I have a firehd 10 tablet 2021.
I have a problem with it. It shut down automatically when I play some small games ( Subway Surfers, 1945 Air force ...) or maybe I watch video on youtube, reading news on webs, it turn off too.
When it begins to turn off, the screen is black and it appears white words " shutting down" in the center and it turn off after that. But sometÃmes it turn off without anything.
I factory reset my tablet, updates to 7.3.2.6 and all components, then I install some games from amazon app store ( I just play small games like Subway Surfers, Tom Gold Run v.v..) . But It still shut down again. Maybe when I watch video on youtube, or reading news so I also turn off automatically.
Before playing game, the battery is 50%, I just play for about 30 minutes, it turn off, I I turn it on again and the battery is 1%. But it is not crazy like this if the battery is more than 50%. When the battery is more than 50%, it goes down normally.
Today when the battery is 43% and I play for about 30 minutes, the battery goes down to 40% and the tablet turn off. When I turn it on, the battery is 1%.
Please help me.

Soo, I'm experiencing very high battery drain trough Media Server.
When I click on it, it shows "Downloads", "Media Storage", "Download Manager" & "DRM Protected Content".
I'm currently running uXylon 2.9.0 (4.2.2) if it helps, while I haven't heard from anyone having the same problems.
The problem started ever since I installed Play Music, it suddenly starts consuming battery like a mad man,
when I uninstall Play Music, the problems seems to be solved, as Media Server stops showing a higher drain than my SoT
and I get overall better battery life, but even so my SoT usually caps at 2 hrs with sync off, gps off, nfc off...
I just don't get it, what's wrong? I used to get 4-5 hrs SoT, should I change ROM?
I am new to N4. I get around 2 hrs of SoT. ( with playing like max 10 mins of gaming - like subway surfer ). Most of the time, the phone is with 2G data, and whatsapp. That's it. what is wrong with my phone?
Settings->accounts/google/click name, untick sync google play music .. having it on makes any new song you put on your phone upload to the cloud.
For better battery, turn off all the crap, use low brightness for the screen.
No matter on which kernel I am ,stock/franco/semaphore etc... When I play heavy games like asphalt8 ,nfs mw and GTA VC my battery drains like hell ,and then the % stuck and not going down for about 30 minutes. Here is an example:
Had 25% ,launched NFS MW and played for 5 minutes on low brightness. After 5 minutes showed up on my screen the low battery notification ,4% left. Resumed the game and after 20 seconds my phone showed "Shutting down".
It happens everytime ,no matter how many cycles I'm doing. Another example:
Yesterday I had 69% ,played GTA VC for a couple minutes and boom ,35%. After that I surfed in the web ,listened to music in Soundcloud ,and did a lot of things with screen on and battery was stuck on 35% for about 30 minutes. Launched NFS MW ,played about 2 minutes just to see what happens and boom - battery droped to 25%.
It happens only when I play heavy games. Please help me ,what can it be? Tried many roms too ,same result. Now I'm on stock JWR66Y with stock kernel.
thats normal behavior. when using the device heavily, battery drops faster. unfortunately, our battery stats are 100% accurate. when the battery drops fast, actually showing a little more battery used than it actually used. so what you are experiencing is the bounce back affect. what its doing is making itself accurate again. sometimes after using the battery alot and fast, if you let it sit there, the battery % will rise, kinda looks like its being charged without plugging in.

Ok ,got it. But what is the explanation to situation like I described here:
"Had 25% ,launched NFS MW and played for 5 minutes on low brightness. After 5 minutes showed up on my screen the low battery notification ,4% left. Resumed the game and after 20 seconds my phone showed "Shutting down".
Then I turned on my phone and battery % was 10 ,and stuck for a couple of minutes on 10.

our battery stats inaccuracy.
sometimes, when benchmarking at high cpu speeds at 70% battery left, for example, and the phone crashes, itll boot back up and show that theres 20% left(for example). then if you reboot the phone again, it go back to 70%. or if you let it just sit there at that 20% with the screen off, youll notice it slowly "charge" itself without being plugged in. this happens often. and happens on every single android phone starting with tge originally released g1. yes, our battery status is just very inaccurate and inefficient. youve probably heard of people experiencing the rlod(red light of death). this is also a good example. sometimes the phone itself creates a situation that itjust thinks that the battery fell below 0%(which creates the rlod issue). and when people get their phone up and running again, itll show 50, 60, 70%..

