[GAME]Bantumi Diamond (Old Nokia 3310 Game)

My second game for Windows Mobile!!!

This is a remake of an old Nokia 3310 Game that I used to play all the time.
Good old days!
Explanation of the way the game is played:

This game is made for 2 people to play against each other.
I might add a singleplayer if I have the time to!
Since everyone has their own rules for this game I will write them down real short:
When ending your "seeding" in a empty hole on the opponent's side you will capture a point.
When you end up in your own main hole you get an extra turn.
The opponent's main hole will not be skipped while "seeding"
There I hope I explained it well enough.
Any suggestions or bugs reports are more than welcome!

Seconded. Since that 3D dice app was cancelled (I was working on the graphics for that) this could be a fun project to take on. Give me a day and I can whip up something that's at least on par with the above screenshot - I'll try to make it look better .

Not everyone knows how to create apps like the one you showed us from the screenshot.
I appreciate your honesty, but I started giving C# a shot 2 weeks ago.
And I haven't ever made a 3d/graphical application before.
Also I'm not following a ICT/"Programming" education yet, have to wait 1 and a half years for that.
If someone could give me a push in the right direction, that would be appreciated.
***I think I have an idea to spice it up, give me some time.

I'd use a ImageButton with transparency set to true,
this should also help you "catch" the clicks
But IMHO I think it is better to complete the the coding prior to the cosmetics, I'd rather see a fully functional game which doesn't look that nice then a not working game which looks great.
with fully functional I meant including a single player version...
because that is the real challenge

I choose to do the design first as that's what people mainly wanted.
After that I'll do my best to get the singleplayer working.

Maybe, but it can also be used in other development languages,
I use Basic4PPC to develop and there the control has already been created

My first post said mostly text-based. My view on that is like whenever you find an item, I want the item to be visible.
When you see a monster, I'd like that monster to be visible, I'm not asking for 3d. I want a not too heavy game, there's no need for having an environment with a character that you can walk with.
It's not that I prefer this, but I think that this makes the game compatible with every single windows mobile device on the planet. Also you can play the game when you're in the waiting room waiting for the doctor without having to make the game load and make it feel like they can jump right in.
It will be a Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing game, all players are connected to the server, the server decides what happens.
I will use the same "internet engine (lol)" as I created when I made dRemote.
This can go really big.
I'm sending each and everyone of you a PM.

I can help with the script (history and such) if you would have me. I can also draw a little, so please let me know. This is such an appealing project!!!

That's what I'd love to see as well, but I'm not the kind of guy that has that much time on his hands to make it 2d and stuff.
Text-based can be fun like those criminal browser games and SlaveHack.
As long as you have challenging gameplay it'll be awesome.

What do you guys think about basing it on an existing story like Lord of the Rings?

That would be cool, since there are different clases and everything is pretty much mapped out. We have the light side and the dark side very well balanced, and since it would be text based, we can focus on a good story for each side. The question would be where in time do we place our story, since we need really strong objectives for each side to complete. My particular choice would be at the age of the Silmarillion, since it has stronger and much more expectacular beings, (Sauron was a mere servant back then) and it is a much less explored age.

I've seen the movies but it was a while ago so I'm not very familiar with it atm.
My idea is:
Make the game very very long, the objective is to bring the ring somewhere and destroy it (can't really remember where they destroyed it )
Just make endless quests that are still interesting and challenging for newbies and pros. Then once the ring is destroyed, the game will start over and hopefully we can reinvent the game by then with new quests. They can then choose a different class, this way the game won't be boring quickly.

What about making the battles similar to the FF's ones?

Hey guys, I just wanted to show the difference without the flash on, and with the flash on at night, from a distance. I read in some online reviews that the flash wasn't powerful, and admittedly, the flash doesn't make the second shot a "good" shot, but I think it goes a long way to show how far it can project, and thus its potential.
I personally didn't expect it to reach that far, and even brighten the picture up as much as it did.

How many year was the Redbreast? I am a bit of a whiskey aficionado. If you haven't tried the 18y/o Redbreast give it a go, has a very unique citrus like flavor, and is great for sipping with a meal.

The 12y/o is a bit spicey, is better IMO (and as your pic seems to show) on the rocks. Actually, 12y/o's across the boards seem to like being served on the rocks. If you are much of a whiskey fan, check out Jamesno Gold Reserve, $60 a bottle, one of the tastiest affordable whiskey's I have ever had, and has a really complex flavor so drinking it never seems to get old.

What is swagger?

I've seen swagger as a toggle in a number of AOKP ROMs, but I haven't seen it do anything. I searched through forums and haven't seen an answer, so I pose the question here: Wtf is swagger and what is it supposed to do besides confuse noobs like myself?

A while back Aokp added it to their Rom as a joke basically it doesnt do nothing if u enable it in toggles just hold it in the ON position and u will get a message on your screen that's it.

There's too much ****ty music out today. I don't have a favorite genre.
I like a little of everything. I listen to rap, hip hop, pop, rock, screamo, hardcore, post-hardcore, progressive, dubstep, chillstep, DnB, ambient, country, classical...that's just some of it.
Basically, all the mainstream stuff and the new wannabes suck.
Lil Wayne = TRASH, and Drake is getting close as well...
Nicki Minaj...she's so bad. Like literally bad, not the good bad. And how do people think she's attractive? She's so damn fake.
And what's up with 2chainz? I just recently heard of him, but if there's white kids online singing and quoting his songs on XBL and PSN, especially my really country and borderline redneck friends, he's going down fast.
Skrillex and that deadmau5 dude or whatever his name is = that is the reason why people hate that type of music, its not music, its noise. Noise that makes my ears bleed. Bassnectar has been crap too from what I've heard so far.
I don't know much about country, but there's some ****ty songs there too.
And wtf is wrong with John Mayer? He must've hit his head really hard before he released that latest album.
And screamo and that other hardcore guitar shredding crap. Basically, if i have to freaking look up the lyric and there's no real rhythm/pattern to the "song" then it ain't worth listening to.

You think a light hearted injection of humour is "trolling"? It never ceases to amaze me how so many people turn into simple-minded robots when they're on forums - if a situation arrives which their minds cannot compute or sense the subtlety of, they feel the need to HAVE to categorise the person who made the comment, by pidgeon-holing that person into an extremely simplistic, black or white "box"... such as calling me a "troll", because I was having a laugh.
You are just too miserable to understand humour, it would seem, like most other internet nerds who just want to talk in binary black and white, like the machines they mess about with all day long. Yeah - I am also a geek, but LIGHTEN UP - haven't you got any sense of humour AT ALL?
