Question Fast charge issues with 1.1.4 - Nothing Phone 1

Does anyone else has fast charging issues since 1.1.4 update?
got my Nothing Phone just a few days ago. First time charged it with about 22W.
Then I've installed the 1.1.4 update and the next times the phone was charging it never went above 11-12W (but still showing as charging rapidly in the lock screen).
Tried multiple chargers (anker 45W and Asus 65W) and different cables that support 100W as well but it doesn't go above 11-12W anymore

It depend of the Battery pourcent.
0/1% > 25% (MAX) - 26% > 60% (More slow) - 61% > 89% (More slow) - 90% > 100% (Very more slow)
It's for enhance the battery life, on each device.
For my part i using the official cable and the official charger NP1 (45W)

If your screen is awake then the charging speed will be limite between 11w to 15w. Once you turn off the screen it will jump back to 22-24w. Everytime you awake the screen it will fall back to 50% speed by it self. I have noticed same behaviour in pixel 6pro as well. Probably to maintain thermals.

I've done the measurement now mutliple times while the screen was off. When I started charging, the phone was cooled down and battery was between 10-20% (and charged up to ~80%).
The whole time It's not going above 12W.
Is here anyone who can confirm his/her Nothing Phone(1) is charging above 12W since the last upgrade to 1.1.4? If yes, which charger are you using?
/edit: got the solution. Bought a Spigen PD 3.0 charger. This one is charging my phone with up tp 28W.
The other chargers I've used have only been supporting PD 2.0.
Strange that fast charging with PD 2.0 was removed during an earlier update

[Q] Charging Nexus 10...

I`m represantate 4pda thread of Nexus 10. Lots of people experience troubles with charging our Nexus (including me).
Using native charger in turned off tablet it gave only 50% in 8 hours (in my way)
Others say approximately the same.
I have root, unlocked boot, use Gravity Box (xposed). (It would be normal if my case were sporadic, but...)
Do you know any solve of situation?
I am also experiencing this lately. I'm not sure if it's from the kitkat update or not, but same story here, I leave my tablet charge overnight and when I get up it's at 75% after at least 7 hours of charge. I tried stock kernel, thunderkat and ktmanta, didn't solve the problem.
I've ordered and waiting for N10. I was going to immediately unlock, flash stock 4.4 then root and apply Kernel
I've also ordered a Pogo cable as owners seem to get a faster charge, also to reduce wear on the microusb. I assumed I would be using the supplied microusb PSU?
I've had a N7 for 17 months and on it if I was using it, even with 2Amp PSU, it would often just hold its charge, so not gain charge, when used, I'd have to leave it screen-off to charge. So with N10, you've got experience even when OFF (powered off, not just screen blank) it isn't charging? That sounds weird. If however, it is simply screen off, then go to your battery and see which app is keeping your power consumption up and do something about that app surely???
I noticed it immediately with the micro USB cable and stock charger I have been using since I got mine (just after release). Usually 1100-1700 mA charging. I noticed the minute I updated to 4.4 that my charging averaged 600-800 mA on the USB. After an 8 hour charge it was like 46 percent. It really scared me, thought my tablet was going. I tried switching cables/chargers. Stayed the same.
I switched to the stock wall wart and the pogo plug and it jumped right back to 1700-1800mA till 80 percent charge and then starts dropping. Something it had never done with the pogo. I had to search drawers to find the pogo since I had given up on it's poor performance. It has always been about or less than 1000mA, which is why I always used the usb charger. It seems to be much faster charging now, but only with the pogo. USB barely seems to provide enough power to maintain the charge!
That was the first day on 4.4 manual update, haven't checked since that minor update to krt16s to see if it changed. The pogo seems to be quicker than any charging was.
Yeah my problem also appeared arround the kitkat update.

Finicky charging?

