Question Internet toggle - Nothing Phone 1

Hi! Is this the result of 1.1.7 update or have I always been able to on/off wifi and bluetooth with one click on little circle inside big circle in quick settings?

Must be the update, I noticed it too

Pretty sure it's the update yeah, I toggled my WiFi off yesterday by accident and pretty sure I'd never been able to do it before haha

Wifi and GPS turning on by itself

This happened to me twice today, and started today.
The problem is I see togglewifi in my notifications which means wifi is turning on and has not connected. Then i see GPS icon trying to get a lock on. The wifi eventually connects and after a while GPS icon is gone.
Note: this only started today and task manager only has these programs running at the time: Hello aim, Market, Messaging, Weatherbug, Wall calendar, ToggleWifi and Task manager.
PS. GPS is off for weatherbug and I remember updating Skymap, HadyCalc, and shopsavvy today. It is annoying because it will drop my AIM connection from transitioning 3g to wifi.
Anyone have a solution?
It is ShopSavvy. It installed a service with the latest update. Apparently you can go into the settings and turn it off, but I just removed it because it pissed me off that it would do this without warning.

Thanks, It seems it is shopsavvy and I disabled it. However I'm with you that it irritate me a bit that they would turn on wifi even though I am connected through 3g.
Ditto on shopsavvy, thats a very annoying "feature" they added. It took me a while to figure it out for myself as i had just rooted my phone and was installing all my apps over.
WOW!!!
I thought I was going crazy...thanks, I'll get rid of shopsavvy and hope they ditch the feature, seriously how often do I find myself using the program in an area where it can get a gps fix anyways?
good find
i've been wondering about the wifi turning itself on, too.
thanks.
I been having the same problem thank god i found this post cause its been getting to me and i have been wondering if its effect the battery life. Well will disabling my location in shopsavvy fix this problems?
Yes, just be sure to reboot the phone once you have disabled it. I believe the developer posted on another forum that you need a reboot to get it to stop.
i noticed this too a while ago

I was wondering what had happened. Just recently rooted and was hoping that it was not something pertaining to that.
BTW... I am new to the forum...
The plethora of information available as well as the minds associated with XDA is unreal! Thank you all for your insight!

Problem with WiFi

Hi, every time I turn off my WiFi connection, it turns itself on throughout the day. This way it drains out my battery really fast and clearly I don't like it, since I hardly ever use WiFi on my phone...
Anyone an idea? I might have overlooked some settings I just should have ticked, on or off.
Cheers

Do you have any automatic updates set up for example weather, stock, emails etc?
I'm running Titanium on 6.5, energy rom. I think you're talking about tf3d, or? How shall I do it?
I turned off the setting in the weather menu, 'download weather automatically'. Is that the option you were talking about.
Somebody please shine a light, since this kinda sucks ;'-)
edit: On top of the screen there's an icon with a G on it, sometimes it turns in a red wifi icon...Thought I should mention.
edit 2: And WiFi was just turned on again, magically. Argh!

Yes, this is what I was talking about. But you should also have a similar option for stocks (not sure about titanium as I don't use it), email and possible QuickGPS application if you use it.
Basically it sounds like something or some app is activating your wifi to come on as you have it setup to update automatically

GPRS connectivity disappeared?

I installed Extended controls and im sure it was around this sort of time it happened, but i looked up and see that the G symbol ive had for the passes 3-4 days had disappeared, i thought this wasa good thing and result of a button to switch data off, but can only find GPS button and switching that doesnt effect anything on the screen
obviously without this i cant get online on my phone so any quick help would be appreciated!
Extended controls does have an option to make a switch for that, try making a switch widget for data connection and then flip it?

data connection, ok thanks. i restarted phone and got it enabled back. Where in the standard options and settings for android is this located then? pretty good feature to save power when i dont want my phone checking or updating itself?
EDIT:
this button on extended controls doesnt work for me, and enabling it loses my internet connectivity and i cant get it back on, fail.
After restart this time my G symbol came back, and then disappeared ?

(SOLVED, DUH!) What happened to my GPS?

So my searches on this have turned up nothing similar. Forgive me if this has been covered somewhere.
Device: Epic 4g running Syndicate 1.02 Standard
Problem: GPS won't even turn on now.
Background: GPS was working normally (albeit badly, as we all know) until yesterday. Was able to toggle on and off.
Now: Toggle switch in pull-down lights up as if activating GPS but no familiar toggle sound. Wifi, BT, and 4g toggles still functioning and making the sound. When I go to Location Settings to activate, still no GPS. Toggle switch does light up if GPS activated from settings.
What I've tried: Not having any idea what could have caused this, I figured I'd just make a Titanium backup and use Odin to go back to DI18 using whosdaman's .tar. That should do the trick, right? WRONG! So then I figured, ok let's just go back to square 1 and used Odin to go back to DG27, same as the day I bought it. Still nothing!!!
Did I somehow truly brick the GPS?
Thanks in advance for any help with this.

AFAIK there never has been an audible confirmation at the notification bar when the GPS radio is toggled on or off. That's certainly the way my stock Epic running DI18 works.
What makes you think the GPS radio is not working? Have you tried a utility such as GPS Test? Very likely your GPS radio is functioning, and you are just being bitten by the failure-to-lock GPS bug that afflicts all Epics over time when the GPS cache data gets hosed.

Ok, well I guess I didn't notice it specifically. At least I know that is normal now.

I'm not even getting the "looking for lock" icon in the notification bar. Nothing happens at all. I'll try downloading a GPS Test though, didn't think about that thanks.

That pulsating icon only appears when some app actually starts the GPS. Just enabling the GPS toggle does not start it.
Wow I feel dumb. See I was using the google maps widget yesterday and was driving to a friends house and it wasn't using my gps location even with GPS turned on. Was only using the network.
I got so focused on getting "no response" from enabling and disabling the GPS that I failed to realize that the google map widget may not actually use GPS! It didn't occur to my retardedness to try using an app that I KNEW used GPS!!!!
Thanks boomer for helping me pull my head out of my arse!

Wifi will not reaquire home network and Bluetooth LE does not appear to work on Pie

I have searched here and other forums a bit with no real luck finding a real answer.
Before Pie I believe my PH-1 was working fine. Since updating to Pie it seems if I leave the house the phone will not automatically reconnect to my home network. I have played with a number of setting recommended with Wifi, Location and Battery with no luck.
From what I have picked up Pie can be problematic, not sure if these issues are being worked on in the background?
I also think there may be an issue with WIfi distance, but have not confirmed this 100% yet.
I have a Bluetooth LE interface that I recall working before Pie, but it does not appear that the phone can find the Bluetooth LE interface now.
Any help, suggestions or solutions would be appreciated.

When in doubt... A factory reset gets everyone on the same page...
If not... Delete the /sdcard/Android/ directory and wipe data in TWRP and see if that fixes it
Just wanted to update this thread that I ended up resetting phone to factory defaults and the Wifi connection issues seem to have been resolved. Now if I can find out why the charging LED indicator is no longer working. Seems after a brief search this may be an issue with Android Pie/9?

LED works for me. Did you turn it on? I think it's in display or notification settings
The charging LED worked fine before the Pie/9 update. If there is a place for changing/setting this feature I have looked and looked and cannot find it.
I believe I found it in earlier Android versions but for the life of me, I cannot find a setting.
Anyone have some suggestions?
Not sure why I was not able to find the Battery Charge setting. It was probably because it was at the top of the screen and I must of have started to scroll down immediately.
Access your Settings Menu
Select Apps & Notifications
Select Notifications
Turn on Battery Charging Light
