I am sending my S2 back to Samsung because of the camera, and curently on 2.3.4 and rooted, are their anything i can do to tell them that i did not mess with the phone, and I bought the phone from Bell unlocked

Revert it back to stock for a start means using Odin to flash the stock rom. Do you know what rom it was on when it was stock? Or did it have Bell Branding on it?

I would remove root, but as long as you didnt flash the phone you should be fine.
I say flash because the system has an internal flash counter, samsung can tell if you've been flashing your phone

Flash means install a firmware or part of a firmware.
Rooting voids warranty so you need to remove root by flashing a stock rom .
Reset the custom rom counter with USB jig .

I had a similar problem, I'd rooted the phone and had the yellow warning triangle when turning the phone on.
So I flashed a stock rom (the original one that was installed when I bought the phone) using odin and this solved the problem, the warning triangle had gone, the phone was like new.
I too had to send one back for Warranty repair, it had been rooted and custom roms installed a number of times. I reset the counter using a USB jig (Download mode jig which resets the rom counter), and reinstalled the Stock Vodafone ROM. They did what they did and sent the phone back to me, no questions asked. If you have had custom roms on there rather than stock ones with non-stock kernels I would advise getting the jig.

I have done warranty replacement and was never asked a question why I had flashed custom ROM 7 times!
You just flash official ROM back and you should be good to go folks. Infact NOWHERE in Samsung's documentation it says you can't root or install custom ROM on the phone or it would void the warranty! Even when we get the warning while entering download mode, it never tells you that it will void the warranty!
So essentially there should be no worry for warranty claims even when you accidentally left custom ROM with root on the phone while doing warranty claims. Let me know if ANYONE out here had a different experience and I have NEVER seen claims getting rejected for these reasons!!!

Agreed! I got my screen replaced even i was on custom rom. They flashed the stock rom back thou
But i quess you can't do warranty claims if you take your bootlooping phone to repair centre caused by flashing custom roms.

I wanna ask if rooting S7E voids warranty and if there is way to go back. Simple question but...
I've owned G4 (epic phone) and I rooted the device within first month. I had no issues for long 12 months but then I've ran into bootloop G4 issue (confirmed issue by LG). The thing is I've unlocked bootloader with official LG tool, which enabled small message in upper left corner on boot "Bootloader is unlocked". This small message gives info to anyone who holds the phone it's out of warranty. And there was no freaking way to lock the bootloader again. I was f*cked.
I'd like to buy S7E cause Note 7 is gone and there is no other choice for me. But is there a way how to turn phone completely into stock form inc. unroot, bootloader, rom, .... for case something happends to the device and I will need to return it? I can afford to buy another phone in 2 months just because I was d*ck who rooted the phone, voided the warranty and got kicked out out of the shop.

To your question: Yes. Rooting will (depending on your location) void the OEM warranty. It CAN also void your statutory warranty. Samsung devices have a "KNOX" secure container. A separate elaborately encrypted partition on the devices local storage. To prevent unauthorized access the Knox container is secured by an eFuse chip which will be blown as soon as non-Samsung signed images are flashed on the device, e.g. rooting, custom ROM or kernel or any other mod. When the eFuse is blown it'll be shown in the device's bootloader menu as "Knox Warranty Void: 0x1" similar to the G4's "Bootloader Unlocked" tag on the splash screen. A tripped Knox flag is irreversible. Once the eFuse is blown, the secure container and its contents are wiped and can never be accessed again until the device receives a new motherboard with an intact eFuse.

Hi there! I've always been a Samsung user and I'm familiar with chainfire rooting method, Odin, the damn knox and all the tools that people need to achieve the beloved full control of our phones.
Let's go straight to the point: I need to buy a new phone for a friend of mine and the P9 Lite seems the most complete and suitable but I've read that if you unlock the bootloader and root it you obviously loose your warranty. The phone is unrootable by flashing a fresh OS image, but the bootloader will stay unlocked, tripping the useful warraty.
Is there any damn way to revert everything to stock in case there should be the need to send the phone to the customer service?

You can relock the bootloader if you reinstall a stock rom and revert to stock recovery, just fyi... Also there have been reports that the warranty is not void if the issue was not caused by a faulty software. Also if you are new to Huawei, be careful. And READ! A lot of people don't read, and mess up their phone...
Instead of making a new thread about the same issues I'll pitch in here too. What is the safest way to root and unroot in case of warranty? LIke the OP I came from the Samsung ecosystem too but I get the feeling if I don't at least ask about Huawei's one I'll probably **** something up.

