Question [CLOSED]Various issues - Nothing Phone 1

A) Am using genuine nothing charger 45W for my Nothing One smartphone. But it takes more than 1 hrs to charge my phone to 50 %, whereas company promises 70% charge in 30 mins. Also more than 2 hrs to charge fully.
B) Heating issues observed while using phone, not while charging.
C) Not able to connect WIFI hotspot to laptops, but able to connect to smartphones.
That's all so far
Any suggestions for this?

for that I'd changed the prefix from "Development" to "Question" as it didn't qualify for the first one.

Forums Need Sorting!!!

One thing wrong with the SGS forums is, the Development forum needs a massive sort out, its getting out of hand, too many questions and users moaning, not enough Development talk, there are forums for questions, and for errors in roms! so come on Mods!!!!
Won't happen
There are not enough moderators, or willingness to enforce forum rules in i9000 section on XDA
So there you have it. I9000 will always be a mess, especially for a dev.
For example there is a 500 page cm thread in dev section, which contains only a handful bug reports. When clearly the OP requested bug reports and dev discussion only.
There is nothing to gain knowledge in these threads since theyre a huge mess. And always will be.

It's just a fact that anything that becomes public knowledge and popular eventually goes straight down the drain on terms of user quality.
Enough people are stupid, lazy, and arrogant enough to destroy anything they want without even knowing it.

Hi,
As far as I can tell, there isn't any questions on a least the first page of development. Unless of course you mean inside each development thread. In which I ask that you report a specific post or a specific post a couple pages back. I will clean at least the last few pages.

Just saw this thread and thought I'd pop in.
We are, and will always be, willing to enforce the rules on each individual forum we are assigned. However because of the sheer number of posts that are posted per day on XDA we cannot proactively moderate each individual post.
We do proactively moderate to a certain degree by for instance moving all question threads from general to Q&A but even then we don't read the threads, often we just glance at the thread title and popup of the first post before deciding if it needs moving or not.
To which end that is why the report button is there, you users report stuff that needs moderator attention to us and we deal with it.
Yes we are understaffed - currently only 4 of the moderators in the Samsung International Moderation Team are active and we have every non US/Canadian Samsung forum to moderate. All other teams have 7-8 active moderators.
However, I'd much rather see 100 reports per day from this forum than no reports and users griping and saying we're not doing enough or not willing to enforce the rules.

Jonny

Elephone's customer support is worse than thought

Elephone's customer support is low-quality. Everybody already knew. But it's worse than that!
I've posted some questions and issues in a thread addressed to one of the moderators on the Elephone forum, but without given any answers this is the system message I received on my account on that forum:
您已被 chan1o 禁止发言,期限:90天(0:代表永久禁言),禁言理由:Continuously posting same topic links in every post and irritating so much.
Here's what really happened: When moderator chan1o challenged me as if there are no issues or problems with P9000, I compiled a list of links for him with unsolved questions and issues from the forum. Without getting back with explanations, moderator chan1o went on posting advertising threads on the forum. So I posted him a reminder with a link to my post in the hope to draw his attention and to get him back to do, what Elephone customers expect him to do.
In total I have send one post on one of his threads, and two links to that post in other threads.
We all knew that Elephone customer support is bad and that the company cares more about earning money from unknowing customers, than to show any appreciation for their buyers. Blocking me from the forum because he didn't liked my post is the last thing I'd expect a moderator to do.
http://bbs.elephone.hk/?90419
I have send the following to the Elephone forum Admin on [email protected] and on the Elephone forum http://bbs.elephone.hk/forum.php?mod=viewthread&tid=13315&fromuid=92084
Edit 29/3: above linked got removed. here it is now: http://bbs.elephone.hk/forum.php?mod=viewthread&tid=13319&fromuid=90419
I have a formal complaint against moderator chan1o.
Moderator chan1o is only posting advertisement threads and he does not give customer support. When users write about issues or problems with their Elephone product, he only replies with meaningless comments.
When moderator chan1o challenged me as if there are no issues or problems with P9000, I compiled a list of links for him with unsolved questions and issues collected from the forum. Without getting back with explanations, moderator chan1o went on posting advertising threads on the forum. In my opinion moderator chan1o misapplies the forum rules by banning my account farsiray. http://bbs.elephone.hk/?90419
My opinion with reference to the forum rules: http://bbs.elephone.hk/thread-10138-1-1.html
Rule 5.5.6 I have left only 2 repeated links to only 1 post. That cannot be interpreted as flooding the forum.
Rule 6.2 Moderator chan1o did not give three warnings.
Conclusion: chan1o did not have the right to move my account to the Read Only group.
Dear Administrator, Please deal with this matter.
I'm looking forward that the ban on my account will be removed so I can carry on having communication with other P9000 users on the Forum where we help each other.
Thank you.
also have a look at this post on the Elephone forum, where a Moderator assaulted a forum member

