Hi,
Can someone please pm me if you can or have recommendation to someone/service that can unlock my bootloader from android 10. Techmesto does not appear to be responding.
Even I’m trying to do the same. Were you able to unlock your phone's bootloader?
Hi,
Yes techmesto replied approximately a week later and finally connected with them. It took maybe 20 minutes for them to unlock it. Phone has been working great since. Will strongly recommend /e/ os. The os runs smooth and everything just works well.

Did they do it for free or charge something? Also, /e/os on Nokia 6.1 plus?
I’m planning to get Lineage OS instead because i want my banking apps to work too.
Yes it was a small fee like 10$ I can't remember exactly how much. /e/ os has microg implemented and you can use banking apps too. They work fine for me anyway...

I just tried to use my banking apps for the first time on my brand new OnePlus 5. It's completely stock still, not rooted or anything. I have 2 banks and both of their banking apps fail to load. Also Android pay fails to work, tells me I need a network connection when I already have one. I confirmed my banking apps are still working on my HTC one m9 but I no longer have the s8 or s6 I use to use Android pay with. I tried searching on here and didn't see anyone else having these issues. Any ideas?
Is your bootloader perhaps unlocked?
Unless oneplus sends them out that way from the factory, no. But I haven't actually checked.
Did you give the apps the correct permissions?
I had the same issue with one of my Banking apps, fully stock with locked bootloader, and when opening the app it sent me to a website page stating that my software was modified.
My solution was to unlock bootloader, install TWRP, root and use banking on my laptop

I guess my solution is going to be to carry my old HTC around and tether off the OnePlus when I need to check my account balance. I sure hope they fix this soon.
Have you tried Magisk hide? Every app i've tried has been spot on with that, work email, snapchat, everything really, don't use banking apps on my phone so couldn't say for sure.
I got an update last night, plus I went into app permissions and gave them every permission possible. Still no go. It says the app has encountered an unexpected problem after it tries for maybe 15 seconds to load.
Snapchat works fine. I haven't tried magisk. I wasn't going to bother rooting this phone because I like it as is.
Android Pay and my bank apps work fine on my stock, locked bootloader OP5. I'm in the US.
Seems peculiar Android Pay fails. Have you tried hard resetting?
I cleared data and uninstalled all 3 apps and I got both banking apps to work on the second try. Android pay kept telling me I needed a data connection which I already had. I realized NFC wasn't turned on so I turned that on and then it seemed to get past that part but it tells me my card isn't supported so I need to look into that with my bank.
Not sure why it didn't work the first time. It seems like I've had to reboot this phone for weird glitches a lot more than I did on my old s6. Hopefully that doesn't continue.
Update: they stopped working again. They seem to work once and then the next time you to try to log in it fails every time. Glad I still have an old HTC one m8 I can bank with. Lol. I'm not doing Android pay on a phone without a finger print sensor though.

You're stock and they're not working? Weird.
Do you have to de-authorise the banking apps to use them on another phone? My back accounts app requires that
I don't believe so. I traded the s6 on the s8 and they worked fine right away on both of those ones when I first got them. Plus I've used them interchangeably on my main phone and my backup HTC m9 quite a bit. I reinstalled them on the m9 when the OnePlus failed to work and that's how I've been getting by.
I have been having an issue with Venmo. It won't let me verify the device, this has been happening since I got the device. Now I am unlocked/rooted with Magisk hiding, and it's still not letting me verify. So strange.