Simply flashing stock rom will lock bootloader but Huawei have your data of unlocking bootloader.

Huawei says they "could" apply fee on unlocked phones. Maybe relocking it restores warranty? I tried to ask them but damn Chinese they don't reply.
They could, but the chance of that happening is really low, especially if your device is 100% bricked, and it needs a motherboard swap

If it's hardbricked and bootloader is unlocked and the problem is not related to bootloader or a process you made that requires unlocked bootloader, I think they won't fee you because it has nothing to do with bootloader. But of course a company will always choose cheaper way. If a phone goes download mode or fastboot mode it's already saved anyway.

I wish... I can't seem to be able to save mine, even though it shows up on fastboot on the pc. The phone itself won't turn on at all. I can't seem to lock the bootloader either, anything I flash now seems to have no effect. I just hope the Huawei service fixes it.

If you have access to fastboot mode, you can flash anything. You dont have to flash an img permenantly if you want to save your phone. Use

you can boot your recovery without rooting your phone. You can even open your custom recovery and flash your system.img or stock boot.img.

I tried fastboot flash boot boot.img (and similarly, recovery.img, system.img, any partition I could flash, multiple times with multiple files) but the phone did not boot at all. Not even into the bootloader nor recovery. It was completely unresponsive. Now the phone is not in my hands so any suggestion is too late...

1) is normal that fastboot connection works only after setting the device for "allow own unlock" and "USB debugging"?
2) I might flashing my devices without unlocking the bootloader? And what about flashing original firmwares from Motorola?
(I ask because my bootloader is locked under status "2")

OK...My first and main recommendation is DO NOT start trying to flash, mod, or do anything outside of using the phone as intended yet. These questions show that you have very limited knowledge on these subjects and if you continue as is, you will most likely get yourself into a bind you can't get out of, such as hard bricking your device.
Questions 1 and 4 are Bootloader/Fastboot/Rooting 101 topics. Until you have read up thoroughly on these, please don't think about proceeding. The rest of your questions have been answered here in the forums. I can't stress this enough: RESEARCH, READING, AND READ SOME MORE!!! No one here is obligated to help you fix any mess you get into so you need to be able to help yourself first. If you have attempted to fix an issue, and can give some details on what has been tried, you will find that most likely, there will be some who will step forward to assist, but most will not rehash a full step by step of everything.
Please do not think I am trying to blow you off. I am merely trying to prevent you from creating a problem that cannot be fixed. Having at least a basic working knowledge of how FastBoot, Bootloader, and flashing ROMs work on this device is a must. But I will answer your question 3: Do not under any circumstances try to "downgrade" your stock rom on the phone to a previous security update. This does create major issues.

I haven't. I have unlocked , used custom roms for a time and flashed stock and locked again before. Did it just following to guides available here.
In that time I did not have any trouble doing that lol

Just in case you are not aware, having an unlocked bootloader does not prevent you from taking OTA updates. You can just leave it unlocked. The unlocked bootloader warning doesn't bother me so I just ignore it.

Now, its "oficial", status "2" and no warning. So I can sell it without discussion.
Welp, my power button has decided to do some funky things lately and I decided to RMA it. Just wanted to double check on the steps to bring it back to stock. First, download an official RUU and flash it to the phone. IIRC this will also bring back stock recovery which will replace twrp. Then lock the bootloader and then go back to S-on. I sent my phone to J-case before unlocking was available on Sunshine, so is there anything special that I need to do to lock the bootloader and go S-on? I will be following the steps outline in this guide to help me out https://theunlockr.com/2016/08/18/unroot-htc-10/. With that being said, is there anything special that needs to be done that this guide does not outline for our phones? Also, if my terrible googling skills missed a thread that already has the steps outlined, please link it to me and after I get the phone back to stock I will then delete this thread.

Honestly, if you are just returning it and anticipate a replacement warranty device, as opposed to a repair, just factory reset it and don't worry about it. They're not even going to power it up; they'll bulk erase it and reflash it and nobody will ever know it was S-OFF and/or bootloader unlocked.

I kinda figured that is what they would end up doing with it. But I also did not want to go through the headache in case they decided to check. Thanks for the advice!
Hgol is probably right but when I was on the phone getting my device set to be replaced they told me that if the phone was physically abused or had software modifications they would charge me a 300$ unrefundable fee so for me I ruu to stock and went back to s-on locked to be safe I would too you never know if your device is gonna be that one that they actually check
