White phone is taking time. Mine will be delivered only on July 24

Battery sucks 4 Hour SOT without much apps installed. Only Facebook and LinkedIn . Screen is taking major part and Nothing Launcher next
Any one facing the same ? Or mine is defective one ?

I just received the phone, its is indeed beautiful.
The build quality is 10/10 and the software is also very stock just like google pixel, unlike S22ultra's crappy bloatware.
It comes with a pre applied screen guard film.
I loved the sim ejector tool.

except for battery everything for fine for me...SOT is 4 to 5 hours... at 24 W charging fast ..but discharging fast too....tried with normal/oneplus and iphone chargers/cables ... some times touch also not working ..have to click multiple times..

Initial i also faced the same. Touch issue is there but I can say it's a lag even I have compare with my white version it works perfectly fine.

I just got me Evo two days ago, and flashed DamageControl's rom. I don't live in a 4G area, so I have that shut off. I generally don't turn on WiFi or GPS unless I'm actually using them. I did have wifi on a few times yesterday, but for a total of no more than 45 minutes. I have three email accounts, two that update as soon as mail comes in, and one that checks every hour. My corporate and google contacts sync as well as both calendars. I have facebook syncing in the background as well.
I did a decent amount of emailing and some web browsing. Even with all that I went 23 hours and 36 minutes before the battery went red and it told me to charge it.
I was worried with all the horror stories I heard, but that was pretty incredible battery life for my average use of the phone.
Is your battery completely covered in the orange HTC wrapping or does it have spots on the back where you can see the silver underneath?
It looks like it's completely covered. Although I would say it's red not orange. I couldn't tell you which batch it came in as I got it off of Craigslist.

People have reported that battery is better than the ones that aren't completely covered.
I too have the all red wrapper battery, did a 8 hour charge with the phone off prior to this picture.

I did jack **** with mine and was able to squeeze out 28 hours
I usually average 2 days on a charge, usually at least 35 straight hours. Having a second backup battery gives me more than 3 full days.
I think most of the problem lies in how the phone charges the battery; usually it doesn't charge the battery to 100%, but it thinks it has. Some days I get 5 hours out of my phone and other's 12 to 15.
I've tried every tweak I can find and run fresh 1.0.1, too.
I think I'm going to have to buy that 2 batteries and charger for the HD2 on ebay for $10; anybody have that link?

I am relatively certain the Evo battery has a break-in period. My first week owning the device I was running:
Voice
SMSPopup
Push Gmail
Push Exchange
3G on / WiFi off
Did some gaming, light browsing, lot of texting, moderate usage over the course of a day.
I got about 8 hours tops before the battery died. That was with the screen brightness at HTC's "medium" level.
Yesterday, I had the same running in the background, did the same things except I also read a bunch using the Kindle app, and used GPS a bit, and I was at 60% after 26 hours off the charger. No special "tricks" like task killers (ew!) or underclocking hacks or startup killers or anything.
Huh...I am not where near getting that much. About to start my fourth week with phone and still in the 12-14 hours.
Are you all doing the charging routine or just plugging in? If I just plug in I definitely only get to about 10pm. If I do the charging routine I can get still have about 30% by evening.

Actually I own a Nexus 5, while in the past I had an S2 and a Note 2.
Nexus 5 is a quite good phone but battery life also with custom kernel is limited to its the battery size. Moreover when I bought my Nexus 5 I was coming from a Note 2, so I started to miss a bigger screen and for sure a better camera that is the weaker point of Nexus 5.
Battery
Let’s start from what everyone take care and want to now when they have to buy a new smartphone: “The battery life”.
So, taking into account that the battery life of a smartphone really depends on the usage pattern of every single user, apps and mobile reception of where we live, after 5 day of usage I can say that with my pattern of usage (see below) I am constantly getting between 4 and 5 hours of SOT.
Pattern of usage: 2 mails in push (one for work where I usually receive many mails by day), mixed use wifi/data, no push notification for facebook, chatting, browising, watching few videos, and reading mostly all the time. Some camera shots when I am with friends. Brightness always in automatic mode.
Camera
There are already too many example and comparisons on youtube. I can only confirm that the camera great one of the best for now. I have a DSLR camera and like to take my time when I have to take a picture of a landscape. So I really appreciated the manual mode and how it is good and simple the interface of the new camera app. Everything can be settled with few taps. Although a smartphone probably will never substitute a DSLR camera, with that toy on G4 you can have fun for sure.
Display
Also here, already many review and comparisons with the S6 amoled. Without judging which is better because I do not own an S6, what I can tell for sure is that it is really good. Colors are never saturated and brightness is fine in the majority of the situations. What I found really improved is the antiglare, the reflection of the sun seems to me pretty good, while a negative impression is that the display seems to be really power hungry as soon as you increase the brightness.
Reception and Calls
Reception is basically the same of my nexus 5 (pretty good) while I found the calls really clear on the LG G4 and better than my nexus 5.
Speakers
Good and really loud… was unexpected!
Missing Features out of the box
Two missing feature out of the box are the wireless charging and the quick charging. While the quick charging is officially supported by the SD808 and we only have to wait for a kernel update to have it enabled, the big disappoint is the wireless charge. Big disappoint because it is not officially supported on the leather cover but only buying a circle cover. After all the advertising on that cover by LG I can not understand why to enable a common feature of any actual flagship we have to change cover (or via an unofficial way, like a sticker to add to the cover).
Overall and final considerations
This phone is satisfying me under the majority of aspect that I want from a phone, like the battery life, the camera, the display and the quality of calls. I think this phone has a huge potential that can be improved with a good custom kernel and a lighter custom rom (even if I have to say that I found the stock rom really fluid and without any lag). With a custom kernel we will probably gain an other hour of SOT.

