not, it is possible to enable having the smartphone with root?
Interesting question. I've seen it working on Lineage OS

Current situation of SafetyNet

Hi there, I have an international Mi A1 that has never been modded (stock Aug. 2020 upd.).
I'm interested to switch to a custom rom, but after reading some articles about the strengthening of SafetyNet (hardware fingerprint?) I desisted.
So before I go into this operation I'd like to know if there are any problems with banking apps (that I need) and other apps that uses those APIs. I'm not interested in root permissions, so if I had to give them up in order to be sure to bypass SafetyNet, it would be fine with me.
Uh, another stupid question (sorry!), could I lock the bootloader again once the custom rom is installed (I know that SafetyNet check this, correct me if I am wrong)?
Thank you all for your attention!

You can flash any android 10 rom for mia1 and safteynet shouldn't be a concern, rooting is not necessary in order to use custom roms. I myself only use custom roms for the latest android version and features without the need of rooting.

i'm using Lineage OS 17 official from 7-8 months and its also rooted with Magisk and Safetynet check always passed. i use Upi apps and Netflix app but didn't face any problem
You should never ever lock bootloader after installing custom roms, it will send the device into bootloop.

LOLZ Kernel for stock miui

Hi all.
I am looking for some answers. Is LOLZ kernel for Mi439 will be working correctly with stock redmi 7a software (32bit)?
For custom ROMs with android 10 to 13 I think the answer is yes. Can anybody try to install this on your device?
Thanks in advance!
why you asking this? are you a developer and don't have this device or do you want someone else to make experiments for your so you don't have to?
