S999 Smart Watch MTK-6761: Stock Firmware, Unlock Booloader, Root, GSI Roms... - Other SmartWatches

Hello guys, i open this thread as an open discussion about the S999 Smart Watch device which is working great !!
S999 (MTK-6761) maybe branded as:
- Lokmat APPLP Max
- JingTider S999
- BEESCLOVER S999
-...
I was able to get latest SP fLash Tools Firmware from Lokmat Support (V9-regular S999 for all devices) that can also fix imei/device ID...
Here is the link:
4G_H19_S999_EN_V0.9_P_user_20220611
I was able to one-click unlock bootloader using mtk-client (only works for me under Linux, but Windows Version available):
MTK-Client
Also, i played with some GSI ROMS flashed with SP Flash Tools, a lot of them works! But also a lot of them get both of the internal microphone/bluetooth headset activated so this results to an horrible "echo" of my voice during calls. Please someone can fix this?! or give a workaround?
The only rom i found that 100% works (no echo in bluetooth mode, but need to use Firefox for browser video playing) is Corvus OS A12 Official (i'm not an android dev so maybe you guys can found what makes bluetooth headset working with no echo in this rom and not in the others). I don't want to use A12 Rom i would prefer A10 or A11 but with bluetooth working!!!:
GSI ROMS List
Also i tried to port recovery to TWRP with no success, again, maybe you guys can port the recovery to custom one for this device?!
Here is the stock recovery extracted from stock rom above:
S999 Stock Recovery
The Corvus OS Rom is working great on this device, altought you need to pull off the sim card ("OK" button for sim code cannot be reached) on first boot to change DPI size (around 400).
Also after some charge/discharge cycles battery drain seems to be ok (maybe better than stock), but i'm also looking for a good "overlay" file/script to get this device working as best as possible, can someone do that?! (if you need something from stock rom .zip or SP Flash Read Back partitions/files i can provide it...

Hi, i ve also been playing with the same device. Currently running android 10 via crdrom rom. Works pretty okay although i havent tried out sim card functionality.
However i do have an issue, which im thinking could be hardware or MTK decided to do it, so i wanted to ask you of that also happens to you. So basically on all the roms i have tried out including the stock one, auto rotation doesnt work. Although i see accelerometer values using a sensor test app, but there is a orientation sensor from mtk which is always showing 0 and my autorotation just doesn’t work.
Did you experience the same? Also did you manage to find a trick to use heart rate sensor running custom rom?
Little tip: if you want to have the stock watch faces, you can extract these from the stock rom or in the worst case i can send them to you and then install them on your custom rom. They are essentially just live walpapers.
My setup:
-Crdrom android 10
-Using autogyro to manually change rotation to horizontal
-Microsoft launcher for app drawer, looks great in horizontal mode also
-Installed stock watch faces and set lock mode to none so i get the same functionality as on stock

Hello, are there instructions on how to do this? I just got this watch and would like to see what it can really do. Thanks!
EDIT: Just a quick update...I've installed the MTK-Client for Windows. I now only need to understand how to use it to load an image to the smart watch.
Thanks much!

Another update...I have the USB driver, Python, SP Flash Tool and MTK Client all operational now. I just cannot figure out how to get the watch into BROM mode to be able to connect. Android Development Studio actually does recognize when the device is plugged in but none of the apps seem to be able to read the device. Any suggestions?

You can Power Off the Device and start the Application (mtk client or whatever..) and let the Application wait for the Device.
Your Watch must be powered off AND DISCONNECTED FROM PC!!!!
While your Application is waiting for the Device please connect the POWERED OFF Watch to the PC.
This is the same procedure as you are flashing with SP-Flashtool, i asume so.
A Step for Step guide would be very nice and helpfull for "HOW TO UNLOCK THE BOOTLOADER" with MTK-Client.
I do not have one!

I did get it to connect using the method you described and SP-Flashtool. Too uncertain of what to do next to make any changes. It still doesn't connect to MKT-Client.

Hmm,
the owner of this Thred might help!
He did it successfully.
I did it with a different Method long time ago....
It´s CM2MT2 and the Dongle for it.
Yes, i payed for, but i love it because it is just working perfect and very simple too.
A simple description in the attachment, but i don´t know if it will help you!?
On what maschine you are working, Windows or Linux?
If Win you like to check the Drivers for the Watch in the Devicemanager of Windows there don´t has to be anywhere a yellow triangle.
If so a Driver is not correct installed. Until the yellow trinagle persists you have to troubleshoot and solve this first!

