Hi, I have recently purchased and installed a Android headunit from this seller: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/100..._list.0.0.30e679d2JBVDmT&gatewayAdapt=glo2nld. Everything works well, except for the sleep mode. It seems that the headunit does not go to sleep went the car is turned off. I have seen videos about a sleep mode setting which i can't find in the settings. Where would this setting be or does this headunit not consume much power when the car is turned off? I cant find it either in the factory settings tab or the "other" settings tab.
After a long search I have found the solution, its in factory settings > engineer test debugging > password is 26959910 then direct shutdown mode has to be selected.
I was going to update to that new firmware, but if there is no sleep settings yet I will stay on 1.70. Radio is working fine at this time.

Hi
I have an HTC Desire HD
I have changed a setting somewhere (i remember doing it) which switches off wifi when the screen times out. I did it on purpose at the time thinking it would come on again when the screen was unlocked. Wrong!
The problem is I now can't find or remember the exact setting I changed!
Could be powersaving, wifi, screen lock or any other non-obvious setting!
I have tried everything I can think off. At the moment, everytime the screen goes off, so does wifi. Very annoying
I would really appreciate any help
Mark
I wasn't aware there was an option for this is froyo! Unless you're referring to the WiFi sleep policy? Try menu > advanced when in WiFi settings but I think this only allows you to determine the time out period, not the condition (ie the screen going off)... however, there are apps that will allow you to do this. Are you sure you haven't installed something that's causing this?
Go to wifi and press menu. Its under advanced settings.
Hi
Thanks for your tips. Found it!!
It wasn't in the Wifi, or screenlock settings (I had looked at everything on those!!)
I remembered that had installed the Battery Booster app and then messed with the Battery Teak settings to turn off wifi on screenlock
Actually a handy app, if you set it up properly, which I hadn't!!
Thanks once again for the prompt
Mark
don't forget after change setting hit menu button again to save the change lol

Last week I went into settings and found a setting that turns WiFi off when the phone goes to sleep. I turned it on.
I now want to turn this function off but I cannot find the setting. I looked through every setting and I just cannot find it.
Can anyone help me with this?
Thanks.

So I found that some Android HU made in 2021 have the Factory Settings removed / locked. You cant get to the F.S from the System Info screen. So far I have not found a work around to this. As I understand it some of the Factory Settings were moved to other menus.
If you have a Fast boot with a MCU RL78C NCHHWY and Framework PX6-userdebug 9 PQ2A then you may have issues with Fast-Boot. This is what I found out. You do not need to root.
In Settings / User Settings (Old menu called Car Settings are gone!) Find Sleep Time: 8H 16H 24H 64H OR 1H 6H so on... Select 24H. Then find a setting called Sleep mode Off or On. Make sure it is "ON". Save and reboot. Give the unit 3 or 5 minutes for all settings to load again and save. You may need to Reboot again. Don't change the Sleep settings again for at least 2 reboots so that will have time to save.
That should fix the Fast-Boot issue. It should remember most settings like Play Audio and Volume. If not, and you find another way to fix Fast-Boot let me know, please.
Note: If you find that your HU reboots in a loop after 8 hours of sitting, unused, then your HU may have issues with Fast-Booting. You may try turning off allow background apps, hope that helps.

Hi, I'm running a rooted stock Oreo (version 8.0.0) and I've just discovered that when I turn flight mode on, if I then turn wifi on, I get the pop-up message "In flight mode" and the wifi icon in Quick Settings stays a light blue shade but Wifi doesn't actually turn on.
I may be mistaken but I thought this was working last year and I haven't done any updates to the phone.
Anyone have any ideas how to fix this?
Kind regards,
Mack.
Hi, I'm pretty sure you can use this:
SystemUI Tuner - Apps on Google Play
PLEASE READ ENTIRE DESCRIPTION BEFORE INSTALLING
play.google.com
One of the settings allows you to tune Airplane Mode.
Just to update - I think there must have been some kind of data corruption... I did a factory reset and it all worked correctly again.