Figured out my issue. I had an adblock enabled and it wouldn't let it send the code because of that. Disabled and all is well.:good::good:
I am in the UK. My OP5 is completely stock. I have Lloyds, Nationwide and Barclaycard banking apps installed and working plus Android Pay. So, it should work OK.
I am running version .8 of the OS
Alan
I believe I was on 4.5.10 before the update and now it's 4.5.11. So maybe they broke it with the .10 update? I really don't see anything else I could have done to make it not work. I've never had a problem before even on rooted phones.
OP curious what does your android pay do that it doesn't work?
Does it open or when you pay it doesn't work
I haven't tried it at a terminal yet, but I believe it's ready to work. I switched banks and my new debit card isn't compatible with Android pay even though I was lead to believe it did.
I added my one credit card and my old debit card and they seem to be ready to go now.
So my issue now is only with the banking apps, not Android pay.
My snapchat (lest safetynet) won't work at all. Tried different roms.....
Hello,
this question might seem somewhat stupid. I've run into serious bugs on my 3 year old Note 4, they come and go, sometimes they appear many times a week and sometimes not for several months in a row. I have insurance, which ends mid-July. I wanted to send it in over a week ago, but after I've read the terms, I thought that it would be hard to get something from them, since the bug doesn't appear every day. Since I moved the SIM card to another phone over a week ago, the Note worked perfectly. Before it would from time to time refuse to call, tell me that some system app had crashed and reboot. After reboot I'm unable to call again (no signal) and have to turn it off and on again, for it to work. Couple of times it froze completely (had to remove the battery) and some months ago I had WiFi problems (connected, but no data transmission) a couple of times.
I think that it's a hardware problem, but I doubt they would wait for weeks for a bug to appear and I want to rule out software problems first. I want to try "the best possible" ROM (I know, it's in the eye of the beholder). I took a look on the threads about LineageOS 15.1/14.1, 14.1 is called stable, but there are pretty much the same bugs mentioned. I need:
- Perfectly working cameras, phone calls (is it important that I have two numbers (normal and "landline") on the same card?), mobile Internet, WiFi, SD-card support, preferably docking station support (the 5in1-one, OTG, HDMI, SD and whatnot. I would like the S-Pen to work, if not to its full potential, then at least "somewhat". PlayStore/GApps (?) are important. I don't need Fingerprint sensor, NFC, Bluetooth. Though it would be nice if all the builtin sensors would work, since I might get to install FL Studio Mobile/IL Remote on it eventually or play some games (very unlikely).
- Ability to record calls automatically would be nice (I know, GDPR, but whatever)
- The most important thing is that it's as stable, as possible
It would be awesome if I could test the new FirmWare in DualBoot. I have a 32GB microSD card.
I'm not an idiot, but lately I'm seriously lacking free time and concentration skills (I don't feel my best mentally). I don't feel able to go through all the Firmware topics (LineageOS 14+15 alone are 1000 pages long), I would ask very kindly if someone could suggest a suiting Firmware and give me a link to a hopefully straightforward flashing how-to with all the latest download links. I would forever be in your debt. Especially if you could also give me a link on "how to get into that" (migration/getting started). I want to be done on Tuesday, if possible, so I'd have 2+ weeks to test everything as thoroughly, as possible.
I don't know anything about customizing one's phones, except for what's possible out-of-the box and with 3rd-party-apps. But I'm a fast learner. I understand English, German and Russian.

Hi
[Joke] The perfect ROM is the one YOU build  [/Joke]
As you speak English, German and Russian (too bad I'm French  ) I'll assume you live in Europe and you own a N910F.
To get all sensors working (heart rate included) you need stock: one just got out on Sam Mobile with updated BL and modem (DRD1) and April 2018 security update.
You also may consider Alexander's last built.
LOS 15.1 is pretty good as daily driver but I don't think it meets your needs (especially about sensors...), I've been using it for few months.
Can't help about any other custom ROM but in any cases you won't have all sensors on any of them.
You can use SPen Command for the stylus.
I hope this help...

Edit: you own a 910F! The title told me :silly:
IMHO you'd better keep on full stock (or close to) here is a link for Alexander's https://forum.xda-developers.com/no...se-multi-csc-safe-bloat-t3033881/post58925494
Dual boot is a hard work on N910F (never been able to get it work flawlessly :crying: )

With "all sensors" I meant accelerometer, gyroscope and whatever else is used in games and music software. I don't need heart rate/o2/UV sensors, etc.
I see that there was a German update in February, which I didn't receive (maybe it's for Vodafone-BRANDED devices? I have DQ(I/J/A)1 installed, latest update came on January 1st, I believe) and the latest one is indeed the DRD1 for UK. Does EE stand for the British mobile network operator? Will the firmware work the same in Germany or what would differ? WIll OTA continue to work?
I'm already downloading, the best (first) thing to try would be the original firmware, of course. I just thought, Samsung gave up on that model.
One question:
Add each file to it's respective field in Odin v3.13.1. Use CSC_OXM if you want to do a clean flash and HOME_CSC OXM if you want to keep your apps and data.