I'm on Windows...Yeah, already ran into a bit of troubleshooting with getting the Python modules properly installed before I was able to get the to MTK GUI. I am fairly technical and just haven't done this particular thing before; so, am starting from the beginning. My world is mostly PHP/CSS/SQL with some minor dabbling in other aspects. I've loaded images into ROMs before but on routers and such.
Any help is certainly appreciated...I appreciate the information!

Maybe you should learn more... there is no "image" to "load" via MTK-client...This tool is only to unlock bootloader. Also please try harder to learn by yourself = every commands and instructions are on the github page of mtk-client.
To flash new rom:
- Unlock Bootloader
- Enable USB Debugging in developper options
- Download and install adb/fastboot drivers and program for windows
- In windows terminal type:
adb reboot bootloader
- Then your device will reboot in fastboot mode
- Type:
fastboot erase system
fastboot flash system nameofyourrom.img
fastboot -w
fastboot reboot

If you can try with a live usb linux (ubuntu or something else)
Device powered off i only type:
python mtk e metadata,userdata,md_udc (errors allowed)
and
python mtk da seccfg unlock
then connected my device...= Instant unlocking
I also experiment trouble to get this device up under windows, go Linux

Thank you for so kindly steering me in the right direction.
I clearly need to learn more - hence the questions and statements indicating that I had not done this particular thing before.
That said, I have spent many hours thus far learning and managing to get the Python install to work on Windows without throwing module not found errors.
I had not indicated that I thought the image was to be installed via one app or the other, just that I had the programs set up and was looking for the correct order to do things in.
While they may not need to be "loaded" via the MTK client, the ROMs are still system "images" that get up"loaded"/written into the device's memory.

View attachment 5828415View attachment 5828417Hi These are some of the screenshots,I actually didnt do any modifications, didnt really have time to play that much with it, initially i ve bought it to use while on work, for teams, but still havent used it, it was actually turned off for the last month or so haha
Anyway, I m using Microsoft Launcher, I find it really great since I can use it in horizontal mode, which is the only natural way of using this device since the width is too small and you re anyway gonna be using it while on wrist (for most stuff). I ve set no lock screen and instead use button to lock/unlock which makes it more similar to smartwatch. The big clock you can see is actually one of the clocks from the original image, since I ve figured out the original clock images on the original image are just live wallpapers, so you can actually use it on your custom rom also, however the multi functional clocks work partially, depending on what you click and also any clock image using heart rate monitor will fail.
If you want heart rate monitor I ve also found one app that actually works on this device, but personally I dont really use it. For the above mentioned problem of horizontal rotation, i am using autogyro app which works pretty well.

How to Flash Succesfully Any verion of Firefox OS
Get the Build(user.img,boot.img,system.img,data.img)
download a build from here http://elsimpicuitico.wordpress.com/firefoxos/
make your own with the mozilla guide (so stop here and follow mozilla guide)https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/Firefox_OS/Building_and_installing_Firefox_OS
get one from a friend
Plug-in your Alcatel Fire(Hamachi)
Make sure you have the "Remote Debugging" enabled(Settings > Device information > More information > Developer > Remote Debugging)
Look inside the .zip/tar.gz you had downloaded, there some "flash" files. If:
You are on windows:double click on "flash.bat"
You are on linux, open the terminal in the folder you had unzipped the build, and type"./flash"
Done
If you have a consumer phone, not a dev edition, you will not get root access on adb.
So you have to do this in a Linux machine(or with Cygwin):
shutdown phone
power on pressing "volume-"
it will get 'stuck' into the "alcatel" logo. don't worry it probably worked, this is the screen for fastboot mode as well.
plug in your computer and check `fastboot devices`. if any error here, go read one of the thousands guides for fastboot and android usb drivers
get any boot image from that page. ideally one from the same country as it may matter....
flash the boot image on your phone with. test first with `fastboot boot boot.img`. if it works, redo the above steps and make it permanent `fastboot flash boot boot.img`. You need any boot image that has default.prop setting the user for adb as 0 instead of the default 1.
If you want the ClockworkMod recovery i can update this post to explain how to flash it .
If you will have any problem ,I'll help you and I will update this thread with your problem with the fix
Some infos
When you turn On your Alcatel OTF,you have 4sec to hold "volume-" button just after powering it up. It will stop at initial Alcatel’s logo.If you are ona Linux computer you can confirm that it is connected by typing "fastboot devices"-
Th Codenme of this phone is:Hamachi.

nope. It is inconsistent as hell right now. Try to compile an image or use a latest build and submit bug reports (it's a full weekend effort just to get started, i tell you that)

