Looking for the original OxygenOS 11 - OnePlus 8 Pro Questions & Answers

Hey Folks,
first of all, I hope this thread is in the right place.
If not, I apologize for that and move it where it belongs to, please.
Then I must say that I'm very disappointed from Oxygen/Oppo OS 12!
From the official Community Forum of OnePlus I had download the downgrade version of OxygenOS 11.
Well, I'm afraid they have released a "tricky" version of that OS.
I'm sorry I can't explain it better. But the downgrade version is not the OS I had before...
So, I'm looking for the original and not any other version of
Oxygen OS 11 for my OnePlus 8 Pro (EU IN2023)!
I hope I could express myself.
Excuse me my english is not as good as it is supposed to be...
Cheers

You can use MSM, 11.0.4.4, and uptade grom official to 11.0.11.11 and sray this official version.

Trank you!
Unfortunately I do not now what you mean with MSM 11.0.4.4?
I’m sorry, but can you explain this, please.

Thank you very much.
I will try it in a couple of days...and report then.

Again, thank you very very much!!!
After many many tries to get in the EDL mode, I finaly did it.
Now, it installs the 11.0.11.11 version.
Well, now I must figure it out to switch off the automatic download and install of updates, jet.
Specially the notification of updates I don't want to see ever again ;-))
Thank you !!!!!!!!!!!

You can either disable the system updater via command:
DISABLE :
pm disable -k --user 0 com.oneplus.opbackup
RESTORE :
cmd package install-existing --user 0 com.oneplus.opbackup
Many (root) apps can disable the system update too, like SD Maid, Titanium Backup or 3C Toolbox. Or you can install a Windows app like ADB AppControl which does it quite nicely too, even in the free version. Just disable it though, don't uninstall it ... great for disabling/deleting bloatware too btw.
Glad you got your device back up + running

ROM by Cuoco92: multilanguage, debloated, prerooted, GApps preinstalled

This thread is now obsolete, please refer to the thread by Cuoco92 here:

Hi All,
There is a multilanguage, debloated ROM available for our phone that is a much better starting point than flashing the Chinese ROM and debloating it manually. It is based on 5.6.014S release. It comes with Google Apps, SuperSU, Adblock, System app remover and a few other features preinstalled. It also offers OTA updates (one just arrived today). I have been testing it for a past few days and can wholeheartedly recommend it!
Just flash the ZIP through TWRP:
https://www.androidfilehost.com/?w=files&flid=57909
Note that installing Xposed framework from official thread will prevent GUI to start.
Here's a compatible version (79) that someone made. Didn't test much so YMMV, but GravityBox seems to work fine:

It is based on 5.6.014S release (I updated the original post). But it seems to me that it is more of a series rather than a one shot release. The guy has been maintaining it for multiple LeEco devices and providing updates for some time. Can't find much about it in English though.

To learn how to install TWRP check @STEVE_MARS'es guide here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/le-max-2/development/twrp-root-14s-rom-x820-t3382221
Just note that you don't have to bother putting SuperSU/GApps on the phone and flashing it as they are integrated in the the ROM.
Important: flash the most recent TWRP, e.g. download it from @STEVE_MARS'es blog: http://forum.xda-developers.com/le-max-2/development/twrp-3-0-2-source-based-off-t3388695
(it is by default in Chinese, but possible to change language to English)
Sooooooo. If I am on the latest official 14s Version and blocked everything with titanium Backup... And everything is fine with my rom... Why would I change to this? Is there Basic Apps included like calls, SMS, contacts,?

Like I said, it's a better starting point for those who are flashing new ROM. Otherwise it looks and works the same as official 14s. I really like the approach though. The modifications are very light and unobtrusive. You will just see some added menus in the settings, like Dolby Atmos support (not that I care for it). But it clearly gets some love from the author. You get OTA updates with a clear changelog and new features. Yesterday's update added multi-user support and fingerprint-based app unlocking and a spell checker. Probably it's mostly a matter of unlocking MM features that were disabled by LeEco. But it's great someone is tinkering with it!
On official i could install xposed and grafitybox, but on cuoco it comes an error after booting. System Interface error.
Sent from my Le X820 using XDA Free mobile app
Has this ROM german language integrated? The settings complete in german?
yes 99%
Tix very nice make you more Updates
pls Include the Exposed Framework
This Rom is awesome, everything works fine, I have already received 3 OTA Updates, German since last update (today) 100%.
I'm happy with this Rom on this great Phone !!!!!!!!
Is it possible to remove GAPPS? I want to install the Pico Opengapps package.
Sadly, whenever I freeze the Google app (used for google now), the phone doesn't boot anymore.
I just installed this rom, work great, thanks. May I ask where you get the OTA update? Is there a place you can manually check in the setting? Or the OTA just pop on notification?
I flashed this ROM and it worked good. And the playstore force closure stopped. But there is a lot of languages but no Swedish language. Is that fixable? Is it possible to flash just the language?