I think we all know any Chinese brand manufacturer are generally always pretty bad at after care support. In-fact when ever I buy a handset from a Chinese based manufacturer, i take on board if anything goes wrong I know its usually a pointless exercise taking it up with the Chinese company concerned and usually take the matter up with the retailer I bought it from (assuming its within a sensible period that is)
Without a shadow of a doubt Elephone are extremely bad when it comes to service. It is shockingly abysmal.
Anyone who doubts this should really visit their "support forum" and I can assure you, it wont take you long to realize what Elephone is really all about. They dont listen to their customers, they dont help their customers and whats worse they have a forum admin that has even verbally abused a customer via PM (assuming ofcourse, the customer who posted this was indeed speaking the truth)
One thing they seem to be really good though is marketing & selling their devices, particularly on their "support forum" where mods/admins are always eager & enthusiastic to appear to post the latest/greatest Elephone device/accessory. Its just a pity they dont show the same eagerness to post anything when someone needs support or help.
Anyway good to hear they lifted the ban on your account and as I repeat what I posted on Elephone forum - dont buy their products, advise others to do the same and move on ;0)

However, I've removed the link from your opening post. Please review the XDA Forum Rules that I partially quote below:
5. Create a thread topic or post a message only once, this includes external links & streaming media.
As a large forum, we don't need unnecessary clutter. You're free to edit your message as you like, so if you do not receive an answer, revisit your message and see if you can describe your problem better. Not everyone is online at the same time so it might take a while before you receive an answer.
You can bump your unanswered question once every 24 hours
Duplicate threads and posts will be removed
Always post in an existing thread if a topic already exists, before creating a new thread.

11. Don’t post with the intention of selling something.
Don’t use XDA to advertise your product or service. Proprietors of for-pay products or services, may use XDA to get feedback, provide beta access, or a free version of their product for XDA users and to offer support, but not to post with the intention of selling. This includes promoting sites similar / substantially similar to XDA-Developers.com.
Do not post press releases, announcements, links to trial software or commercial services, unless you’re posting an exclusive release for XDA-Developers.com.
Encouraging members to participate in forum activities on other phone related sites is prohibited.
Off-site downloads are permitted if the site is non-commercial and does not require registration.
Off-site downloads from sites requiring registration are NOT encouraged but may be permitted if both of the following conditions are met:
A) The site belongs to a member of XDA-Developers with at least 1500 posts and 2 years membership, who actively maintains an XDA-Developers support thread(s) / posts, related to the download.
B) The site is a relatively small, personal website without commercial advertising / links (i.e. not a competitor forum-based site with purposes and aims similar to those of XDA-Developers.com.)

Last but not least and just to mention if you eventually intend to publish a ROM on XDA. In accordance the XDA's policy regarding the GPL you will be required to provide a link to your kernel source. Please be aware that XDA enforces this mandatory requirement.
I hope a vivid and fruitful discussion develops in this thread - and as you said without any questions about ETA's - that supports you in the progress of your ROM development. Do not hesitate to report any "ETA posts" (best via the report function), and we're happy to remove those from the thread on your behalf.
