Is there any plan to port miui 8 for our s7?

Hello guys...
Im just wondering if we're going to have amiui rom or not as the devs managed to port custom roms like aosp an LineageOS
Another question is why can we make miui rom based on stock tw as i see many phones got the rom based on tw like note 3' 4 '5 and s4' 5' 6.

Custom Rom Nexus 6p

Hey guys I have a quick question. I'm thinking about buying a 6P and I can't help but to be paranoid about all of the bootloop issues I'm hearing about. The thing is, it seems that this only happens with the official update(at least that's what I think). If I buy the phone(used) and flash a custom rom, will that be a way to avoid this bootloop issue?
Only some models are experiencing the bootloops issues (I don't know what about the Official PA), otherwise, you'll have a great number of some of the best custom roms (Resurrection remix, purenexus, lineage...) & kernels (elementalX, franco, flash...) and you can choose what's best for you.
I can also say, that the N6P has an amazing camera for taking great photos, and is just a great android phone.
Personnaly I'm on the android O developer preview 3 since more than a mounth, and I can say that it's running great with a good battery life and smooth animations.
Ok thanks. I guess I'll flash the custom rom as soon as I get it just to be on the safe side. The camera caught my attention. It's basically why I'm upgrading from my Oneplus One.

Recommendation for a good custom rom

Hi All,
Our forum is full of custom ROMs which i am unable to find out which one is best in terms of battery, stability, bug fix etc.,
Can someone (who tried most of the roms) rate the available custom roms so that we get a clear picture on this?
Most of the custom roms available now are based on the device tree by arrow team. So they all will have the same bugs (if any).
And there is no such thing as the best custom rom. Depends on the person using it. Some roms are feature packed like crDroid, RR, AEX etc... Whereas some roms offer minimal essential customisations like lineage. And pixel experience project is a pure stock pixel experience. So choose the roms that suit your taste

Why no official custom ROMs

Hi guys,
I have question about the custom roms for k20 (mi 9t) there is lots of roms for k20 pro (mi 9t pro) but why our k20 developing slowly, no official rom like pixel experience, aosp extended, dotOS, etc..
Sorry for bad english and someone explain me about this situation.
Thank you.
There will not be too many teams working on our smartphone. It is the only possible answer. Official groups create roms for the k20 pro and small groups and single people porting the rom for us.
K20 pro is more attractive for make roms.
because to get official status e.g. with LineageOS it has to be fully opensource and have no major bugs and fulfil some other requirements too. Majority of the ROMs here are using MIUI vendor image, not custom aosp, which is the main issue. And even the ROMs that are fully AOSP are not maintained up to the required standards. It requires a lot of additional effort and the devs would need to accept certain aspects they do not want to accept or don't have the capacity to do so. I wouldn't expect official custom ROM anytime soon, maybe 6 months from now once Android 10 ROMs would become somewhat stable and the vendor image will be perfected to the point it won't cause random battery drains, popup camera, display flickering etc. problems.

The guys said it all.
1, our device isn't too popular, K20Pro is the one most got.
2nd Xiaomi isn't 100% opensource.

A doubt about Custom Roms.

Hi guys,
I am currently using an iPhone 12 as my primary device and looking for an secondary device.
Before iPhone 12, I was using OnePlus 5T and I used to play around by flashing different Custom ROMs since it had a good community support.
Now looking to buy Poco M3 as my secondary device. The only thing I want from a Custom ROM is pure android with no noticeable bugs.
How is the Custom ROM support for Poco M3? Are the ROMs stable enough to use it as daily driver? If yes, Which is the most Stable ROM as of now.
My decision to buy Poco M3 will be purely based on Custom ROMs availability since I will flash it in the day 1 itself. If no stable ROM is available, I am looking to buy Moto G40 Fusion.
And I can see a lot of threads mentioning Phone Dead/Bricked issues. Does that happen only with official MIUI or custom ROMS also?
Can you guys help me out. Thanks in advance.

well, you are talking about a great phone with good screen and awesome speakers, i am also a poco m3 user so, i might be the best to give you the right answer,
let's begin if you want vanilla android try pixel experience rom but it's unofficial for our device, so i would recommend you dot os official rom, it's fast and beautiful
remember, before flashing any rom read the guide carefully, cause many rom including dot os require you to have certain version of miui to be able to flash bug free.
best of luck.