So we've been combatting some finicky charging issues with my wife's new S5 for the past week.
I've worked out a lot of the weirdness due to the fact that my HTC M8's charging brick apparently doesn't work with anything other than the M8 (I have no idea yet what is different about it... 1.5A).
Anyway, despite this we have had no issues using the supplied charger/cable (only used it on first day).
We haven't had any issues using an old Droid 2 charger and cable (1.0 A I think)...although likely it was a slow charge.
But, since we've been out of town for a few days without all our cables, the only think that has worked with NO issue is using a 2.1A output power brick to recharge the phone. Also, it seems that the 2.1A iPad charger worked as well.
What is weird is we also tried 2 identical 1A iPhone charges. Upon first plugin with a 10' 24/28AWG cable, it didn't charge. I removed it and plugged it into the other one and it began charging. I then removed it and plugged it back in the first and it started to charge fine (and yes, I tripled check the connection on the first try).
In short, we seem to just have very strange results. Sometimes it will say it is charging for a few seconds and then stop and sometimes it will not charge using a certain combination, but when you unplug it, try something else, then back to the first it will work!
We've also had issues with the charger in the car where it would keep blinking her phone on and off with a sound. I suspect that this was due to a slow charge bringing the phone to full charge, then dropping (even though plugged in), then going back to full again. But this is just based on what my wife described.
Can anyone explain and/or tell me what the minimum required and the recommended specifications are for a charger/cable on this phone?

Slow charge with original charger

Hello,
i'm new here and i'd be glad if someone can help me. So i got my phone a month ago and i noticed that while its charging (with the original charger) and while using it in the same time it almost does not charge at all, still when it's not used it does actually fast charge. As a previous samsung user, i never had this issue with samsung phones (they always fast charged even on heavy use).
That's one problem, the second one is scrolling isn't smooth. Yet my internet speed is 1GB at home although i don't see it related, overall scrolling let's say for example Facebook, snapchat, browser, it gets slow at few times and it ain't smooth like i expected it to be.
My device isn't even rooted so i haven't messed with it anyhow, running usual diagnostics and clearing apps regularly, downloaded just few social media apps so no heavy games on the phone but still i can't figure out if it's just my phone or is it the lg g6 like that.
thank you
1st i wanted to mention maybe the problem is your outlet in house but, yes G6 is charging slower when you use it on your charger.. And when it comes to fast charging to mine it tooks 1h and 40min from 0-100% bit slower than competiton models, but again fast enough.
When it comes on smoothness i am on V10T EU update and the phone has no laggs at all. It did had on past versions. But with this V10T i hadn't had any smoothness issue.. It really is great, and for playing with the phone while charging i wouldn't recommend that. It can really take effect on your battery.
Powered by LG G6
The scrolling lag sounds like there might be something making the phone work hard. Heavy usage would also make it charge more slowly than expected, because some of that power is going to operate the phone rather than into the battery. BUT I don't think it would prevent the "fast charging" text on the display.
It is remarkable how badly-behaved apps can be - I'd remove/disable your apps one at a time and see if one of them is responsible.
Try a fully compliant aftermarket quick charge 3.0 charger, it should charge much faster. Unlike a QC 3.0 charger, the charger bundled with the phone does not include 12V charging mode, so it's not allowing the phone to charge as fast as the phone can handle (the phone is fully quick charge 3.0 compliant and can charge faster than the bundled charger is capable of doing).

Yup, that's true. BUT I have s7 and g6 and both are slowly charging when I'm using them, phone would get too hot if it would fast charge while using it
I appreciate all your replies guys. Thank you.
Although i noted i dont have any heavy apps or heavy usage, the scrolling lag seems like a lag to me because i got used to faster phones before. Or maybe it is the original cable i need to change as you guys said. Anyway thanks again
I also encountered slow charging problems, but it seemed to be the cable, in some position it worked and in some it did not. I've bought an one plus dash cable for about 10 $, red one, and no problems since then. The cable is more thicker and robust, I highly recommend it.
Hi, I've got this problem: sometimes when I plug my G6 to the charger, a popup message comes out saying:
Charging slowly
Try the following if charging is slow:
- make sure to completely remove any water or debris from the USB ports.
- reconnect both ends of the cable.
- use the charger and cable that came with the phone.
Sometimes, instead, the phone starts charging normally with fast charging. If that popup comes out and I try to unplug and plug USB cable a couple of times, the phone starts charging again with fast charge.
Sometimes, when the phone is already charging with fast charge, suddenly the phone stops charging for a couple of seconds and starts again (I notice it because of the popup sound that comes if you plug the phone to USB)
I even tried to clean USB port, swapped the original USB cable with Anker cable but still using the original LG charger.
Of course there is no water in the port, otherwise a moist detector message would appear.
Has anyone experienced this problem? Can I solve buying a new charger? I'm afraid USB port might be broken

I did it recently after I upgraded to Oreo but this was happening even before I did reset the phone.