Is there any chance to do video for this, since most blogs are on Spanish and i believe most of us have no expirience in this? :S

just follow the points. and when it mentions "look for a guid on something" it is because there are already a ton of video-or-not guides on that stuff
any point in particular you are having trouble?
But a warning, it is unstable. the shipped image has pretty much everything you need anyway (a stable browser)
upgrading to 1.4 will give you almost nothing else new. The browser still has no extra options. no add-ons. nothing. just tabs, back foward, clear history. that is all. most of the changes from 1.1 to 1.4 were in the gaia (ffos launcher) and even that, weren't too interesting ones to being with.
my advice is to stick with the shipped image if you are not going to code for ffos. Or at least help submiting bug reports.

I have intention on building apps for Firefox OS only, so I would like to see new versions, since Telenor in my country is retarded, they ain't relased 1.3 yet, even its been almost a month since relase. -.-

Having a device in the older version is good for that... just so you have an idea, i got my phone in a mexican store. it came with 1.1 and no sign of update ...ever. so your users will NOT be on the latest version anyway.
i suggest you simply use the emulator. develop. and ocasionaly test your app on your 1.3 device for performance and multitouch tests
if you really want to flash just to test apps, not to use your phone daily, you don't even need root just to update the image. unless you want a backup...
just use fastboot to overwrite the system partition (the user interface and gecko code). No root needed. just 3 steps:
1. boot with volume down.
2. plug USB in computer when it gets stuck on the white alcatel screen.
3. `fastboot flash system <name_of_the_file_with_system.img>`
that is all you need.
you will still be able to re-do that any time, so, go crazy. there is no way to brick the phone with that. (your system may be unusable if you use a bad image, but you can always flash a good one later on)
Well I want to use it daily, using apps and stuff like that, but also want to develop. I thought to try for this low device until some better phone came, or even tablet, much faster and stronger, than that will be other story.
Actually,will ship:
The ZTE Open C has a 4-inch, 800x480 display, a dual-core 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 processor, 3G networking; 1,400mAh battery, 512MB RAM, 2GB flash storage, and 3-megapixel camera. The Spanish carrier Telefonica will sell it in Venezuela and Uruguay in the second quarter of 2014, ZTE said.
The ZTE Open II has a 3.5-inch 480x320 display, dual-core 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, 3G networking; 1,150mAh battery, 256MB RAM, 2GB flash storage, and 2-megapixel camera. Telefonica will sell this model in six countries
The Alcatel One Touch Fire S, the company's highest-end model, has 4G LTE networking, a 4.5-inch 960x540 IPS screen, a quad-core 1.2GHz processor, an 8-megapixel rear-facing camera and 2-megapixel front-facing camera, and support for near-field communications (NFC).
The Alcatel One Touch Fire E is a step down. It's also got a4.5-inch 960x540 screen, but not with in-plane switching, and its 1.2GHz processor is only a dual-core model. Its rear-facing camera has a 5MP resolution but its front-facing camera is only 0.3MP.
The Alcatel One Touch Fire C is the clear successor to 2013's model. Its 3.5-inch 480x320 screen is the same size, but it now is accompanied by a dual-core 1.2GHz processor. Its camera is pretty low-end, just a 0.3-megapixel model.
and DO NOT FORGET the 25$ model:
Allwinner A31 (1.2GHz); Cortex-A7 Quad-core, PowerVR 544MP2
4.5-inch screen (FWVGA 854×480 pixels)
Cameras: Rear: 5MP / Front: 2MP
3G UMTS quad-band (850/900/1900/2100)
8GB memory
256MB -1GB RAM (adjustable by developer)
A-GPS, NFC
Battery capacity: 1,800 mAh
Wi-fi: 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth, Micro USB
At the moment,iìm using my Alcatel OTF as main-daily-use phone,for twitter,mails,pictures,web-browsing,call&texting(+ Whatsapp),and i admit ,sometime he get me angry,but at least ,it's good,for a simple and daily use,but i recommend the 1.3 vers,1.4 it's buggy.
I know all about those new phones, It's kinda my job to know that.
Main reason why I'm not using as daily phone casue my main number is not in Telenor network (Thank God to that, they are most expensive here and yet give less free sms and minutes then other two) and in one shop they couldn't unlock it, whatever code they get it won't work, so I will wait little more and find new shop.
We already given up from Telenor relasing new version, believe me, they gonna relase 1.3 when 2.5 comes out. Mark my words.
I have a question about back up. Do I have to back up? Or can I simply root and then instal? I have no Idea hwo to back up image on Windows.

