Hello,
Where my bluetooth previously worked on Android 5.0, ever since upgrading my i9505 to 6, Bluetooth does seem to connect, but calls still go though the speaker and I cannot change it to Bluetooth mode (my car, however, sees it). And when hanging up the phone, the phone will say "Hanging Up" yet still stay connected for what seems to be an indefinite amount of time - or until I restart the phone. Needless to say, callers on the other end cannot hear me. And, when playing music, the car's head unit does show that it's playing but again, music comes through the phone's speaker only.
Any advice? I've already tried flashing AOSP 6.0 and Kushan CM 13.0 and it's the same thing on both.
Thanks.

Simple
6.0 Rom bugs.
Wait until they are fixed
They all are based on the same code. So if one roms has it they all have it.
Keep in mind that MM is brand new so you just have to be patient for it to be fixed.

In a strange coincidence, I had all sorts of trouble on my i9505 with Bluetooth on 5 but is mostly resolved on 6 (CM 13 official).

same here, but now i have new one's like connecting my mi band at all :/
I also had problems with BT with the CM13 Official Nightlies, and also with the Resurrection Remix.
But I now use the JDCTeam 6.0.1 ROM, and I don't have BT issues, I only use my BT in car, but I can send and receive phone calls, and also stream my music via BT.
Furthermore, almost everyone complains about the no sound with the calling issues.
I also had those issues back to the official CM13 and the RR 6.0.1 versions.
For me, this ROM is really good, you would maybe give it a try.
I use an old bootloader, the FNB8, but it seems to work pretty fine.
Hello,
does anyone else has issues connecting to their car Bluetooth device? I can connect to other phones and transfer files. I can also connect to a couple of Bluetooth speakers, but when I am in my car, my phone does not see my device.
I am running Validus Release 13.7 on a Moto G4 Plus (1644).
Bluetooth works fine on Stock MM.

Thanks strongst.
I wanted to try Los14.1 OMS, but on the OP, it says that BT file transfer is not working.
I transfer a lot of files to and from my PC. Does this work for you?

