broken antenna cable, how to connect / where to solder ?
I have a signal without antenna cable but it is pretty weak and sometimes gone ( when trying to do a speed test )

I would like to connect my XDA2 to a garmin gps. I know there are ways to do it with null modem cables etc, but would like to use a simple cable, cut the end off it and put a pfranc connector on the Tx and Rx serial wires.
I wondered about using this as a starting point, as it would let me provide power to the XDA2 also.

But.....it is USB. Can I simply cut off the USB connector and identify the Tx Rx wires as with simple serial cables. I suspect due to the plug & play nature of USB, the wiring is more complex.

Thanks thats helpful.....The USB is quite separate from the serial transmission, so cables will not be interchangable. Have ordered some connectors, and just make one from scratch. 8)

It's possible to connect a GPS antenna on a Kyser.
I've got an antenna but I need to buy an adapter cable.
It seems there are several satelite connectors available on the market.
As I want to order online, do you know the name of the Sat connector present on the back of the Kyser ?

Unfortunately, the signal strength of our service provider has deteriorated quite rapidly causing much crackling and connection losses in the last couple of weeks.
Therefor I'm in need of an external antenna (indoor) to boost the signal strength; finding an antenna is not the problem, finding a suitable connector cable to connect the antenna to my X7500 however is a problem.
Can anyone provide me with a link to an adaptor cable / connector cable (Europe preferred) to connect an external antenna to my X7500? I'm not sure if a GPS connector cable would also work for this, so any help is appreciated.

Its not in Europe, but I ordered an antenna (12" whip) and the proper connector from http://www.criterioncellular.com/ two years ago.
Have an EVO not rooted works but its in bad condition
.USB port for charging..., pc connect is broken.,cant see, locate ,even with a magnifier the location of original wires on board to soder to mini USB.
+ and - is no issue i can tab anywhere however was wondering is anyone has a schematic ... info pictures where the USB info wires go to.?
the 2 wires that carry info .even if i need to remove metal cover on micro chip..etc i would like to play with this phone

I accidentally broke the antenna port on the charging board even lifting some of the traces from the board itself. However I have since then not noticed any problem with the reception at all. Does anyone know what the antenna connected by the internal antenna cable is used for? Is is a specific band or is it a MIMO think or something like that?