I got an email yesterday to say that I didn't get picked.
I'm in as well, with the insiders too. One disappointment is I thought we would get the phone before launch, it doesn't look that way anymore. I wonder if they will send out a random selection of colours or just the black.
I didn't get in. Looks like I'll have to buy one in Black Leather next week instead [emoji14]

I just think it would be strange that the rest of the world gets the wifi model and the people in the UK the full one but then again the other people didn't have to leave a safety bond

I have just the same problem . To be honest, I was "5 minutes away" to go the store as my HTC 10 Evo/Bolt is 5 days old only. But if that not "my unique case" then the update may be the reason.
Did you post any info directly to the HTC?

Black Screen
I started experiencing the same issue in December, in addition eventually the issue progresses to screen artifacting and flickering. I am on my second phone and about to send that one in for a replacement due to re-occurrence of the issue.
HTC has about a four week turn around time, so beware. If you have really bad issues ask to speak to the escalations supervisor.
Many people are experiencing this issue. Some have gone through 3-4 replacements already with each new one having the same issue. My BOLT only experiences this when I pull it out of my pocket and unlock. Can be fixed temporarily by giving the right hand side of screen a firm tap. Anybody have any ideas on a fix?
I'm on my 3rd phone due to that issue. You just have to exchange it. No way to fix it.

my Bolt is not currently active, so I haven't been using much, but I do recall the screen jumping around once when I pulled it out to check something...just checked it again and it's fine...weird
I wonder if anyone has a perfectly working (for months) and not overheating bolt. I've gone through 3. Should be recalled.

Im curious if you have taken all the OTA updates? My Bolt was fine for about 3 months before i had severy lag issues but not the screen problem. I took it back yesterday and got a new one. My new one is on an old software version 1.15.651.11 and there have been 3 updates since this version. I have not updated yet.

Im on number 2 since Tuesday. I had bad lag issue. new phone fine so far, took too OTA updates from .11 to .15 and .22. its not alerting me to the latest 1.32.651.6 however yet?? So far no issues and phone is not running hot either.
I should also mention that I am out 3 screen savers. Think Sprint will give me a bill credit on those

I have taken all updates and so far have had no complaints the only time I've had it get warm was when I was charging and playing Pokemon go. No unusual lagging or screen problems so far I am also unlocked and s off I have flashed bb rom and am currently stock right now between the two I have had I good experience so far I hope htc gets the kinks out because this phone even though has an older processor is a good device.
I took .6 so far so good haven't noticed excessive heat

I too like the phone except for the kinks. I have taken OTA for .15 anc .22 without any issues. Then after about another day it is telling me to update to the new 1.32.651.6. everything is good but i guess i will take the update and hope for the best.
Recently I've been having trouble with the screen staying black with key pad lit on wake on gesture or power button. That may have been caused by my case... But more concerning is the screen flickering. It seems to come about more as the day goes on. When it starts to happen I tried rebooting, and it does it during boot too. I wonder about the longevity of this phone

PD: I have the Tianma display and I've always had the brightness set to Auto.
What's your panel type? (Dial *#*#6484#*#* -> Tap Version Information -> scroll down a little bit to LCD).
Do you use your phone at a maximum brightness/in direct sunlight often?
I'm asking because I cannot observe anything like that.