If you want a device that works in US you can always buy one of the ZTE Open or Open C from the ZTE_US ebay store.
The Open is pretty much the same as the Alcatel Touch Fire

Thank you for your guide-resume
I was trying to build the latest Firefox OS master branch, but unfortunately, due to some issues, I can't do it for now.
Unfortunately, the builds which the blog Simpliculitico gives are modified ones;
I'd like a clean pure one;
can someone send/upload an allready built and unmodified master image for One Touch Fire? I have no friends who can send me one
Thank you so much *
I tried to follow the instructions and got help on irc to create the custom kennel for that dammed phone.
Two weekends later and i failed every single time.
Never got even a half working one.
Also the one from the blog is far from perfect...
I wouldn't keep my hopes up.

I agree with you, that's why now i will make a guide to have Official OTA from mozilla.

At first let's begin with the ROM - download itself. There are different versions of those tablets, so choose wisely
I'll post only the Android 4.2.2 versions of the rooms, if you want, you can update them by yourself with the OTA. It is because at the moment you can root the JB - version more easily. (FRAMAROOT for 4.2.2 Jelly Bean versions only!!)
You have to register on this forum for download - permissions!!
Lenovo Yoga Tablet 8":
[ROM] Yoga 8 B6000_A422_000_059_131219_WW_WIFI
[ROM] B6000_A422_000_084_140310_WW_CALL

Lenovo Yoga Tablet 10":

[ROM] Yoga 10 B8000_A422_000_084_140310_WW_3GDATA
for download click on the green button on the top right side:
1. Drivers
Click to collapse
Now, whyle you are downloading the ROM, lets look at the drivers you'll need.
At first you need Lenovo USB Driver [from this site] version 1.00.11. 9,28mb
Next step youl need some other drivers and tools:
Driver for USB "download mode" [download it, unzip and place it on your desktop.
SP Flash Tool Driver Auto Installer [9,49mb] - works only with Windows ХР SP2, Windows Vista, Windows 7.
for installing unsigned drives on Windows 8, follow the guide below:
Get access to Startup Options: HOWTO - Method 2 is the easiest way for me
Once you are there (After a restart) you have to choose number 7 (Disable driver signature enforcement)
When you install unsigned driver after it, windows is allways asking you this:
- install this driver anyway
2. Install the ROM
Click to collapse
What do you need:
At least 30% of battery
All Driver from above and unzipped driwer for "Download mode"
time
Now let's begin.
Install the USB driver.
Unzip The ROM and put it on your desktop.
Turn off your device and unplug it from USB (if its pluged in).
for Windows 7/Windows Vista/Windows XP: Install the SP Flash Tool Driver Auto Installer from above and jump to step 7.
go to "Device Manager (link for short guide)
now when you are in your device manager it'll be a little bit tricky. When you NOW plug in your device (it have to be turned off), a new "unknown" device will appear. It will be there only for a few seconds, so you habe to be quick. RIGHT-Click on this unknown device and then go to "Update driver" in preferences. Then choose the driver you had downloaded and unzippt on your desktop. Thats it!
Now start the FlashTool.exe, (I think which you'll find in your unzipped ROM in the "Upgrade tool" folder. And plug in your device (micro USB)).
