I have a Samsung Galaxy Grand 2 SM-G7100 with lineage os 16 (Android 9) on it (I got it from @MoazSalem 's post here) (with open gapps micro)
I have been using it for a while now and all the apps work fine but when I open the FM Radio app, it tells me to use an earphone (for an antenna) this is normal and it happens to all FM Radio apps but when I turn off the app, plug in the earphones, then launch it again, it crashes with no error message. I tried clearing the data of the app from the app info but no luck. here is a video for those who want it.

yestarday i was update my firmware by kies.
again the lte4 option was disapper so i root my device and edit the persist.radio.lteon file.
now my fm radio is not work...i really need help beacuse i'm using the fm radio every day and allmost all day.

Sources conflict. Most say your device doesn't have a FM receiver. I know the I9505 doesn't and that's the worldwide model.
Xiia Live is a better choice in my opinion than Tune In, which is why I switched to the pro version when it was advertised on Amazon at a price of zero. Where I once had three different radio apps (TuneIn, iHeartRadio, DI.FM) Xiia allowed me to consolidate into one app all the stations I listen to, plus allowed me to add external radio streams such as Radio Rivendell.

Problems with the ROM
- I cannot make WhatsApp or Messenger calls with bluetooth ear piece connected (or with bluetooth on and ear piece unconnected) because bluetooth will cause phone to instant crash off every time. After crash off have to re-start to get phone back every time. I can make these calls successfully with bluetooth off.
- Google app cannot hear when I speak. It simply shows the "Listening" screen, but hears nothing.
- NFC functionality not working.
Can I do anything to fix these? or is there a more functional stable other ROM I can use.
I'm pleased with Lineage OS because there is no bloatware, it's stable and it's fast, but I need the functionality I have listed above.
Can anyone help?

1. I used Sony MW-600 Bluetooth Headset, and it's working fine
2. It is known bug on LOS
3. NFC working fine for me either

Confirmed, re: Bluetooth pairing (and connection-throughput issues). Unable to pair if the phone is the initiator (Plantronics Voyager Pro HD headset; BOSS Audio Car Stereo). Was able to pair to the BOSS (phone, audio, contacts) by initiating the pairing on the radio receiver.
So far, no crash on the front-facing camera.
ENCRYPTION WORKS! This is HUGE, considering this is the 1st ROM I have tried (out of dozens over 2 years) where it does. I used the password option.
Using TWRP for Recovery (installed via ODIN); phone is completely unlocked (dm-verity, recovery, system). I installed this ROM via ZIP (from Micro SD), along with Magisk, SuperSU, and Open GAPPS 8.1 (ARM: AROMA).

Well this rom is nearly flawless very smooth.
I am not complaining but i wish in next build these 3 bugs get fixed
1 Front facing camera
2 bluetooth
3 fingerprint
it can be an amazing rom and definitely can be used as daily driver.
I ran a search but did not immediately find a similar problem, apologies if this has already been posted elsewhere.
I have just installed one of these USB dongles that provide Carplay feature on my Chinese Android HU. The adapter required the installation of the zBox app. Everything appears to operate correctly when connecting the iphone and Carplay works correctly except that whenever the carplay features are on, the actual radio tuner goes silent, in fact it looks like all audio functions stop working. (Fm Tuner, MP3 player). I can restart the radio app correctly but the minute i restart zbox, the radio or music player stops. Seems I can't have the FM tuner and the Carplay at the same time.
Has anyone encountered this issue, is there a setting that needs to be set? I looked at the settings in the zBox app, but nothing appears to directly point to this problem, settings are pretty basic.

Zbox app needs fixing so it doesn't Mute other apps running audio unless it needs audio focus for itself. I suspect the developers of the app never use anything other than iPhone apps while Zbox is running, and probably don't care. Shame there's no dev email within the app !!

I am having this issue as well on my Android 10 Hizpo unit. There I installed Autokit according to the manual for the Carlinkit wireless carplay dongle but it mutes the radio as well.
When I play MP3 music it does come back, also with some internet radio apps. So it seems to be the actual combination between the Carplay app and the Android radio app.
Which version of Autokit do you have and where did you get it, I will try that one as well then.

Hello there!
I don´t know if ist´s to late. But I got the solution for may dongle: I setup the option "Autoplay Music" to "off", in that way when I start the radio, and after load AUTOKIT/Waze the readio remains playing.
Trying to get the FM radio hardware to work on a friends s20 tab ultra and I notice my s10+ has one too but no app pre installed anymore ?
Many recommend 'next radio' from playstore but only rubbish copies seen to exist now. How do we get our HARDWARE fm radios to work ??
Please no posts re streaming apps !
Get a copy of the original Samsung apk.
Scan with online Virustotal before trying to install.
I'm running Snapdragon's so I never got to play with this interesting feature.