It's so annoying ,I'm getting crazy with that.
Anyway thank you @simms22 for your answer and your help ,appreciate it.
:good:
Hey guys, I've recently got an weird issue with my LG G2, the "android system" process seems to get very high usage, even higher than the screen, It was OK first when I got the phone, but afer couple of weeks it started to get very high usage on "android system" process, and I don't know what causing it.
I've tried several things already - disable google now, disable locations, disable autosync - no luck!
Anyone with an idea what is going on?
I'm on stock 4.2.2, not rooted, no haks

It's not normal for android System to be above the screen in the battery stats, unless you never turn on your phone screen.
The reason why you didn't have that problem before, was because you used your phone very much throughout the day and the screen on time would (naturally) be higher than your Android System.
Now that you use your phone regularly, it has settled down. All is perfectly normal.
Ok, cheers
but even when I play Real Racing 3 for an hour it still shows like 9% and android system 20+% how can it be, when this game is realy power hungry and melting my battery

It's the knock code, part of the Android System. The phone is waiting for you to unlock it by double tapping. It's normal. If you want a little more power, disable knockon and use the back button to turn on/off the device.

I'm not sure if it is, but if the phone "listens" for knock it should consume more battery while screen off, but it's not; I've did some more tests :
1) screen off, wifi on - 1 our I've got 1% drop in battery;
2) screen off, wifi off, data off - 3-4 hours got 1% drop;
3) screen on constantly, not doing anything on the phone just sit idle - 5-6% drop per hour;
4) screen on, playing any game BUT Real racing 3 - 9-10% drop per hour;
5) screen on, playing Real racing 3 - 18-20% drop per hour;
even when i charged the battery full, and start play RR3, after 1 hour I've got ~80% battery and on battery stats it says RR3 used ~9% screen ~20% and android system ~35% - weird?

go ahead and backup your data
and perform a factory reset
maybe some of the OS files are not correctly installed or something you installed messed them up.
ok... to save even more battery life. Get "Deep Sleep battery saver"
I have a smartphone connected 100% of the time to get all my notifications.
I only use my Note8 for reading and play. There is no reason it needs to be getting notifications of emails, texts, news, social media.. unless I wake it up to use.
after I did the battery disconnect tip. it went from 1.5hrs WAKE time to more than 5 hrs.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2274678
but.. even when sleeping.. it would drain about 1-2% battery per hr sleeping.
android and system processes! and media updates.
so I found this app called: "Deep Sleep battery saver".
when the screen is off.. it turns everything off.. all connections.
allows NO updates.
you can set it up .. to wake up for 1 minute every hr.. or 2 hrs.. or 4 hrs. l selected "no waking up".
when the screen comes back on.. it lets the tablet get updates. normally there are none, because I have already taken care of them via the smartphone.
now the Note8 sleeps .. and only uses about 1% every 3 to 4 hrs.
I estimate about 10% per day lost if left alone sleeping.
I think if I left the tablet alone for a week.. it would still have a charge!

OK, doesn't setting airplane mode or disable sync with Wifi on when charging keep good battery run times. I don't use apps for power save, just config what is available to get great sleep power savings. When sleeping I can get 0% used in 19 hours.
that is what you would think.
but android tries to do things in the background.
it aint the apps..
android processes. eating time and battery.

i beg to differ... its all about apps. i try to run browser over using email apps. Many of the apps you get have analytics or some method to do background data. youtube, google music, weather, and briefing wil drain your battery, not Android.
to combat apps, use greenify... my main use for it is to keep my memory clean. having it save battery power was a bonus.
i agree.. generally.
my Note3 sleeps fine.. and does NOT abuse the battery while sleeping.
the Note8 does not sleep quietly. Now, with Deep Sleep.. it is great.
Hey all,
The first time this happened a few days ago I thought it was a fluke, but the problem has now happened twice. Watching youtube with my battery ~7%, the phone froze, and proceeded to reboot itself. Upon turning back on, it showed 6%,. It quickly drained within 5-10 minutes to 0%, and then shut off. Today I was writing a hangouts message with 5% battery left and same thing happens. Phone froze for a few seconds, then force restarted itself. Booted back up and showed 4% battery, then quickly drained to 0% in minutes and turned off. It is weird as the system is turning itself back on, so it realizes the battery isn't actually dead... but the battery is reaching a point where it is low enough to cause the system to meltdown (maybe the OS is throttling itself?)
The first few days I got the phone I also noticed early shutoff, where the phone would actually run out of battery while still displaying 6-8% still remaining. Also frustratingly, when my phone enters "battery saver mode" at 15%, it very often causes my foreground all to refresh itself in RAM, especially if the app has a "dark mode" battery saver option. Not sure if this last bit is normal or not, but it interrupts whatever I am doing.
Any thoughts? The battery life is OK otherwise with 3-4 hours SOT.