Yeah i found that funny that LG lied and tried to get by on using the chargers from the failed lg G5 shipped with the G6. They only support 2.0 charging so just use the cord and use another 3.0 block or get a portable 3.0 power pack. They are 20 bucks on amazon. Good ones too.

can this be a good charger?
I bought an used G6 without charger but I have a Pixel charger model GL0102 and when I plug the phone I cant see the fast charging notification on the screen. It only say charging.

Charging slowly after update on Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1

So my sister just bought this phone recently (The 3/32 Model) and she Immedietly got an update and so she updates the phone, she then plays it for a while and then charges the phone, but weirdly enough it's always saying "charging slowly" in the lockscreen, doesn't the stock charger suppose to charge the phone rapidly? I really don't get this. The phone was charging really slow and the weirder thing is I used my Lenovo P2's charger which has the same configurations as the stock charger (I think) and it did charge faster than the stock one. I've done things such as closing the recent apps, putting it on airplane mode, turning it off, but it still charges slowly
Is it the stock charger that doesn't charge the phone rapidly?
Or is it because the update?
I really don't understand
Any help would be appreciated
It is the update problem, I am also facing the slow charging issue.
Lenovo p2 is 24 watt charger , Zenfone is 10 watt charger .... It take 3 hours for my phone to charge with stock charger
SOLVED
I tried to close the recent apps and turn on the airplane mode and it's now charging rapidly after about a minute, thank god.
I think I had this problem before because of where I plug in my charger to a wrong socket.
Im still having the charging slowly problem.
Change the charging/data cable. I had the same problem.. I tried optimizing apps, aeroplane mode and switched off phone while charging phone but nothing worked. It took around 6 hrs to fully charge my asus Max pro m1. And then one of my friend suggested me to change the charging cable. I bought a new cable n it solved my phone's charging problem. Now my phone charges rapidly even when I'm playing game while using LTE mode. so guys try different charging cable with the original charger.
And if u want better battery backup.. do not charge your phone 100%. If you fully charge your phone.. battery will drain faster.

V20 Declining Charge Rate

Rooted H910, running de-bloated stock image
Last week, while reading news sites in a lobby, my phone got extremely hot. Also, battery percentage dropped like a rock - like from 70% to 35% in less than 10 minutes.
I shut the phone down, pulled the battery, and allowed to cool.
On reboot, I went through the Apps list, and Force Stopped everything - even disabling Chrome.
When plugged into my travel charger (QC 3.0), the phone reported that it was "charging slowly - use the charger and cable provided with the phone".
Charge rate was agonizingly slow. May 2% in 10 minutes.
Later, I tried the QC 3.0 in my vehicle, and still later I tried the other QC chargers and Fast chargers I have at my house.
In all cases, it reported it was charging slowly.
It was, however, still charging - albeit very slowly.
I dug out my factory LG charger and cable. Same result.
In fact with the phone off, it reports the factory charger and cable are incompatible with the phone.
[see image 1]
I swapped my battery to another LG V20 phone. The battery charged normally in the other phone.
My phone still charged slowly with the other battery.
Over the weekend, I tried Clearing Cache / Dalvic.
On reboot from that, it would no longer charge. It still reported charging slowly, but battery percent would drop while plugged in.
Per this thread, I tried Doing Port / Battery / Charge Tests.
[see images 2 & 3]
No improvement. Battery level still declines while plugged in.
If I start with a fully charged battery, battery usage appears normal.
Anything other suggestions to try before calling LG?