Click on "Scatter loading" (like on the image above). Then go to your ROM (you know, on your desktop) and in folder "target_bin" choose this file: "MT6577_Android_scatter_emmc.txt" (I am nbot shure if its the same name on all ROMs, but it has to be something with "scatter" in its name.
Click on "DA DL ALL WITH Cheksum" (without it, the device wont start after flashing and you have to flash all again) you'll see it on the pictures below:
The "FAC" - file will be propably not checked.
Just choose it in your ROM folder by yourself in target_bin folder:
Click on "Firmware -> Upgrade"
Then you'll see some pink lines loading. When the lines bekame yellow, you can skip the next step.
It can be, that after the pink lines the Flash Tool will stop and nothing will happen then. If it keeps for one minute you have to unplug your device for 30 seconds and than just plug in again. NOTHING ELSE!!!
When the green lines appears, just wait till its finished. You'll see it, when the green circle appears:
Unplug your device and restart. Don't panik, its multilingual and your language will be there (for shure), just click on the rigt chinese words in the first window which appears and scroll up.
After that you can easiely update your tablet to 4.4.2 with the OTA
Happy flashing =)
Easy Root your 4.4.2 KitKat ROM
HOWTO Root your 4.4.2 ROM:
At first you have to know, whats behind all the followigng steps.
It is not that easy to root this device with KitKat (at least at the moment).
At first you have to install an app, which uses a hack and pushs a file in /system.
next you start the installed app (which is in /system now) and with this app (Kinguser) you'll have Root rights
most users dont believe in chinese root apps. So you have to install an another Rootapp, the best is SuperSU (link ist below)
After you allow SuperSU the root rights, you can just uninstall the other two apps and enjoy the happiness of beeing rooted
Click to collapse
Now let's beginn:
1. Just download and install this file: Root_genious_General.apk
2. It will install a small tool, which can root your tablet. And it installs "Kinguser"
. It will ask you, to update your ROOT(1.0.23) to ROOT (1.1.33). It will be in chinese, just chose the right button and allow to update this tool.
3. A circle will appear with "ROOT" in it. "Push" the button and magic will happen (a progress bar) An yellow window will appear, in chinese, but you'll see, if it was a success then you'll see Kinguser installed on your device. (if it don't works for the first time, just try it again)
4. After that you need to reboot your device and download and install "SuperSU" from PlayStore.
5. Install SuperSU and then Kinguser will aks you, if you will allow SuperSU root rights. Chose "Yes" and now you have the rootrights. IF IT DOESN'T you have to reboot your device several times (don't know why, I needed several reboots and then it worked)
NOTE: I don't really know why, but it seems, like Kinguser do not recognize, that it has root permissions at the first time. I had to turn off the permission in Kinguser options, restart and give Kinguser the root permissions again, than restart again. Just play a little arround with whis option of Kinguser. Somehow it will work than. I had to do the game twice, and it worked both times. But really don't know why.
6. After that you need to update your binaries in SuperSU and reboot your device.
7. Then you can uninstall both chinese APPs (Kanguser can just be uninstalled with Titanium Backup) and you are rooted then

