We've gone ahead and written two guides on how-to install XBMC to the Amazon Fire TV that you'd probably find useful. Hopefully it's not a problem to link to them from here.

Hotstar recently released fire tv version of the apk which I was able to extract from fire stick. When I try to install the app on the shield tv I keep getting "could not install" error. Is there a way to convert fire tv app to shield tv?
I do not believe there is any Amazon login dependency. If anyone can convert it or there is a way please send it my way.

Yes
Be factory reset
Hi
Factory reset not working. Do you try another solution ?
I did everything to make it working but no hope
Hi,
did anyone find a solution for this problem.
You need to Turn OFF Apps from Unknown Sources and for that, you will need to follow these steps:
On your Mi TV Stick Home, click on the Settings menu
Click on Device Preference
Select Verify Apps and then Turn OFF
If the problem persists, then you can click on Unknown Sources
Then select the App and choose ‘Allow’

If you are having issues installing the Mi TV Stick 4K, here are a few things you can try:
Check your TV compatibility: The Mi TV Stick 4K requires an HDMI port on your TV to connect. Ensure your TV has an HDMI port available and supports HDCP 1.4 or later.
Insert the Mi TV Stick into your TV's HDMI port: Insert the Mi TV Stick into the HDMI port on your TV, and connect the power cable to the USB port on your TV or a power outlet.
Change the HDMI input on your TV: Use your TV remote to change the input to the HDMI port you inserted the Mi TV Stick into.
Follow the on-screen prompts: Once the TV recognizes the Mi TV Stick, you should see the setup screen. Follow the on-screen prompts to connect to your Wi-Fi network and complete the setup process.
Restart the Mi TV Stick: If you encounter any issues during the setup process, try restarting the Mi TV Stick by unplugging it and plugging it back in after a few seconds.
If you still encounter issues with installing your Mi TV Stick 4K, you may want to reach out to Mi customer support for further assistance.
