Here's the patched boot.img for OnePlus 8T Android 13 KB2005_11_F.13 and F.15
Bootloader must be unlocked
(Have the img on your PC)
Instructions:
1: Reboot to bootloader "adb reboot bootloader"
2: Run CMD "fastboot flash boot" ~name of img~
Profit!
You're now rooted.
I've also attached the stock boot.img just in case anyone wants it.

I highly doubt there'll be another OTA until next month. Check with the developer of the unofficial orange fox recovery, he'll most likely release a new version for A13. If not, I'll pull the boot.img and patch it again and post it here.

Lol don't tell me you've bricked it!!! You can probably flash the stock boot.img and that might fix it. Otherwise you'll have to use the msm tool to reflash the firmware.

Well if you're worried about bricking it then before you start making modifications, be sure to have the latest msm for it on your PC, and also take a full backup using Orange Fox recovery, and also have the stock boot.img on your PC. And if anything goes wrong just flash the stock boot.img. And if that doesn't fix it then restore the backup, and if that still doesn't work then you'll have to do a complete restore using a msm tool

If it's Android 13 11_F.13 then yes. But Orange Fox has a working recovery for A13 on our phone. So you can always flash Magisk that way if you want

You did flash unmodified boot.img before trying to update? Well, honestly idk why it won't install. Maybe you should try a different method of installing the update, like manually installing it

It's really simple. If you flashed TWRP to your phone via the fastboot method, it's almost the same procedure to get it back. You just need to get the recovery images for the Honor 7x (since there's none available for the Mate SE. They're pretty much identical, though).

When you get to the step where it has you flash the recovery image, you gotta do it a little differently
"fastboot flash recovery recovery.img"
then
"fastboot flash recovery2 recovery2.img"
make sure they're both in the same folder and that you open up a cmd prompt in that folder (shift + right click, then "open command prompt here"

Ok successfully removed twrp and stock recovery is there..... I have tried to enter Huawei erecovery to download latest version and recovery but i get this error after its connected to the wifi, getting package info from server..... Getting package info failed? How do I update the phone?
That's because there's no stock ROMs on the Huawei server for the BND-L24. You have to be a little bit patient for the release.
Sidenote: If you are willing to assist. Can you do myself and a few others on this forum a favour by kindly doing a full backup of your L24 and share for the benefit of us who bricked ours. Would greatly appreciate it

So this week i hadn't time enough to install the august update since my phone is rooted so i decided to do it now. What i did before trying to download the update :
1.Deleted all magisk modules that i had then rebooted
2.Unistalled magisk using restore image then rebooted
3.Went to sys update downloaded and it says installation failed
What do to? I'm not rooted now and i don't have twrp installed.
PS. don't want to install it via fastboot/miflash

I have a T-Mobile device, which I converted to Global and finally installed a custom ROM. For any updates, I have to follow the same route - go back to T-Mobile, then global and then any other ROM. Can I use this utility to go back directly to Global from custom or would I still need to first flash T-Mobile ROM?

Thanks -- I didn't notice it was an executable. I think I'm ready to go, but just checking. Here's what I've done so far with my T-Mobile version OnePlus 8:
1. completed process to unlock the bootloader (unlocked phone, got token, applied token)
2. set up fastboot in a directory on my Windows PC
3. ran the self-extraction on OnePlus8Oxygen_15.E.35_OTA_0350_all_2103221815-FASTBOOT
Now I'm going to run flash-all.bat. Before I do that, do I need to back up any files, e.g. modem files? Thanks!

+ Stock recovery image of IN2105-F15 ( in case )
+ Modded recovery image of IN2105-F15 with ADB Enabled, Allow-mock-location and Debuggable are both enabled.
How :
Just simply flashing the images u want using fastboot command.

About the OTA update without lossing root, just don't reboot when System update finished its job and ask to reboot. Instead, Open Magisk, disable all modules, then choose to install to Inactive Slot. After finish, reboot like normal and u'll still have root!

About the OTA update without lossing root, just don't reboot when System update finished its job and ask to reboot. Instead, Open Magisk, disable all modules, then choose to install to Inactive Slot. After finish, reboot like normal and u'll still have root!

Well the problem is that If I try to install update it won´t install when I´m rooted. Always saying error and only thing that helps is to flash stock boot.

When flash non-stock images into stock firmware, we'll have to disable AVB ( Android verified boot ) by flashing vbmeta image ( fastboot --disable-verity --disable-verification flash vbmeta vbmeta.img ) ( OOS13 on 1+ devices may need to flash vbmeta_system too )

Well. I don't quite understand how to use oxygen updater to update since when I download incremental in oxygenupdater and try to install it through OPocalupdate it fails after like 20% installing same like if i try to install it through classic updater. In oxygenupdater it recommends to switch to full but when you switch to full it doesn't show incrementals, just big system updates like from OOS12.1 to OOS13.

So you do it in this order: Go to magisk and select flash to inactive slot -> do OTA update through OPlocalupdate app -> restart phone? Does it have any effect to select flashing magisk to inactive slot before I start OTA udpate? Because it seems like the incremental OTA udpates can install only on unrooted phone with Stock boot.img if I leave it rooted it always stops due to error.
I'd like to begin with a little backstory, it consists of me unrooting the phone via magisk android app and re-flashing the bootloader with a non patched .img of the same version. Afterwards I've decided to lock the bootloader, and that's where the problem struck me.
I've tried all unbricking methods I could find, I can't flash product.img as well as odm.img. I tried switching partitions and re-doing the process, however, nothing works...
I came to a conclusion that the only way for me to fix it was the EDL Unbricking tool, however I cannot put the phone into it. I used the replacement fastboot.exe from the forum as well as a separate EDL Reboot v2 .cmd script but the phone just reboots to the bootloader.
P.S: I have re-flashed the super partition multiple times, flashed boot.img and vector_boot.img in order to enter recovery. But, ironically enough, the recovery mode was even more helpless than I am.
These are the methods I've tried:

ah, I didn't know this was possible. Can you tell on what version you were when the problem happened and what versions have you tried flashing so far?

I was on patched 1.5.3, I tried flashing the stock 1.5.3 and thats when the problem happened. After that I tried re-flashing each and every image using 1.1.7, since its the latest Global Full OTA which isnt incremental and can be disassembled using the payload dumper