I am not really shure, but I think its the step 6, what caused the problem. The drivers have to be installed manually, when you are plug in your device. it's not enough to "put" them somewhere. try to do this step by step, like i tried to translate
You open your device manager, turn your device OFF, plug it then on USB and than watch, when they appears a new device. very quick (you have 1-3 seconds I think), rightclick on it and than go to "Propperties", or "options" (dont really know what there is in your language ). then "Update your drivers" and then choose the drivers manually. I hope it will help.

Good evening.
as far as i know it is always a good idea to take the same build number,as you have. it can brick your device, because it could always be, that there are differences in the hardwre and also the drivers, between the builds.

The buildnumer is B6000, and the only other important thing is the "wifi" at the end. So take just this one:
[ROM] Yoga 8 B6000_A422_000_059_131219_WW_WIFI
All the numbers between, are just patch-versions of your b6000 wifi Tablet

Universal ReadBack Extractor for mtk feature watchphones

Update Mar-12/2016: as long as on the market appeared a long line of new types of mtk6260 mtk6261 mtk2502C mtk2502A (etc) watches equipped with strange new PCB or flash_ID parameters, the new release <Readback Extractor mtk 2.0> now has the capacity to identify, to read, check, rebuild firmware and collect and insert in the .cfg files the flash_ID's coded inside the ROM dump for almost all types of mtk watchphones or smartwatches based on RTOS Nucleus
NOTE: being tested already for mtk6260 mtk6261 mtk2502C and mtk2502A
In short - if you intend to install in your smartwatch new firmwares, mods etc, before to initiate any flashing with the Flash Tool app (pushing that goddamn < Download > button) think twice, 'bove all better DO a backup for the original firmware, why so? because it's containing all original drivers hence you'll be able to recover 100% your watch in case of bricking.
How to:
First you have need of a full dump of your ROM. Assuming that you already got a Flash Tool 5.15.16 and drivers, and you were at the point of flashing something (already chose the download agent and scatter file)
preparations:
a. Set options/backup and restore on no action
b. load the download agent (you find this file inside the flash tool folder)
c. load a scatter firmware - for initialization flash tool needs a scatter file (.cfg) - for dz09 you get this one - for any other than mtk6260A get here and get a firmware compatible with your PCB
d. in case you have W10 - go to the start menu and click on power and hold down the shift key while clicking on restart. A screen then comes up and you need to choose troubleshooting and then startup options. It will then reboot and give you a menu. press 7 which is ignore signed drivers and then when windows comes up, you will be able to install the drivers.
for instance let's say you have a DZ09 smartwatch:
1 - press < Readback > in upper menu and so < Add > in the middle menu
2 - click twice on the item appears in the main window, set name as ROM_DZ choose in browser the path and save
3 - set as Physical start address 0x00000000 and as Length 0x01000000 or 0x00800000 or 00400000 (try them in this order) then ok
4 - turn off the watch, press < Readback > in the middle menu wait 2 seconds and connect through USB your watch
5 - wait until the upload is complete (big green ring)
Now second stage:
1 - download the app I've built attached here (Readback Extractor mtk) and unzip it
2 - create a folder where you intend to keep in safe the original firmware and name it for instance DZ09-Orig
3 - do a copy of Readback Extractor mtk 2.0.exe and place it inside the DZ09-Orig folder then click twice on it
4 - press <Load Readback file> and browse after the ROM_DZ file created before with the Flash Tool then open
5 - Wait about a minute while the app will check bit by bit the integrity of your file
6 - If everything went ok and your file is healthy then app will show " health 100% " so you can proceed to the next step
7 - Press <Rebuild Firmware> and wait about one minute (it shows a progress counter)
8 - When appears the message " - ALL DONE!!!" close app and go back in the DZ09-Orig folder, now you'll find there a set of new files which are the original firmware kit ready to be flashed back in your phone anytime you want
9 - Enjoy flashing anything you like without any fear that something bad can happen
Some tricks for writing IMEI in your watch NVRAM:
you connect to usb your watch (turned on this time) and set the com port on the watch screen, go in device manager and check the port number your watch is connected, then you open Tera Term hyperterminal (google for this app), connect it as serial com on watch com port and then give the command:
AT + EGMR = 1, 7, " imei number "
if on screen appears OK then ready, you've changed your imei
AFTERWARDS READ ME story - Anywhere you search, there is no one to tell you explicitly how to extract from your mtk smartwatch the firmware kit
All says a halfmouth: Do a full < Readback > in Flash Tool, you'll do it being confident that from now on you say goodbye to any risk because you have A BACKUP hence you start flashing new firmwares. And the Big Brick is coming , you smile and get back to your < Readback > backup discovering that, sadly, you have a binary bulk at first sight good for nothing. It cannot be so useless, isn't it? after all it contains full dump of your ROM! I was in exactly the same situation, so 'cause I didn't find any answer I've started reverse engineering . . . and it worked, first I did it manually for guys being in the same situation, 've noticed that is a common issue so I had to choose how to help, simpler but dangerous (for you) way, to create a tutorial <how to> or the hard way (hard for me), to develop an app which will do all "cooking" automatically and I choose the second because in manually way there is a quite big "chance" to mess up with your primary bootloader which could get to a real tragedy - no modem - brickest brick you saw in your entire life

Sorry man, couldn't earlier because I have mine either of two weeks or so. . . still a beginner
Look at the bright side, best lessons we learn from our own mistakes, best part is that if you buy the new one from the same seller, you'll have the firmware hence two working watches!

Unfortunately, yet, there is no way to get in contact with the watch else than through proprietary mediatek drivers so that the only ways to communicate for now are Flash Tool app and bluetooth modem proprietary commands (the most important of them being secret as well)
To do such a reverse engineering is way way way over my pay grade
Still I'm working for an app which could replace any media in the watch (backgrounds, icons) but through flashing method of course
Thanks for the info...I just think this watch have great potential

