I've had my Nexus Q in box for years, just moved recently and would like to use it.
I like it's aesthetic, I searched on here on how to set it up but didn't find anything helpful unless I'm blind. I'm not tech savvy with apks.. Just know how to install them. I'm using LG Cup thinQ atm for phone, Nexus Q won't pair to it, and i plugged it into my TV says "google.com/nexus" but no support on site.
If anyone can be of assistance it would be much appreciated. Thanks.
The App is has Deleted and no longer available on Play Store but... there apk file that found it in happymod

Hello. Google shutdown all Nexus Q servers, so we can't activate it. One way it is flash custom android rom like Cyanogenmod 10 or 11.

Hi all,
Just wondering if anybody knows how I can install Bloomberg for tablet (free app) on my Nexus 7.
If someone could point me to some instructions or an apk, that would be much appreciated.

I was in the same boat, couldn't find a tablet app, seems that Bloomberg are working on one.
Anyway, I found a mobile app and sideloaded it and this will suffice until the tablet version comes out..
Google for the app, then copy it across to your Nexus and run it..

well i just come back to this thread... to share my bloomberg.apk kekek ; the usual apk of your mobile device will work on nexus 7 i just install it yesterday ...
Hello on android lost i installed the android lost app and android lost jumpstart on my nexus 7 and when i go to androidlost.com andgoto controls it says Waiting for phone to be registered.

I think (but am not 100%sure) it requires cell service to control the app via (hidden) SMS messages.
If that is indeed the case, it won't work on wifi-only devices.
You didn't mention whether your unit was a wifi-only or 3g model.
I'm not sure what to recommend as I'm unfamiliar with apps in this space - maybe Plan B ? But for all I know, it might also use the same control channel.

It does look like the dev specifically is trying to address wifi-only devices; OTOH the comment in the "what's new" section from the apps market page sounds like the Dev doesn't have a N7 to test...
Making detection of phone state optional since lots of tablets does not have phone capabilities. Hopefully this should make it work on google nexus 7 tablets

I would try contacting the app dev (reading between the lines, I got the impression you are testing the app rather than having lost the tablet) - he might be eager to have some testers on the N7

I noticed a peculiarity that Google is unable to answer. My Nexus 10 has tap and Pay, and Wallet recognised it. My m7att will not, however, list Tap and Pay as available in Wallet, and it isn't in the settings like it is on Manta. Both were built from the same source sync. Why isn't it available on the m7att?I saw someone say CM11 doesn't have it, either, but no answer there, either. Just curious if anybody knew

Ive tried searching, but cannot find if there is a ROM for the S5 that blocks all google back ground services from reporting on you, whatever info it may be. Ive seen the rumor of the company selling their refurb phones with a custom ROM on it, but at ludicrous prices, and cant even find them at all. Im going to be getting an S5 from a friend soon and want to start stripping it of the fluff and google services if at all possible.
I don't know of any custom ROMs that include Google services by default. Just don't install GApps.

Pardon the stupid questions, im a Windows user and having to investigate the possibility of being forced to move if they dont fix Cortana's voice command (she only does searches when you give her a command) and Interests have been turned off for a while with no warning or reason, but there is a message on a 8.1 phone as to why.
Anywho, how do you load apps if you dont have Gapps/google services? Can you side load them, but where do you get up to date ones if not from the Play store? Is it worth using a free S5 or plunking for a One Plus 6T or 7 or Nokia 8?

Try FDroid, Aurora Store, Yalp. I also side load from pure apk.
/e/ has its own apps store as well.
I use S5 devices. Cheap and operate great.

I just bought a Nokia 7.2 and will be picking it up later tonight I may still get the S5 though.

I've searched around the forums but not sure if I have any options here
I'm not impressed with the amazon experience, and want to install android with google family link so i can restrict it like i do with the kids android phones
I know I can probably get google play on it, but I'd rather just have android only and go from there
Is this a possibility? if so what are some stable roms to look at?

I could not find anything, perhaps it hasn't been worked on yet, let me know if you find out a solution
