So Im tryin to install a custom recovery on my tab and I saw twrp is kinda wack for it so Im tryin to do it with lineage recovery but there isnt any tutorials or downloads I can find of it. (Im a newbie as u guys can tell)

I have a galaxy s5 G900F and i tried to install a ROM. I rooted the phone ( i think I have Rootchecker says its rooted). I tried every recovery i found to install but none worked. When i try to enter recovery the screen just goes black. I managed to install 1 recovery and enter it i think its TWRP 3.0.2 but when i tried instaling a ROM there was an error 7. Can someone pls tell me what I need to do. My android is 6.0
And I've had a Htc One X and S3 and I had noo problems instaling ROMs there.

This could be due to problem with aroma installer and latest twrp 3.0.2-2, for me twrp 3.0.2-1 work fine (if it doesn't work try twrp 3.0.0-0)
Are you installing recovery by ODIN? You shouldn't have problem in this way
Hi! I just got a Nexus 7 given to me and it had a older version of CM installed so I jumped the gun and updated to 12.1 CM with updating CM recovery checked accidentally. How can I switch to TWRP recovery before I reroot and flash DU 6.0? I am sorry for the stupid mistake but I don't want a brick so I am asking for help! I don't have my PC at my current location so not sure what to do! I really appreciate any help, info, or advice! Thanks!

Hey again sorry but I got it figured out by flashing SU first to reroot then used TWRP manager to install new TWRP recovery! Everything seems good so I will try a new ROM soon! Thanks again!
It won't work. You'll get a vbmeta error. This is due to the developer giving up on development and they won't continue. Thanks. If you need a custom recovery, get flashify and flash Lineage Recovery. Thank you.
where do u actually get the lineage recovery im a big newbie
I've been searching for a custom recovery for this device, and I've come up with nothing. I'm rooted with magisk, and decided to try porting twrp myself.... Idk what I'm doing here. I have the aik module and followed a guide, flashed the end result and it didn't change anything. Still stock. Is there anyone more skilled at this then I that will port twrp to this device?

I need some help
I was stock yesterday
Folowed the guide on firts post and managed to OEM unlock, activate developer, debuging on etc,flash vbmeta, then flashed lineage recovery, then i could not istall rom for lack know how, then i flashed twrp over lineage recovery.
Downloaded latest lineage and gapps from provided links.
managed to install both no problem, i boot to lineage and do inicial setup etc.
The problem is when i restart the tablet or turn it of, it wipes everything and im back to the initial setup.
Can someone give me some insight on whats happening?
i dont want root so i passed the magisk steps.

Managed to install with lineage recovery and everyything is fine now
