I was on the bus and the battery reached 0% charge, so it shut down, this had happen before and I just plugged in the charger and it'd start charging, and then I would turn it on.
But now It won't turn on due to 0% battery I imagine, but also it won't charge!, any help is appreciated with what is happening
Ok I fix it pretty quicly sin it was charged at like 1%, let it drain the battery by itself, plugg it in the charger, press Power + Volume Down, screen shows charger icon, let it there sitting, the phone turned itself on after a couple of minutes, let it charge full.

Plugged into the supplied wall charger, my phone will give the message that it's fully charged. I unplug it and it immediately goes to 98% and then if I plug it back in it goes back to 100%.
Has anyone else seen this? Is it a bad battery?
After it says full turn off your phone and let it charge for an additional hour, then turn it back on.
I would not encourage charging your phone while it is in.
I have not noticed this, but on my g1 it would take a bigger hit, but that phone got like 3 hours battery life, so it may have been accurate.
Does anyone know if it stops charging the battery when it gives that message that it's fully charged? If I unplug it and plug it back in it will top off the battery and I get 100%.
This occurs when the OS is not calibrated to the battery.

The OS is reading what is called a surface charge,
After you take the charger off the surface charges last from a few seconds on up to 2 mins. to get a full charge you have to let it sit for another hour or so with the phone off.
Just got home and the nexus was off,
So put on charge and been a hour but still at 0%
If take the USB off it shuts down
So I just back my tablet after it being away for 10-15 days for repairs. It hadn't been charged once in that duration. Now however the battery is zero and I've been charging it for an hour and it's still stuck at 0% and says "0 seconds on battery." And if you unplug the charger it says battery low and shuts down. Is this normal due to not being charged for a long time? Or it something to be worried about?
i have the same whenever i do not use the charger cable that came with it. i dont know why ...
Has anyone figured out this problem? My nexus is at 0 percent and when I turn it on it just turns off after 10 seconds. I left the cable in over night and it did not charge at all. Would appreciate any help.
Today my phone ran down to 0% and it shut down. When I got home I plugged the charger in at around 5pm. Now almost 7 hours later it is still not fully charged. This has never happened before.
Do you know what could be causing it to take so long?
It is plugged in to the wall.
Thanks.
either the phone is not charging at full rate or is discharging very fast. I would try to charge with phone being off, monitor battery discharge during day especially in IDLE and take it from there. You can also download program that shows charging rate.
Hello XDA community,
THIS PROBLEM HAPPENS ONLY WHEN MY PHONE IS TURNED OFF.
Recently, I have had a problem with charging my Nokia 5 when it is turned off. Once it reaches 84%, It stops getting charged but the battery health value on the charging screen remains increasing until it reaches 100%. So when I turn it ON, I find that the battery is only at 84%. I have tried to deplug the charger and plug it again, and It seems that the phone shows up the right value of the battery this time and continue charging until it reaches the true 100% value.
So to summarize, un order to fully charge my phone while it is turned off, I need to re-plug the charger after the first charge phase.
Does anyone suffer from this issue?