(Guided) LeTV LeEco Le 1 Pro (US Version) X800 TWRP Recovery, Root

The LeTV LeEco Le 1 Pro is an excellent phone that comes at a very low price. Some retailers are selling the phone for approx. £150. However, the phone does come with a few problems.
The phone comes bundled with an old YouTube app which refuses to update to the latest version. The phone has malware where apps are installed in the background and ads are served in the Chrome browser.
At the time of writing there was no official ROM available. Now a official ROM has been released. It can be found in this post. Installing the official ROM is the easiest way to fix the malware and app problems with the phone.
The TrustGo App from the Google Play store pointed out that the Ant Keyboard bundled app contained the malware. The YouTube problem can be fixed by uninstalling the bundled YouTube and installing the latest YouTube from the Google Play Store.
The phone had to be rooted to remove the YouTube and the malware app Ant Keyboard.
The following instructions will root the LeTV Le 1 Pro USA version only. However, rooting can brick your phone, so if you do go ahead it will be your responsiblity. Rooting also invalidates the warranty of the phone. You will also be able to unroot your phone at a later date and reinstate your warranty.
The following assumes that you are using Windows 10.
Rooting the LeTV Le 1 Pro USA Version
Install TWRP
TWRP will allow to root the phone. First it needs to be installed.
In order to install TWRP, you need to connect the phone to the PC
Lets prepare the PC before we connect it
Install Java JDK 8 using Chocolatey
Open an administrator command prompt
Type cmd in the search, right click Command Prompt and choose Run as administrator.
Copy and paste the following code into the administrative command prompt window to install chocolately
@powershell -NoProfile -ExecutionPolicy Bypass -Command "iex ((new-object net.webclient).DownloadString('https://chocolatey.org/install.ps1'))" && SET PATH=%PATH%;%ALLUSERSPROFILE%\chocolatey\bin
Install and configure JDK 8 by pasting the following code into the administrative command prompt window.choco install jdk8
Download, install and configure android studio using the defaults in the setup
Download Android Studio
Launch setup and accept the defaults
In the final screen select lanuch Android Studio and then finish
Choose the configure dropdown and then choose SDK manager
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
In the SDK manager, check the Google USB Driver from the SDK Tools tab and choose OK
android sdk manager google usb driver
Close the administrative command prompt and then open a new administrative command prompt and type adb. You should see the adb command returning help. This means that adb driver is installed and ready to go.
Download the latest version of TWRP onto the PC using this link
Rename the downloaded file to recovery.img
Now it is time to prepare the phone before we connect it to our already prepared PC. If your phone does not boot into android then you can skip the whole of this #4 section and move on to #5 (TWRP) section below.
Go to settings and then about on your phone. Unlock developer options by touching the build number several times.
Android : Settings -> About
Go to settings, developer options and enable USB debugging
http://i0.wp.com/showtop.info/wp-content/uploads/2016/07/Screenshot_2016-07-11-14-22-04.jpg?resize=900%2C1600[IMG/]
Android enable USB debugging
In the notification bar click on touch for USB options and ensure that MTP is selected
[IMG]http://i1.wp.com/showtop.info/wp-content/uploads/2016/07/Screenshot_2016-07-11-15-16-45.jpg?resize=900%2C1600
Android USB Options
Connect the phone to the PC
In an administrative prompt check the phone is connected correctly by typing
adb devices
You should see a device under adb devices
Download SuperSU and use the file manager to put in the root directory of the phone
Lets flash TWRP into the phone. You should not lose any data, but if you have data on the phone you should make a backup just in case.
We need to boot into fastboot. On the PC, open an administrative command prompt and type
adb reboot bootloader
If your device does not boot into android, you can go into fastboot by switching off your phone, hold the down volume key and then press the power button.
Once in fastboot you should see a small picture of a penguin in the middle of the screen. To check that the phone is connected, in the administrative command prompt type
fastboot devices
You should see your device listed
In the administrative command prompt make sure you are in the directory of the recovery.img file and type the following
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
Once the recovery is flashed type the following and hold the up volume key to restart in recovery
fastboot reboot
You should now be in TWRP. In TWRP there may be an option advanced or settings to install SuperSU. If the option is not there use install to install SuperSU (downloaded earlier) from the root of the phone storage.
Once installed you can reboot into android and following the instructions in the SuperSU app.
Once the installation is complete download the RootChecker app from the Google Play store and check if the device has been rooted.
Fixing the problems with YouTube and removing the malware
Install Easy Uninstaller, Stubborn Trojan Killer and Malwarebytes Anti-Virus from the Google Play Store.
Uninstall YouTube and Ant Keyboard. I uninstalled Cantonese Keyboard Language and Mii Browser as well as I was not using these. If you start getting errors, simply reboot your device.
Download and install the YouTube app from the Google Play Store.
Run the Stubborn Trojan Killer and remove any found trojans.
Run the Malwarebytes Anti-Virus and remove any found viruses. Run the privacy scanner and follow the recommendations.
Once you have successfully completed the above steps then your device should be malware free and completely usable.
Very nice job. Newbies friendly rooting guide. I think you must add another option in the poll : CM12.1 cooked by Betahydri. It's a fully functional ROM (only IR remote and DT2W don't work yet) for everyday use.

Hello, can you please explain how I can confirm my phone is the international version. I bought it from AliExpress on China.
Please also provide the links to the TWRP and the Super SU. Thanks

If you see CE0560 In the back of the phone, that means you have the international version.
For the TWRP, download Le1Pro_US_TWRP_3.0.2-0_CUOCO92.7z
For Root, download SuperSu-V2.76
Thank you very much. Mine does have that on the rear. This is my second le1 pro the first I hate bricked trying to root it and install recovery. So I have been scared to try this one without knowing which model it is. Do you know if there is a custom ROM or even better asop or CM room available for the international version.
Thanks for your help.