My friend has the Gold version, made in China with the Tianma display and same problem. It's crazy. I have a phone with AMOLED that has this but it took years to get something visible but yours and my friends took one month and it's complete noticeable.
My problem is that I bough one Gold version to my wife that is arriving this week and a Black version that will be coming this month, both made in China, and I don't know what will happen. I pray that they won't come with Tianma display at least.
Does anyone has this display and doesn't have this issue?

If your brand new Mi A1 also got affected I think that we should reclaim a recall or at least a software update that constantly move the pixels on the status bar (like Pixel 2 XL and Lineage OS).

Yes man. The first thing I'll look is the display manufacturer. The bad thing is that I think that Gold one will arrive this week (but I'm not sure because here in Brazil mail is a sh**) but the Black one only God knows when it'll arrive my home.
Interesting thing. I didn't know about the movement of status bar. Where can I find that thing on LineageOS?

No, my iPhone 6 (Retina IPS) got the keyboard burn in after 2 years of use.

Interesting. It says that is "device-specific". I saw my G Pad 8.3 tablet with LineageOS 14.1 and the option is not showed.

You'll have better chance with this display. Yes, lower backlight helps.

Well, I have ilitek too, but after 2 days of usage I got 1 stuck pixel in the lower part of the screen. Waiting to send it to warranty...
I bought mine on a offline dealer, I’m going to apply the warranty when I travel to the city where I bought it I hope that they found that as a problem and repair my unit.
PD: There aren’t Xiaomi Service Centers on my country, I’ll keep you guys updated.

Can't you just leave it in shop where you bought it and let them sort it out? Here in Poland if you buy something at shop you just bring your broken thing there and they send it to service etc

Same to Romania.
If you bought it from a physical store: go to that store and they will send it to service.
If you bought it online: they will send a courier to take your phone to the service.
I ordered mine this morning around 5am PT. It showed shipped around 11:50am. Estimated delivery date is 5/9-5/10. I checked the tracking and it hasn't updated yet. I can't wait to try out this budget phone.

This is my 3rd Google phone and I was shocked by how Google managed the phone launch this time around. I got the phone just 2 days after ordering it on launch day.
As for the Pixel 3a, I'm loving it so far for its size, weight, easy one-hand use, battery life, lean software, and great camera.
I still like my Samsung S10+ better though.

Aha! Someone with both S10+ and Pixel 3a! Do you intend to keep both?
I am still on original Moto X (How do you know your phone is old? When Chrome browser says it will no longer be updated for this OS version. Happened a couple months ago.) I was really looking forward to get S10e but decided to wait to see if there are any problems. I am really glad I did! Problems with LTE connectivity (as in lack of) mostly on Sprint (70 pages long thread on Samsung forum and similar on Sprint), overheating, Bluetooth issues, proximity sensor not working right and keeps phone up in the pocket. Have you experienced any of those on your S10+?
I looked at Pixel 3 and it was not much better (call quality issues, BT issues, flickering display). Decided to wait for Pixel 3a.
I am just really frustrated that I have pay a lot of money and deal with issues. My 5 year old phone doesn't have any except, well, being old.
EE Uk locked down my pixel 3a lol, tossers.

Sure
Bunch of discord, checking xda, emails, some music using a bt headset. Brightness kind of all over the place depending on the areas lighting, played a few games, some YouTube, some Reddit, some imgur, browsing the play store, browsing fdroid, telegram. I've attached what I consider to be the final s.o.t for the phone as I'm going to plug it in now. I did notice the battery stats are missing a bunch of apps that ran, so not sure what's up with that.

I have a Samsung S9 as my daily phone. Google delivered the Pixel 3a is two business days, which was quick.
I bought the Google fabric case for the phone. But even without the case the 3a is the first phone I've held in a couple of years which felt "secure". Put another way, every time I handle my Samsung S9 without it's case I am scared I'll drop it, because of the extraordinarily slippery glass. The Pixel 3a feels like I won't drop it. I'm not even sure careful people need a case.
One last thing: Some of the reviews say the phone feels cheap because it's plastic and not aluminum and glass, With a case on the 3a phone no one can tell what the case is made of, or if the rear of the phone is fancy glass. I much prefer a robust phone. Because, you know, when it's all said and done, if you shatter your S9 screen, what you have is $1000 of junk.
So I'm liking this Pixel so far... . And bonus points: It has a headphone jack again! YES!!
