I've been searching and searching and really couldn't find a clear answer.
I flashed my phone using method 1 as described in this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=593786
Now I am seeing this other I guess they are android releases like http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=591104
They post these sqsh files. I already got my phone flashed and running Android is there a way I can upgrade or do whatever I need to do to use the sqsh file in the link I mentioned above? I can't find any clear instructions on how to do this really.
Thanks!
Yes, put the system.sqsh file on your SD card, and create a file called 'systemtonand', when you reboot, the bootloader should pick up that you want to transfer the file and do it automatically.
you may want to add blank file "cleardata" to delete your current data file to prevent conflicts (some system files store items in the data file that may not agree with another system file). there is a cache that, alternatively, can be cleared to avoid deleting your data file, have not tried this, another use posted it but I don't recall which thread.
So yes, Titanium Backup and the deletion of google talk are at it again. This time I actually knew I shouldn't delete then brain farted and did it anyway. So here lies my marketless and FC gapps everytime I pull the market app up.
For the record I searched as best as possible for a solution and the closest I got was a link for gtalk and the Evo 4G, and needless to say it still doesn't work, the market and the force close gapps.service still happens after re install
A solution without a flash and re-root is preferred, please educate the new guy! Thanks for the record I know I'm a jack wagon lol.
Search these forums (or Google) for Fascinate System Dump. It will have whatever files you deleted.
So dump files obtained. Is this is simple drag and drop to the OS or do I need a program on the computer to be able to interface with the filesystem on the Fascinate?
Bare with me guys, while I bring myself up to speed on tearing through the Andriod OS, hacking windows is one thing - tearing apart my phone for the first time - thats a whole nother ball game for me.

So I did that, finally got the files onto my phone and reinstalled all the google.apks including ones that were already existing on the phone.
To no avail I still get the gapps Force close and I'm still unable to download from market after restoring Google Talk Service.
Any help or a simple suggestion would be appreciated - been trying this all day with no success.
I'm not sure if you "installed" the apps or if you placed them back in their proper folder(s), but my guess is that any app you had pre-installed which you deleted was previously in the /system/app folder. The dump has all the files in this folder. You don't need to re-install these files, you need to just copy them back to the /system/app folder.
When you download and install an app, it will install to /data/app. If you "installed" the files rather than copying them back to /system/app, that may be the problem.
On a side-note, this is why I like to move files from one folder to another rather than use Titanium Backup to delete apps/files.
Don't forget to reboot your phone after you copy the files back to /system/app.
Lastly, I'm not responsible for what you break.

Roger that side note - that will be my new policy when managing files.
As far as the clarification - I have been indeed installing the apps instead of moving them to the appropriate location - I guess the difference in installation location never occurred to me. Thank you in advance for the heads up and I'll report my success or failure, hopefully success after i get out of work this evening.
Don't worry if I brick I won't hold you accountable - after all I'm the one who deleted Google apps from the Andriod phone. LOL, In hindsight it was a terrible Idea.
Hi people!
I somehow seem to have corrupted the filesystem of /system somehow. I was replacing a background image file for my rom x-note inside the folder /system/script/images. No big deal, I renamed a present file and injected a new one in its place. Selected it in the x-note settings and things were great. Day after this I decided it was time for a TWRP backup. It starts, 3 seconds and BAM, phone reboots. I grab my root explorer (ES) and go to the folder in question again. My injected file is gone. I attempt renaming the backup of the old file thinking I'd injecting my own file again. BAM, reboot. Trying it again, this time I can't even go INTO the images folder before the phone reboots.
I go into recovery, twrp, trying to use the filemanager there to do the operation. Same result, reboot on trying to enter the folder. How the hell did this happen?? and what can I do? Can I just flash the system partition of the rom again to fix this (so I don't have to set everything up again although I have titanium backups of course).
EDIT: I mean dirty flash by system only
EDIT2: I think I may have renamed the original file ".bak " note the space, maybe that's what f**king it all up.
For others finding themselves in this situation: there's little to do to save the system-partition. There must've been an error sneaked into the partition table or something like that. I dirty-flashed the rom again BUT also had to restore the data partition after that. Then everything was back to normal. This time around I injected the modified background file using the file manager of TWRP. This worked.
Case closed. If anybody cares to explain how it could happen, feel free.
I have secure folder from Samsung, and I deleted a picture. I was wondering if there is a way to get it back. Please reply asap.
Thanks,
Gavin
No, I don't think there are any way to get it back
No...you have to do a backup in samsung cloud everytimes you modify or add a file in secure folder or you lost this

You can take the help of a third party recovery app or software to regain back your photos stored in the secured folder. For example like Recuva, Stellar Phoenix, Remo Recover etc

Those won't be useful for him as he already deleted the image and data recovery apps don't seem to work in secure folder even if you delete the image after installing those apps.
Please help me for recover my image
sir please recover my image

Somehow im happy not having to search more for "good recovery programs" that will gain the first su access i ever gave lol.(sceptical bout giving SU to anyone... so what will i use it for lol)
I just rooted and stuff to recover an unknown document, probably several pages long. its from a private folder in my s5. I reformatted the pics inside to gain some room on internal and deleted the "empty" folder. I forgot 2 other files i couldnt see in gallery :crying:
