Question NP1 Dolby Atmos - Nothing Phone 1

According to specs I've read, NP1 fully supports Dolby Atmos. But there ain't an option to choose it. I'm too chicken to install the only magisk mod (for Razer 2) that worked for me on my OnePlus 5T because it alters the fingerprint. It gets the phone thinking it's a Razor 2. But I'm almost weighing the pros over the cons. So I'm curious has anyone successfully installed a/any Dolby Atmos Magisk mod/s that actually works on NP1?

Pure Nexus. Working perfectly.
I can't stand sound mods that involve more than one app. Just the other week I found something that looked promising, installed it, and then I had viper/Dolby/some Sony eq app/ and some terminal commands. I hated it. I don't see the point in it. Unless you have a few hundred dollars in any type of sound system, and even then most of the tuning can be done from amps/eq
The most Ill go is viper4android ALONE. and even when I do that, I have to modify my goto interactive governor tweaks to eliminate clipping and distortion when the screen turns off.

Try Arise. You will only need to set up V4A, nothing else. If you experience crackling with it, try sonophilo's setprop instead of the default one (instructions in the thread), it usually eliminates all distortions for me. And the quality on the "Numbers" release is hands down much superior to basic V4A installation (i am using also the optional Atmos add-on, i use it instead of v4a equalizer and it's better imo) .
the ARISE sound mod is working for me... it work mm like stock and pa and also works on android nougat
Arise numbers is the best I've used so far. Much better sound quality than just using V4A or ViperAtmos.

Is ARISE working on CM13 too? I have tested and used it on Pure Nexus And its Awesome. Just THinking if our device had a much better DAC chip it would blow my earphones

Should work but not sure since I've just tried Arise with Pure Nexus.
hello, can anybody teach me how to install ARISE step by step? because I flashed V4A on PN with EX kernel and although I didnt have 'driver' issues, the v4a doesnt effect the sound itself. already tried changing values in EQ but no effect.

Is there a way to get Dolby Atmos on CM13?

I really only use it for the speakers. This is the only thing I'm hesitant of letting go as I try moving to CM13. I know some people don't like it, but I found it works really well with V4A for the speakers.
Edit: I'll give this a try.
let us know how it works ... I like Atmos for when I'm using the phones speakers and would hate to lose that if I moved to CM ..... would be nice if it could be installed
I came across something similar. Try divine 7.0 (Google it and you'll get an xda link) it'll replace at most with Dolby digital +. It's doesn't sounds the same as stock but it's better than bare cm sounds. And plus, it causes great distortion so also have to wait until the distortion issue gets solved

Stock dolby atmos on Los

Hi,
I've came accross this thread : https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/apps-games/soundmod-axon-7-dolby-atmos-t3412342,
And I would like to know if anyone succeded to flash, and launch the axon 7 stock atmos this on a los based rom ? I just find it way better than the atmos we get from A.R.I.S.E....
Use ARISE to set SE Linux to permissive and let it install viper4android, then flash dolby atmos or use the included dolby that comes with ARISE
I'm using the Dolby that comes with ARISE. Works with very little issues, plus you get V4a too.
It is slightly buggy, and doesn't always switch profiles (V4a), but not that hard to switch manually.
So far i've only managed to install the dolby atmos that come with ARISE. It's doing an okay job, but not as good as stock. It's ironic that you can't install the stock Axon7 atmos on the axon itself with a Los based rom, but that it seems to works on other phones...

Used the 2.4 version from ahrion, and it's working pretty well.
I have notice sound kind of sucks if you aren't on stock. It is distorted when you turn it all the way up and seems to playback in mono.

There was a (flashable) audio fix a little over a week ago that fixed this (distortion and mono). There is just no "processing" with any kind of EQ now, so the sound is pretty flat and thin. If you flash something like V4a or this Dolby app, or both, it sounds really darn close to stock.

It gives me the message that it succesfully installed, but the app and libraries of dolby are not in system.

Best ROM for audio quality

I'm on stock miui with Evira kernelm
Since I bought this phone I realized the sound through headphones is pure (I own a Sennheiser ones)
So I installed viper, but same result, only the bass is deepest
Reading in other forums somebody told me that using not MIUI ROMS, results in a better sound experience.
What can you tell me?

Only you have the headphones and only you can tell how good the sounds on your phone are so I suggest that you try different ROMs yourself.
BTW, I don't think ROMs differ much in terms of sound quality. You have V4A installed so the best you can do is to configure it the way it suits your gears and the way you like it to be.
Cheers! :fingers-crossed:

Dolby for Pie Magisk module from XDA works well with the newer Viper v.2.7.1.0 You could also buy yourself a USB-C Audio adapter off a Google Pixel or Razer Phone, i have one off the Razer phone and music through that compared to the normal earphone jack is miles better.
I was about to ask in a posting how good is the headphone sound quality. My mate 9 sounds awesome compared to the OnePlus 6t so I sold the oneplus. I'm going to order this phone but just wanted to make sure headphones sound good.
