Hello all,
I recently got a Fire HD 10 11th Gen and already used the toolkit to debloat and install Gapps etc.
Unfortunately I made the mistake and srt up my SD card as adoptable / extended internal storage and now have some files/data and apps on the external, which I want to move back to the internal.
On Pc I cannot access to the SD card at all and only see the internal storage (32gb)
Is there a way to revert the adoptable / expanded internal storage without loosing any file from the SD card?

Hi.
I recently installed Slim-5.1.1.build.2.2-csolanol-20151210 on my Amazon Fire 5th gen.
It's working well, except for one thing: i can't move apps to the SD card external storage.
I know that internal storage space is necessary, to keep the tablet working fine, but i installed an app that occupies nearly 4gb (with data). I erased the app's data to lower it to <1gb but then i cannot move it to the 16gb SD.
Any help on how to workaround it?
i updated to 2.3, and still have the problem with moving apps to the external SD card.
i'm still given the "can't move to SD card, there's not enough storage space"....... with 14gb of available space
Hello everyone, I would like to extend my internal storage. I am using Android M on my XT1562.
I tried to use my SD card has an internal storage but unfortunately it stops formatting at 30%. After a reboot the SD card is shown as internal storage but if I open ES file explorer for example the storage capacity is still 10gb (which is the capacity of the internal storage). So I will have to use it as an external storage as before.
Is there any option to change for example the download folder/the install folder for new apps to the external SD card? Or do I need to root the phone?
Another question is if I could use my SD card as internal storage how about transferring files to my PC? How does that work?

Once you format your SD card as internal storage, it can not be seen in any file manager. Also it cannot be seen on pc. Although you can move data through settings which shows your internal and SD card storage but you can only view it through by going to settings.
You cannot the change the location of apps to be installed in Android 6.0

Once you have set the SD card to internal any apps that you install that could previously be moved to the SD card will install to the SD card, any apps that could not be previously install to the SD card will install on the internal memory.
Does lg g6 supports sd card in exfat format or is it just fat 32, and does it have flex/adoptable storage?
It definitely supports adoptable storage. There's an app you can run from a pc connected to your phone to format an sd card into adoptable and standard partitions. My 128gb card has a 24gb adoptable partition, with the rest formatted as standard external SD. The adoptable segment is used for app storage on my phone (I have a bunch of apps that I like to have, but don't use that often, a good fit for adoptable storage).

Hi, i use that app, but i cant move obb files or any app with data files to sd adoptable storage. So i only can move apps without data to sd? If i choose sd like default storage then i can have obb files into my sd but i can't install apps into internal memory and thats a problem..

Samsung Galaxy Tab A SM -T550, 8 inch, 16 GB storage, Android Marshmallow.
Any way I can install programs to a sd card instead ?
Thank you.
I have found a partial solution.
I cannot directly install apps to my sd card, but I can move the installed apps to my sd card.
The method to move/transfer installed apps to sd card is from this link :

In these boards there is a patch to enable adoptable storage for Marshmallow, on the other hand if you are rooted and you partition your SD card to have two primary partitions (fat&ext2/4) than you can use an app similar to Apps2sd for those needs as well, which I do on my tablet, that is not Marshmallow, otherwise I would use the adoptable storage patch. Just look around in the boards.
Edit; here's the link for the adoptable storage patch

The adaptable storage method works on rooted, stock Nougat as well. Just got my tablet with 7.0 already on it and was able to get it done.
Kindle Fire 10 HD: FireOS 7.3.2.6: original storage 16GB
I have successfully formatted a 32GB card as internal storage and moved apps and files to the card. This was done because the system files for Kindle OS + Google play services take up about 6GB themselves and with the files and app combined the table did not have room to perform updates.
The problem (???) is my wife's tablet now has an unsupported sd error that occurs every time the device boots or reboots.
Settings/Storage lists 2 storage entries (1) Internal Storage: 7.62 of 26.47GB and (2) Storage Device: Unsupported. I think the unsupported storage is the original internal memory that was disabled during the formatting of the 32GB card.
Can I suppress this error message or do I need to retrain the wife?
