Hi all very new to this and wondered if someone could help. Trying to install new firmware on a Samsung tab a 10.1. My tablet is currently locked to the company that provided it who have now gone bust. I am under the impression I can install new firmware from my pc to crack the lock. I have installed Odin and Samsung drivers but no idea where to get the firmware. Any help much appreciated

If only it were that easy. The knox lock is in the bootloader, which isn't affected by flashing new firmware. This is, afterall, theft protection and if were easy to break, it would be useless. The only possibility I can think of, is that there is sometime a PAID service which will unlock the bootloader on SOME Samsung devices. Try googling SamPWND.
MaNy thanks for your help.

On a locked bootloader you can only get back to your exact device build or update. So just the Sm s820L (current api or above) from Sammobile.
Hey guys. I've had this phone for a while on a deodexed rom with busybox. Anyway about 1.5 months ao I had some financial trouble and had to let the service go for a little over a month. When I bough a new airtime card I noticed that the phone was nolonger picking up any type of signal when it had alway shown a strong signal even when I had no time on it. I thought maybe it was because I needed to reactivate it or something so I added the airtime card (the $50 unlimited, it's on net10 by the way) but still can't get it to find any kind of signal. I've been wracking my brain trying to figure out why and so far nothing. I have restored with a previouse TWRP backup, factory reset and tried reinstalling the rom but nothing has helped. Any imput would be greatly apreciated
Hey guys!
I'm fresh to these forums but I've been into modding my SM-S820L for a while.
I have a couple of posts over at needrom.com with firmware and unofficial TWRP release for the SM-S820L.
Head over there and check it out.
Hi guys ,
I have recently brought a Samsung s7 edge on EE in the UK, I did but the phone second hand but appears to be working correctly to start .
The phone will not find any software updates or play pokemon go for my son and Samsung knox is also tripped out , says the software has been modified in a unauthorised way, I went to samsung and they said it has been rooted and void of warranty so all I can do is Give them £250 for a new motherboard for the phone.
I followed some instructions by downloading a terminal client and it's not showing me as having super user status on the device ,
.I've had I phones since day one and was loving the freedom of android but I really do find myself out of my league as I'm pretty illiterate when it comes to this kind of stuff . I'm looking to either flash the phone back to its factory state or have the phone rooted properly to allow me to update etc
I'm very apprehensive about attempting this myself and was hoping someone could point me in the direction of a idiots guide on how to or specialist on here who would do it for payment if I were to meet them somewhere with their laptop
I have tried Google searching but nothing much seems to make sense , thanks in advance
You want to flash a stock firmware. Get everything working OK first. Try "Updato" for fast firmware downloads. Try a "BTU" firmware. Download Samsung phone drivers and Odin. YouTube Odin very simple to use. Should restore your phone. Then look into rooting.

The phone is modified in a way that it was rooted before, but prior to selling, the vendor unrooted it. Pokemon Go will not work on a rooted device.
First thing is to find the exact build of the phone (under software info in the about section of settings), then look for the corresponding firmware. Trustworthy sources is this forum and sammobile (I usually get my firmware files here). Samsung PC drivers can be found on the internet. Officially they are installed on the PC when you install Samsung SmartSwitch (Samsung's PC Backup and Updating software). Then download Odin. You will use that to flash the stock firmware back onto your phone.

The UK S7 Edge, which is the Exynos variant (G935F) doesn't have bootloader restrictions in that form, thus there is nothing to "relock".

Why do you link to an article on a questionable site, named exactly what I'd imagine a phishing, scammer website would call it to someone completely new to Android!? Seriously, stop linking to these weird a** pages. These pages only exist to generate traffic. They're not even ran by real people. The same exact text on that website is on five other websites, copied and pasted. This is not productive. New users need assistance that's going to help them in the long term. They have to understand the process.
@Elliottsdaddy You want your device restored to its original state. Unrooted. The process of unrooting by flashing a stock firmware is fairly complicated for a newbie and requires you to extensively read and comprehend the tutorial/process. Seriously. There is a lot that can go wrong. I'm gonna ask you to follow the link below. It's a tutorial, posted on XDA by one of our senior members @henklbr. If you have questions, first use the search function and see if your question has already been answered by someone. If not, feel free to ask and give enough detail so people can help you appropriately.

Hello,
I flashed my Samsung S7 edge to custom ROM, Later i decided to go with the Stock ROM and done so, but seems still the bootloader is unlocked.
I want to re-Lock by bootloader again, can some one help on how to do that ?
Thanks
What do you want to do that for ?? Leave it like this, because if you have a problem with sofware it will be easier to repair.

Thanks for the response, I have an compelling reason to do that, which is my office work profile (office emails) have stopped working because of the bootloader unlock.
Any help on how to lock back will be very helpful.
Samsung tab T510 wifi only can't get it frp
I haven't tried this because Samsung removed my lock but I came across it by searching "odin FRP patch". It says it is 2020 and its free to try. https://www.imyfone.com/unlock-andro...ile-with-odin/
Can't hurt to try.
Hey has anyone had any luck removing the frp lock. I've got a sm-t510 xsa version. From what I've seen a combination file is possibly the solution.
Can't seem to find a version for my tablet.
Does anyone know where to find or possibly convert the Odin firmware to do the job?
Thank you

Combo files no longer work. If you have proof of purchase, there is a good possibility that the tablet is still in warranty and Samsung Support will remove the lock. One other way I've heard of is to flash the Chinese stock ROM. It doesn't support Google Accounts so you can boot it and enabable OEM. Then you can flash back to ROM for your region and the tablet will be unlocked.

Yeah. A magic wand will work too. Hmmm, don't seem to have one of those either.
I tried flashing Magisk onto my phone, everything was going well then suddenly it went into a boot loop and I assume Knox was tripped. I can get it into download mode but I can't find the firmware and I'm quite lost. Someone, please help!
I am also looking for my firmware. I must say it's a huge pain in the rear to find something that you can download for free.
From what I found it seems the fastest option is from samfw dot com
There, you have to find out your version, your region and carrier as well.
Good luck, you're not alone, although as you wrote it 4 days ago I assume and hope you already found something
edit: found better site
