Jordan announce this year that they will not go for Daylight Saving Time (DST). Accordingly I adjusted the time zone setting in my phone Note7 to be manual and I select GMT+3. In reality Jordan is at GMT+2. recently I install an application for the following of the sales representatives that must have access to my phone date and time settings, and this application will not work unless the date and time setting is set at automatic mode. When I set automatic date and time setting it goes back to GMT+2 and my phone clock changes.
Other collegues having phones like Techno, Iphone and event Galaxy S20 do not have this issue. They can force the automatic date and time setting to be GMT+3 while they are in Jordan, consequently the application work in their phones.
Do you have any suggestion on how I can force the automatic date and time setting to be GMT+3 at Note7. I understand that Android 13 can solve this issue, accordingly how I can install Android 13 at Note7?
Thanks in advance for you all

I have an 8525 with the latest HTC ROM, 2.15.502.3. My calendar wont keep my appointment times accurate. The day of the appointment is always as I entered it, but the time is often off. Sometimes the time of the appointment is right, sometimes it is off by 6, 7, 8, or 9 hours later. I have tried a soft reboot and the problem continues. I have tried resetting all the appointments to the correct times, but they get off again.
What is the problem and how can I fix it?? Help!!
Make sure that your time zone settings on the phone AND on your PC are the same as the one you live in.
Ok, I figured it out. For some reason my phone kept automatically setting my time to London/Dublin time. Even though I would change it manually, it would reset it back to London time in a few minutes. Sometimes it would cycle back and forth. So, I went to the settings in Phone and turned off the automatic time adjustment.
Phone> Menu> Options > Time Zones >Unckeck the box "Automatic change time zone and clock".
I guess ATT has a tower here that gives off a London Time instead of a San Diego Time.
Weird! But that fixed it!
Hello,
My Hero automatically set my timezone to Magadan (gmt+11) witch is ok because I am in New Caledonia (gmt +11) But it seems that Mgagadan is in daylight saving time (GMT+12) And my hero applies it to me whereas we do never change time here in new caledonia.
The result is a wrong time (+1 hour) witch is annoying... How can i disable daylight saving time?
Regards
You need to turn off network provided values in date and time settings so you can manually set the time zone and time.

Same the only gmt+11 is vladivostok in daylight saving time... Sms I receive are one hour in the future.
My time zone is set to +8 and it needs to be -5. The option in settings > date & time is grayed out. And the automatic time thing is enabled. How do I fix this?

Date and time reset everytime I remove the battery. Is this normal?
This behavior started after one year of use. On the other hand clock and date are on right values if I do a factory reset but when I pull the Li-ioN out same story repeats It's annoying because i do this daily and messages are all messed up if i receive them before I set the time ... bah. Anyway how can i make my phone allways (after every battery change) sync the clock as it does after factory reset? Yes i have checked automatically sync clock with network. Does HTC Tattoo has any internal batteries to run the clock? Can i run this issue under warranty?

Yes it is normal in following condition
automatic time update off in settings
your network can't give real time or not update time
when i go to my college my phone time always goes wrong because network tower in that area always show wrong time (Also my friend lives in that area have that problem)
if settings is not OK correct them
for network u can't do anything
But what is the diference in protocol to sync date&time when resetart in factory reset and regular restart? Because on the factory reset clock syncs somehow with network and its diplayed correctly but not if I just remove the battery.
Whats the deal with internal battery does Tatto has one?
I have a question like this one. If i turn "automatic time update" on , and the alarm will be late some mins. sometimes, the time will be correct when I wake the phone up ....
for alarm go here
tattoo not have any internal battery so when u remove battery date time deleted from memory & when u do factory reset it first set ur information gmail setup & automatic time setting on that time
Hi Guys,
I have a very specific challenge for the ones who know more than me.
Problem statement:
- I'm a diabetic and wear a certain glucose sensor which can se scanned via NFC with the mobile phone to measure blood glucose. It can be scanned either via manufacurer's app, or other 3rd party apps (like Glimp)
- problem is that this sensor is "set" to only last 14 days, on the dot!
- I've figured out that this "duration" is highly dependant on the time/date of the Android device/time of sensor activation: if I set the time back a few days it will show more time left of the sensor but the app has a built-in feature which does not allow me to scan the sensor if the Android's "Automatic time/date detection" feature is turned OFF, hence the predicament
The Challenge is to trick the app to think the app into thinking the "Automatic time/date detection" is turned ON, while being able to alter the device's time (into the past) so it would allow more run time days out of the sensor (which is quite expensive to replace and otherwise seems to be able to work just fine for a longer period).
Would this be possible? It would sure help me a lot!
try the next:
-turn off time/date auto update
-set up date what you want
-enter airplane mod... make sure wifi turned off too
-turn on time/date auto update
hit thanks if it working
Hi,
Thanks for your reply! Unfortunately, the time sets back to current time once I re-enable Automatic time/date.
Wifi/4G OFF + Plane mode ON.
@yussuf007 - you da' man!
With a little bit more tinkering I managed to fool the thing. Procedure is the following:
- enter airplane mode ... no need to turn off wifi/4G, they will be off once airplane is enabled
-turn off time/date auto update
- set up date what you want
- RESTART PHONE
- turn back ON time/date auto update
- turn back ON NFC
- Scan sensor. The thing now thinks it's back in time and works fine.
Thanks again!