You can fix your first bricked phone from HERE.
To be honest, I have tried only two Roms
1- Clean Stock Rom, it's clean of all malwares and virus that came with the Chinese resellers Rom, its very stable, good battery life. only the double tape to wake up & color mod doesn't work, but easy to fix HERE, (IMPORTANT you need to have Stock recovery to flash the Clean Rom or to modify a file in the Zip archive of the Rom to work with TWRP).
2- CM12.1 ROM by BetaHydri, a great Rom very stable only Ir Blaster doesn't work for now. The best choice so far.
3- Other Roms CUOCO92 5.5.014S but I have never used it.
Thank you so much, worked a treat.
Now I have TWRP, CM and super su.
Thanks for all your efforts.
You should also try betahydri CM 12.1 I have it on my phone for about 3 months and runs great , no bugs , and the battery performance is the same.
Hi.
After brick I've rescued my letv le1 x800 Pro US and I flash Cuoco92 rom. I used this rom and it works very fine. XD XD
Maybe I am not looking well enough, but I did not see the TWRP link in your post.
Next to that I installed the Android Studio. But the SDK tabs in the SDK section are disabled with me. It also says that "Android SDK location should not contain whitespace, as this can cause problems with the NDK tool" as a warning. Could this be related to the fact that the tabs are disabled?
the only way to root this phone is by cuocco92 method, there is no other way

H1_Aladeng Smartwatch-Android 4G SIM, WiFi, 4GBROM, 512MBRAM, Micro-SD Slot, 1080mAH battery-Root?

Has anyone looked at the H1_Aladeng Smartwatch? Can root be achieved?
It is advertised mostly as kids smartwatch/tracker but the it's features are nearer to a full smartphone on wrist than most Android Smartwatches.
The Micro-SD slot and 1080mAH battery allows me to listen to music through bluetooth for about 5 hours straight.
And oh yes, I installed MX Player so I can sort the music/videos as I wish.
They say it is 32GB max for micro-SD card, but I have a 400GB installed and it reads fine. And some apps can be installed on SD card. The Sim card slot works so I can get texts, browse and stuff.
No it is not specialized in fitness tracking. Only footsteps counter.
Music sound quality over bluetooth improves after installing Noozxoid. However, If root can be found, I would install ViperXHiFi to increase music quality (I have been able to Magisk root and install ViperXHiFi on Microwear H5 4g Smartwatch which gave up the ghost a few weeks ago).

Hey. Thanks.
Yes I was able to access developers options and other many settings after installing QuickShortcutMaker.
After enabling developer options and usb debugging you I can also issue basic commands like "reboot to bootloader" (reboots to fastboot, usb driver must be installed otherwise device not detected).
Not sure what you mean by sclock, probably new to the term.

the smartwatch just boots normally as reboot.
adb reboot bootloader - brings it to fastboot
fastboot boot ANYRECOVERY.img just equal to reboot.
no any success to start Recovery via fastboot.
there is also not any firmware to research it.

Yea I dont see anything about SP9820e yet.
Also using the QuickShortcutMaker app, I can see a number of apps installed but hidden, gmail, fm radio...
The FM radio app launches and asks for earphone to be plugged in but does nothing when I plug in micro-usb earphones.
I was able to pull build.prop using ADB and I saw a line with FM radio mentioned, but commented out.
After editing build.prop, of course it would not allow me to push back to system, with Read Only error, because of no root.

looks that the only possible way to get root - to read firmware via SPD Flash tool, but there is no scatter file (partitioning of mmcblock*)
in default firmware all block devices available only to root, so is not even possible from console to grab in sectors begin-end of partitions.
Hi All,
For rooting this smartwatch: unfortunately in original firmware there is no any permission for block devices and it is impossible to read partitions size via linux (android).
there is also no any bin of firmware, besides written in flashmemory chip, there is no even dump of this chip
there is no any working recovery for SC9832E, that is possible to run temporally through fastboot boot Recovery.img. Default recovery shows "No command" - there is no known way how to bypass it. OEM is unlocked, there is only 1 button on smartwatch.
If someone could suggest smth or reference to any progress relevant to this device or at least to SC9832E based devices - that will be really great and many thanks in advance !

Do you think if the stock frimware can be obtained from manufacturer, the boot.img can be magisk patched then flashed to gain root?
If yes that would be a goot place to start. I cannot find the firmware/rom anywhere though.

There is a firmware, but there is no instruction on how to flash it, it does not have volume buttons
Finally there is the firmware. Great news! Now we need an enthusiastic modder to get the best out of this smartwatch. It would be great if this would work in a better way than it does now. I'd also like to keep the tracking stuff for my kid.