It's the app that called "Updates" I think. But I got my Olas popped up in notification bar..
The "Update" app disappear after I got the third OTA, Is that the same problem to you? Maybe the "update" app only appear when there is a OTA?
Could someone explain? Thanks
On my phone it's where it was after V28 update. Pretty sure it's supposed to remain visible as it has a GUI in which you check and download updates manually.

Confirmed. Fortunately, someone released Xposed v79 compatible with this ROM. I tested on V28 and it seems to work.

Hi everyone, as only a few versions of unbrick tool are available here and that they allow to rollback to specific versions of Oxygen OS I decided to search for more and succeeded in that.
As the instructions and Qualcomm drivers are already available here, I don't feel a need to rewrite them.
You can ask questions here on how to use and issues, however I might not be able to answer immediately.

@Some_Random_Username how much time does it take to flash 9.0.4?
Mine is taking more than 10 min - its stuck at param preprocessing.

step 2. reboot pc.
step 3. connect oneplus device in edl mode.

Unfortunately no as I do not know any other provider hosting for free such an amount of files (I have same thread for OP3/5/5T/6/6T/7/7 Pro).
You could however select the mirror the more near to your location when downloading via AFH to get a faster download speed.

I tried it again from another server and this time it downloaded at 9MBPS! I got the file!
Thanks a load for sharing all these files! The normal "unbrick your phone" by flashing Android 6 wasn't working for me. From your link I was able to download the file for Android 8 (Oxygen 5.0.3). And it worked! My phone got unbricked finally!
A note to everyone: For whomever the earlier unbrick step doesn't work, you need to try downloading some other Oxygen OS (different Android version than the one you tried earlier).
I'm going to make a post in the main "unbrick" thread and let other people know about this. Once again, thanks a lot for posting these files and saving my phone!

Well, not to be pessimistic but firstly OnePlus would need to deliver one last update for this device as November is when they should drop support as per their software maintenance schedule thread https://forums.oneplus.com/threads/oneplus-software-maintenance-schedule.862347/ .
No, I didn't repack it for Pie by myself, I just managed to get it from OnePlus.

Wanting to install another Rom

Please excuse this very long post.
On my Pro 5 I am stuck on Flyme 6.3.0.0G and I am having an issue with a streaming app supplied by Dazn. No video appears; Dazn say this is because it needs a more up-to-date Android, but there is no official room available. I have been looking at the Resurrection Remix option but I am worried about bricking the device.
My principal worry is about (1) root and (2) the bootloader.
I obtained root long ago using the standard Meizu supplied system, but since then the option to unroot has disappeared. The phone is, effectively, rooted. How should I handle the business of the bootloader to get TWRP? Also, how can I backup my entire current official Rom in case something goes wrong.
Again, please excuse such a long post.

Not for me, it's still Lollipop based.
Sure, would like to use the android 7 rom.
Could you share how you installed the google apps and how did you get them running properly? I still have issues with account management and in genereal many google apps (maps, chrome) do not run well.
Also I have memory issues so that when writing e.g. the keyboard crashes and even chrome itself crashes regularly. My guess was some memory issue that leads to ending apps.
---------- Post added at 07:22 PM ---------- Previous post was at 06:40 PM ----------
When I want to sign in with chrome e.g. I always get the message "this account already exists on your device".
Did anyone else had this problem and knew how to fix it?

Very simple man. I've got NO ISSUES AT ALL, simply:
* full wipe ( Dalvik / Cache / Data / System ) with TWRP
* flashing with TWRP the Flyme 7 rom
* flashing with TWRP the Open Gapps, Pico Version, 64 Bit

7.2.0.0 is fully bugged and not for french. => http://forum.flymeos.com/forum-28-1.html
Flyme 7.2.0.0 goes very badly.Back to 6.3.0.0G. What custom rom for Pro 5 do you use ?
I've rarely used my Meizu Pro 5 in these last months but I'm using 7.2.0.0 since January without problems.

Brother, this is a daily version means it is not beta or stable. Yes, stable will be released on dec. No i don't got the file because i registered before. It's directly from developers. You should understand that meizu p6p is 2016 flagship. We got 2 android updates back. And we can't expect a Meizu to give more than that. Also most new phones from meizu will not get base updates.Pointing out the factor that flyme 8 is built with google material design and android 10 frameworks. You will feel the difference from your use. I already told you if you are not registered before, you need to do adb. And update files for registered users will be only 40MB. I posted this big file link got from community just for you all. Mainly for those who forget to register and want to try before what is coming.

OOS12 looks better but everything else is better in OOS11.
But OOS12 is not as bad as you describe. Maybe your phone is on an beta of OOS12. You might wanna check your software version.
I guess you bought a used phone, because im pretty sure the OP8Pro gets shipped with Android 10.
I would go for a fresh start and rollback to OOS11 using MSM Tool.