Thank you Sir! I cleared the files. I just need to get off work and try it out again. Will post an update as soon as I get the results.
I works now. I reset my BT settings on my device after deleting the files mentioned above.
Thanks for your assistance.
I have a new 2017 Subaru Impreza. I am using the latest official Lineage 14.1.
When I pair to the car for the first time Lineage says "Peer supports advanced feature Re-pair from peer to enable it."
The only supported services listed are "Phone Audio", "Media audio", & "Contact sharing"
Next to the connected device it keeps flashing (no phone audio) sporadically. It looks like it is dropping the connection and reconnecting.
My owners manual recommends that the phone support HFP 1.6, PBAP 1.1.1, MAP 1.0, PAN 1.0, DUN 1.1, SPP 1.1, A2DP 1.2, and AVRCP 1.4
The only suggestions I have found online are to delete the connection on the car radio and re-pair it. However, once I delete it on the car radio it removes it from Lineage.
My car radio has a PIN when I first set it to pair, but I never see that prompt on Lineage. I click the Subaru BT that shows up and then I see a prompt from Lineage to pair with a different PIN and then a confirmation on my car radio with that PIN.
It looks like someone posted the same issue on jira.lineageos.org/browse/BUGBASH-264
Thanks in advance for any help,
Etienne66
LineageOS version: 14.1-20170419-NIGHTLY-klte
I pulled out my old Samsung Galaxy S3 running CM11-20150831-SNAPSHOT-XNG3CA03FN-dlte and it paired up fine and the phone worked. I'm going to try and upgrade it to LineageOS 14.1 and see how it does. I guess if it works that might point the direction as something specific to the klte branch, but I have seen bug reports for other phones that are having a similar problem with the phone not working via HFP.
Thanks,
Etienne66
Alright I tried LineageOS 14.1-2017501-NIGHTLY-d2att on my old S3 and although I did get "Peer supports advanced feature Re-pair from peer to enable it.", the phone worked fine. I did not get that message with CM11. So the problem is definitely something to do with the klte build and not just a Lineage OS issue. I'm going to guess that it is a problem with the driver used for Bluetooth and that is why the problem shows up on other devices that probably use the same driver.
Oh... The bugs that seem to be related are BUGBASH-96, BUGBASH-264 & BUGBASH-308.
Thanks,
Etienne66
I found BUGBASH-308 is specifically for klte and mentions a change to /system/etc/init.qcom.bt.sh on the line "setprop ro.bluetooth.hfp.ver 1.7" to "setprop ro.bluetooth.hfp.ver 1.6", but Lineage OS does not appear to have this file.
I'm sure this is the problem with my car because it specifically says in the user manual that it supports up to HFP 1.6.
Does anyone know where Lineage OS moved this setting and how it can be changed?
Thanks,
Etienne66
BUGBASH-308 has been fixed and this problem is gone.
A big thanks goes to Kevin Haggerty
Thanks,
Etienne66
Hi,
After updating to oreo (clean flash) i have issues connecting to my car bluetooth (vw tiguan). it keeps disconnecting every 5 sec. randomly (very rare) it works without pb.
i tried changing bluetooth codec (sbc, aptx, aptxhd), or avrcp version (1.4, 1.5, 1.6) the pb still remains
any help? suggestion? or a way to post logs?
With Nougat it never happened
Thanks
Similar issue here. I have a fully clean flash of OOS5.0 (because I douched my storage the first time) and bluetooth seems fine sometimes, and other times it's totally borked. I listened to 2 hours of podcasts without issue, then it just constantly disconnected/reconnected. I tried rebooting, unpairing, changing codecs...same issue. Next day, it's totally fine again.
My seat Leon my 16 discover pro does mostly not connected automatically on Oreo.
Tried cleanflash of oreo, no change.
Back to 7.1.1 everything fine.
My case is similar but slightly different. My car is an old one (Seat leon from 2005) which Bluetooth connection is used only for phone calls. This seems to be working fine.
However I'm using an add-on to connect multimedia through Bluetooth to the radio, and this add-on is not working fine with my Oreo OP5.
So I guess the problem for the other reported issues should be related to the multimedia connection instead of the phone one.
Absolutely
Phone calls are working fine
On my VW Golf VII not connected automatically on Oreo. Works fine before. Clean Install... don´t help.
I must switch BT off and on and then connect to my car.
Oneplus 5 is my first Oneplus. And from beginn problems with BT. After some updates works fine. Now the same after Oreo.
Same here with parrot handsfree. Nougat was OK....
Same here with 2017 Audi A4. Bluetooth do not connect automatically.
Works fine with nougat before.
I use the app 'Bluetooth auto connect' to force OP5 to connect to Audi, when I turn on the screen. (little work around).
The OP3T from my wife (also with oreo) connect fine to my audi.
Gesendet von meinem ONEPLUS A5000 mit Tapatalk
I have switched off 'media audio' in Bluetooth Settings of OP5 and Bluetooth connect without any problem with my Audi. (tested it two times)
Will continue testing.....
Gesendet von meinem ONEPLUS A5000 mit Tapatalk
Switch of Car for <10 minutes and try and also only off for 10 seconds
I also thought this helps, next day not working....
For the last few days it has been working fine in my car (2016 BMW 340i), but in my wife's car (2015 BMW 328i) with the same media interface, it actually CRASHES the entire car's system and iDrive does a full reboot. Never seen that before with any device.
Anyone tried open beta 3 ?
My OP5 connects to the Anker SoundSync handsfree, calls and media are OK just as before, the only thing that have gone with the stable official Oreo update are the bluetooth control buttons.
Any idea would be appreciated

Hello i've downloaded the new beta 5 of Android q. Since this update whenever i'm connected with wifi it tells me no internet connexion i have to be connected through lte. Bluetooth doesn't work aswell whenever i try to listen to music with my earphone the bluetooth crash.
No issues with Beta 5 on mine. You might want to nuke and pave and see if it fixes it.
Stock phone.

The wifi issue was actually with my router so it's ok but thé bluetooth is a problem. I saw a Reddit post about it i'm not the only one with this issue. The bluetooth earphone only works when aptx is disabled.

Fastboot flashed the last PIE, then did the adb sideload of Q 5
Everything now works fine
Tested Bluetooth audio with q5 and it works with my pioneer head unit, my HD JBL headphones and my MC Helmet Bluetooth.
How's the battery compare to Pie? is it the same or better?