Is "keeping apps and data" possible/"advisable" in my case? I want to keep everything, but if another firmware "branch" could install with new bugs, maybe it should be installed cleanly.
---
As for Alexander's stuff link - I took a quick look and it's all Chinese to me  If I'll keep having problems with UK firmware, maybe, I'll take another look on that or LOS 15.1/14.1.
Did you have any problems with LOS? Camera problems are mentioned in bugs (maybe would work fine with a different app?), GPS problems (didn't understand that exactly, "doesn't fix satellites"???). I'd like to have up-to-date Android without Samsung's bloatware, but mostly I'd like a STABLE system.
P.S. Oh, yeah, one more question - what do you mean with "updated BL"?
P.P.S. Will flashing the UK firmware "void my warranty" (I don't have warranty anymore, but will the insurance company see, that I flashed a different firmware? KNOX counter or whatnot. (I called my "meta-insurer" (a proxy company) today and asked if I'm allowed to flash a custom ROM, he said, he's not 100% sure, but thinks, I'm not. I would have to ask the actual insurance company tomorrow or re-read the policy, which I might do later.))?
Hi
My feelings are you're not used to mess with your phone , so you better (for now) stick with official firmware. (No Knox trouble or whatever its Samsung's firmware)
IMHO the best for you is to install the last full stock ( did you already download it?) and follow this tutorial step by step https://samsung-firmware.org/download/GALAXY__Note4__/o2ll/EVR/N910FXXU1DRD1/N910FEVR1DRD1/
You should keep your data and still be able to use your phone in Germany.
If you still have issues you should backup every things you can't afford to loose. Because the repair techs will obviously delete all your data (even if they don't fix anything )
In any cases, with you want to go for a custom ROM, I'll give you an help for it.

Didja reboot it?
Hello.Ex Pocophone owner here. I switched to essential four days ago and I'm loving this device. My problem is that when I'm playing my favourite game - Mobile legends and moving the joystick sometimes is doesn't recognize my finger and lets joystick out so I'm standing like a fool in middle battleground. Screen starts to feel rough when sliding finger across it. If anyone else had a same issue and knows a fix please let me know. Thanks.
If you are using stock - flash this kernel - https://forum.xda-developers.com/es...el-elementalx-ph1-1-00-android-7-1-1-t3736061
P.S. I use MSM Xtended + this kernel and have zero issues with touch (but little worsе battery life)
P.P.S. You can also try this Magisk module - https://forum.xda-developers.com/essential-phone/themes/mata-tochfix-t3916652
v7_Taimen works fine for me on Havoc OS

Same issue here, mobile legend and PUBG mobile, get that issue on Pie and Q Beta 3
Is there any fix without root?

Hello and thank you for the answer. However, I'm on stock firmware but not rooted. I got this device few days ago brand new and my bootloader isn't even unlocked tho I've seen videos of how to looks like it is hard. I'm on latest pie update.

Hi, I'm new in the Wear os world and I bought my first one a month ago. When I try to copy my account on the smartwatch, is a Fossil gen 4, the app show up this message:We couldn't copy your accounts. I search online but nothing then I try work, so I connect to my friend smartphone and work perfectly, now the only difference is that: I have unlocked my bootloader and use a custom rom and he no. Is this the problem?

I see no one else has chimed in, but guess you may have found an answer elsewhere by now. I can only speak of my experience which is very little, but I just got a Foodie gen 5 Carlyle and use it daily with my bootloader unlocked/rooted OnePlus 6t. I had no problems initially setting it up, though for some reason that escapes me now I had to wipe it and reset it up again within the first couple of days. It does take a little time going through all the setup process though, maybe 15-20 minutes. I'm not on a custom rom though just rooted/modded oxygen os, so that could be the problem though I would think it should be fine. Hope this helps.
I'll chime in. I had the same exact problem and the issue is the phone. I have a OnePlus 6T, unlocked, rooted, and flashed with the xXx custom ROM. I had to disable the rom's module in magisk to be able to copy my Account info onto the watch. So yes, ultimately, it was the phone's problem. Not the watch.
