I need to flash the stock rom back onto my device but I cant find it online. My friend has the same phone as me, and said I could use her phone to make a file of the rom to flash onto mine but I don’t know what to use to do that.

i tried to flash the rom on my phone and it didnt fully install but now im trying to hard reset my phone and its not working
First of all, I am trying to use my magical ESP powers to guess what kind of phone you have! haha.
Assuming you have a T-mobile Wing
Download and install this

That is the Tmobile Stock RUU which will restore your phone to the way it came out of the box. Always keep that handy when attempting to flash.
Once you've done that, you can try to flash again. The RUU will always be your safety net... so don't lose it. Flash as much as you want, just always make sure you have it.
If its an actual Herald, you can find the Herald RUU's here

I have run into a strange problem. I have spent the last 2 days trying to flash the Fresh Rom back onto my phone. I had some problems while trying to do Apps to SD. Flashed back to stock, Updated and rerooted. I can restore all backups of the original sprint ROM. Every time I flash Fresh 1.0 or restore one of my nandroid backups for Fresh it will get stuck in a boot loop. I have searched everywhere and tried every possible option and can not get this Rom back on the phone. Anyone have any ideas?
first off, do you have a modded Recovery Menu? Because you need one, it is in the forums, i believe it is stickyed, but if its not search for it.
second, did you download the right ROM for YOUR phone?
Third, is the download a good download? it is possible it is corrupt.
put ALL these into consideration.
That what I was gonna ask gotta make sure you're rooted for flashing first! Good luck and let us know if you have any questions...if the directions for rooting viat the Android SDK are too confusing for you like they were for me search the forum for the "flashrec" way of rooting your phone so easy a caveman can do it!
Also be sure to get the base 1.29 RUU just to have if you need to default to stock and I found with my Sprint Hero model that recovey image 1.5.2 works best for back up and restoring 1.2.3 didn't work at all for me hence the need to run the base RUU anytime I tried to restore lol.
Yes I did all of that. I had it flashed with the fresh Rom before. Used the same files that where on my card even redownloaded. No go.
my hd2 was bought second had with kumars 1.5 already installed. if i want to go to the 1.6 premium do i have to install the stock rom or can it just be overwritten
You can just flash 1.6, but make sure it's compatible with your HD2 before flashing. Not sure if you have US T-mobile one or a Non US T-mobile one.
Also make sure you back up anything you want to keep, contacts, pictures, etc before flashing.
it a us tmobile should of posted that
Yup, just flash the ROM onto the device. I would recommend you use PIM Backup, it works great. Run it from your storage card.
i read the tuturial on flashing your device for the first time. since i already have a modified rom, do i skip the first couple of steps and go to where you flash using active sync.
If the previous owner flashed HSPL, which he would have to get Kumars 1.5, then no, you don't need to follow the first step (Flashing HardSPL), just DL your ROM of choice, provided it's compatible with your device, and flash away.
I always flash back to the stock ROM or now with the HD2 perform the task 29 which basically formats the internal storage of the device and then I flash the new ROM. I do this simply because there is always a chance that if you go from one ROM to another there could be a difference that may or may not include a default feature so I always figure be safe then sorry. With the Task 29 you just format the device and then flash the new ROM from your SD card and is really quick and simple.
downloaded someones rom and it is stuck in start up mode. it stays in boot mode bc some didnt cook there rom right. it just keeps reseting the phone. it will not boot up just the start up screen. i can get it to go to the tir color scream thats it will you help me. tryed to change to a different rom maybe your and it says error 270 the image file is corrupted. i tryed to change it to any rom and it wont. finaly got the phone to load up. the rom wont load up at first with the micro sd card in the phone. try changin it out now that the phone loaded up with out the sd card in. i got it dont know how cook that one up would want anyone else to go through what i just did took all day. ivan has the best and know how to cook. got one of his roms back on my phone. i know his roms dont freeze up the phone on start up screan
First step. Finding what phone type you have, i.e. Herald, Wing, Dopod..etc.
Second step. Find the Original ROM that came with your phone. Do this by going to your manufacturer's site and downloading it with your IMEI number.
Third step is to Flash the Original ROM to device.
Fourth step. Download the HardSPL folder and run the three cab files in that folder and then run the romupdateutility.
Fifth Step. To flash a custom ROM replace the canonyang.nbh image file with the custom .nbh ROM image.
Sixth Step. Run the ROMUpdateUtility again with the new .nbh file.
One other thing.. Don't blame cooks for your inability to flash ROM's..
looked at the tmobile website and the htc website for the orginal rom (for the hearld/wing) that came with my phone which is the wing couldnt find it at eather sites. i know how to flash rom i am not retarted. i am taking a guess that it is better to go back to the orginal rom b4 flashing to another rom.
Yes, you are correct.
I've downloaded the tmobile ROM image for you:

Thank you for your validation and support ^>^
thanks buddy i really couldnt find it any where. works great for a min. it will not load up with out my sd card out after loadin and going through the boot up process i put my sd card back in and after a hour or so it will start doing the same thing reboot. i am just going to stay with the orginal rom then i know that my phone will work everytime and not reboot. unless u got a rom that is better then super kitchen version 4.1.13.61 because that rom must not like my phone. i really like the super kitchen rom cant find andthing like it. just need something with some ram and speed
Try using any of my ROMs, but before you do make sure you HardSPL.
I'm going to move this to General since it has nothing to do with the development of roms.
Sorry if this has been posted already, but I'm in a hurry since I'm at work. I need to get a replacement phone from tmobile, and I'm pretty sure that since I installed Elegancia, my warranty is voided. What all do I need to do in order to get everything back to normal?
I'm not sure but you must use the same tool. to unistalled. HSPL2_1024.run. to revert it. 2.08.HSPL to 2.08.0000. and then flash to original rom.
Or flash a stock ROM (found in the stickies) from your SD card. That will overwrite the HardSPL. But don't use the 16GB card that came with the phone. It will usually not work using that card. Format a different (preferably class 6) SD card and copy the stock LEOIMG.nbh file to it and flash from there.
or just flash it to the stock rom via USB cable. Pretty much the same process you used to flash to the custom rom you have now it's the exact same thing when flashing to stock rom. Look in the HD2 Tmobile ROM section and get the latest one. That's all you need.

From what I have read and understand, this is bad information (although I haven't actually tried it to verify that it would work or not). From all of the information that the experts have provided in theses forums, you need to flash the stock ROM from the SD card in order to overwrite the HSPL. The HSPL would not be overwritten if flashing via USB and active sync.
i got my replacement and i sent my phone in with a custom rom.
but to go back to stock it's just like you setting up a custom rom, find the original rom you want there are 2 that's out for the phone( the one shipped and the update) and your all set
i just sent in my custom rommed phone also, they didn't care.
