I had some issues to get our blockbased zips to boot
Found out i needed a commit in recovery ROM-side, here in Tipsy , here on SlimRom's gerrit so if you have a not boot secondary rom, get your dev to pick it. Lineage should be fine, it's there.
Also an device commit could be needed like here on my Tipsy tree
I'm going to update the OP with an op5 Tipsy build that works as secondary, and will rebuild Validus too.

To get Google Play and so on ... You need to flash gapps
Magisk is already inside the rom
I don't know about substratum but I think it's working
Everything works for me except Bluetooth . It connects but the music comes from the phone and not from the headphones

I'd suggest you to do not lock bootloader.. because xiaomi is giving worst policy for unlocking bootloader if something will happen then you cant flash any stuff so better to stay unlocked.

a) Flash it from your exiting TWRP by Rebooting to TWRP -> Install -> Select Image
b) Flash it using Flashify

You can flash treble as well as non-treble roms with OrangeFox.
Besides the usability of the variety on functions which the recovery provides.

Yup.
Just go to the additional settings within the Recovery and set the main path to the OTA survival trigger.
Also check the regarding boxes which are relevant.

Unlikely. Even if we get stable 8.1, they have a strict requirements to become official. Plus our repos are non mergable, so even if we go official, we can use some of the repos for compiling.
It's possible but not idea if it can really happen.

It works on the 8.0 builds. Known issue on 8.1
Build for SM-T800 (chagallwifi) this is a SELinux enforced build, signed with Lineage test keys.
It is untested by me as I don't have this device.
It may boot or it may bootloop - IDK.

Yes, I did factory reset and wipe data just before flashing and after flashing did wipe cache/dalvik. This metod works for LOS 17.1 by 8224Freak from another thread.

His LOS18.1 is for T805. To install it on T800, you need to unzip the package, find the install script, and take out the first line. (which check for device). See the 18.1 thread.

His LOS18.1 is for T805. To install it on T800, you need to unzip the package, find the install script, and take out the first line. (which check for device). See the 18.1 thread.

I need someone who can obtain a logcat
from this looping image.
Likely you'll need to have installed a working T805 image to turn on developer options and adb debugging, then dirty flash this looping image
Or I'll need to give you people an engineering build to get a logcat

I have a working T800 lineage 14.1 image.
But I have absolutely no idea how to do any of this

Im also interessted in this as well, as I stubled across my good old chagallwifi and would love to use it as a homeAutomation screen with LineageOS 18.1
Boot loop issue tracked down to missing consumer IR library , thankyou @zboq , who provided logcat and quick turnaround testing.
