Connection Problem with 9212b HU and CanBus - Android Head-Units

Hello dear friends. My headunit is this one https://www.aliexpress.com/item/32972656000.html?spm=a2g0o.order_list.0.0.21ef1802BpouAa
Specs:
9212B_00020_V001 / Android 9.1 Car Edition / XY AUTO J7.3 / 1GB-16GB / CAN Pro 9.0.2 .
My big problem is that i can't install CanBus (CAN PRO: 9.0.2 disconnect).
I ordered from Ali this one : https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005004121186291.html?spm=a2g0o.order_list.0.0.21ef1802H1XVko
But , in factory settings -> Protocol, there isn't any option to select for this CanBus (OUDI).
I sent message to both sellers to help me , but i haven't any answer yet.
My car is Opel Combo C (2005) and the. factory stereo was CD30. Pleaseeeee , can anyone help me with that?
1. Do i have to change the pins in harness?
2. Can anyone upload/share the Canbus folder with host and plugins?
3. I have upgrade the software from 1.000 to 1.008 and the model list, but when I try to confirm Opel (OUDI doesn't have Combo model), just loading and appears a message about connection.

We had the same problem, you just had to go into settings, hard manager, and there's a CANBus file where you have one or two apps to install. Now in your situation, you have nothing to do but reinstall your Android. Alone is very hard (I say it from my own experience), many applications drivers to install, pc laptop performance, and if you did something wrong.... He's gone. You need to look for a company that does that in your city or nearby, or if not like I did. Contact the people from whom you bought the device and agree to reinstall it for free or in exchange for a sum of money.I just have reinstalled my Android on two devices... Free... It only cost me to send them to China, and a lot of patience. From July 5 only two days ago I received the two motherboards. One more thing you need to have basic knowledge to know how to dismantle the motherboard. I hope it was helpful to you with something... Good luck. Michael

Please Help Me Identify my Head Unit and Boot into Recovery to install GApps

Hello guys
I received an unbranded, touch-buttons (no physical), no-sdcard, Chinese Android 5.1 Head Unit as a gift 2 days ago
Annoyances:
No GApps/Google Play Services
No Manual
No Manufacturer Support (Website, E-Mail)
Password Protected Developer Settings / Backup & Restore [EDIT: Found the password on another XDA thread; it's 3368]
Unknown Boot into recovery key combination
No DVD
However, it does have:
Wi-Fi
Touch Buttons (Pictures Included)
Female USB Port cable connected to the back Jack
GPS/GLONASS
Nice interface (Not a problem when Play store is available, I'll Download Car Launcher or something; i know i can install APK directly, but would like a root solution i.e. Install Play Store)
AV Input Support / Backup Reverse Camera Support
The Problem(s):
I'm Unable to figure out the correct key combination to enter recovery mode and flash GApps
Unable to figure out the 4 digit PIN for Developer Settings & Backup & Reset & "Car Settings App" [SOLVED: Keys are: Advanced Settings Password: 3368 | Homescreen menu: 8086 | Backlight Current menu: 5768]
Would really appreciate someone's guidance on how to root the thing, I'm a Power Nexus 5 user, never settled for No Root / OEM crap, and have been on CM since 2013 (Currently planning on making the move to Lineage OS, Pending release of a Stable image)
What I've tried so far:
boot into recovery with every possible key combination and even patterns (long press, short press, hold & release timing... the whole 9 yards)
Following a similar YouTube video in which he stripped a wire from the back connector cable labeled something like Key 5V, Mine is Key+ , and put it in contact against the Unit's chassis while pressing the RST button using a needle
All of the above simultaneously (Wire-strip contact with chassis + Touch button(s) + RST with needle)... Don't ask :$
I would really appreciate your help guys, as I've reached a frustrating dead-end, kindly find the attached pictures for more information on the unit
if image links won't work, try this album on XDA set to public https://forum.xda-developers.com/album.php?albumid=14183
You could try the root solution proposed for joying Intel sofia units. Search into xda
It is based on adb over wifi and inyect the root

I think that i have a clue, but not a clear answer: the Software is Joying Intel Sophia based, operating over a Rockachip HW... again: Not Sure
Piece of advice: this unit seems to be a cheap imitation of the original Joying units, it doesn't have SD Card Slot, Very Slow (1GB RAM, Slow CPU), No Google Services/Play Store, and many other missing features
I Highly advise you to seek more trusted units from known suppliers with good support i.e. Joying, Pumpkin, Eincar, Eonon. And don't skimp on the features to save $20, because believe me, you'll regret it
Good luck :fingers-crossed:

Thanks for the updates!!
I think you may be right with this unit being of lower grade than other better known suppliers, but I suspect the hardware are all made by the same manufacturer in China.
It's probably worth the extra $20 for a different brand.
Have you looked into the ATOTO thread? ATOTO also has a similar unit (with microSD). I wonder if you will be able to flash the ROM with one of these.
Do keep us updated, and good luck to you, too!!
Kindly if anyone can help

I recently purchased a chogath a7 for 03 Accord first is it any good secondly I cannot get the climate display to show for anything the buttons work but no display for it. It's running Oreo with octa core also when I connect to WiFi the time goes back to something not my region in USA NJ I'm willing to pay anyone who can help me.
If
you mean that the AC is not displaying, there is a couple of things you could try but it's not guaranteed it will work. Go to settings, then find car settings and in that menu go into the Factory Settings option. The code is something that you need to find out from the manufacturer. In there there is a canbus menu option. I suppose it will say "No" in there so just try to find the one matching your car. Then press apply and restart the unit. Try to see if the wheel controls work. If not then try to find an app called vehicle information or something similar. Enter that app and see if you get any info. If you dont then get back to the factory settings again and try another CANbus setting. There might be 2-3 that work on your make/model.
If nothing works and you lose the wheel controls, just change that setting back to "No" and you will need to live without AC and open door information
About the steering wheel controls... You mean that you dont get the volume changer graphic on your head unit?
For the wifi issue, you can just disable the auto time setting in the settings and it will never revert back again
Yes and no
With climate my ac works when I got the button but as far as coming up on the screen I just don't know how high or low it is. Like fan speed whether it's dash or dash and feet. The temperature it's set to those things. I get WiFi. And when I go into my settings I don't have any user settings and I do see ether canbus model selections but only one for 7 gen Accord. Is this something a update would fix or a custom rom

Nope i went on eBay and asked other sellers to help me but in the mean time the control for climate stopped working completely. It was only the display but now it don't even control it the lights don't light up when i push the button like they used to either. You can't get any help for these units anywhere. It's frustrating. I can't find ROMs updates help information. Apparently all winner makes cops for more then just head units. The brand don't really mean much because underneath there all the same. I have been trying to find any help at all for one of these units and a 03 Accord ex that has factory navigation and i can't get any help and this site is usually pretty good with help. I learned allot about phones on here but it got nothing with help for the head unit or wiring or anything.
You're best bet is to take it to a mechanic, or a person who deals with chinese head units in real life, and get them to set it up for a small fee
Chinese headunits are pretty wierd, you'll most likely be having to experiment on your own..

I may have a solution for you. Solution is a new CANBUS deocder , the one that supports all settings from your car MCU (decoder interacts with your car computer, some cheap Chinese stuff that came originally with multimedia device are somewhat limited - cheap but expensive in hole multimedia order).
Had similar problems and my seller choosen one of the expensive ones, but I did not order it yet, but told me that this one limited in my car cannot get all the functions from car MCU.
It gave me specs for a most possible replacement so all of you in need of a new canbus to resolve your issues look on Ali Express by this :
- origin : CN
- Year : 2019
- External testing certification : CCC
- Model name: ASPI decoder
The Store on Ali Express is called NEVEGETOR STORE
NOTE: generally this one described works with ALPS multimedia devices
Good luck and tell me if your problem is fixed, post here !

New to Android headunits: Bluetooth and firmware questions

Hi!
I'm new here and am wondering if someone could help me out.
I got an Android headunit through a local workshop. I thought it'd be an upgrade, and in some respects it is, but it's been giving me endless problems. I've also eventually come to the realisation that the mechanic is pretty clueless about troubleshooting software issues (I suppose he's more of an installer) so I'm pretty much on my own here. He's talking to his supplier but has been established these Chinese suppliers aren't usually helpful.
There are 2 things which I can't figure out:
1. On day 1, the bluetooth worked. I could pair my iPhone with the headunit through the unit's stock "bluetooth/dialer" app. But the unit wouldn't power back on after it was installed the first time. Mechanic told me the the unit came shipped with a wire switched around and once he corrected that problem, the headunit has been working pretty reliably. Bluetooth stopped working after this, however. I've done a factory reset, tried the RST button upfront but to no avail.
I've go to settings and searched for "bluetooth" (yes, noted that it's hidden on these units!) and made sure it's switched on. Occasionally, I see my phone's name appear on the "settings" page, but I can't pair it with the unit. It remains stuck on "pairing." It still searches endlessly in the bluetooth/dialer app.
Is there anything else I should look into?
2. Can the OS and firmware be upgraded on my unit? I unfortunately, have no idea what brand/model the headunit is. My car's pretty rare in my country (Renault Clio 2015) and the headunits on Aliexpress were for a lower-end version with different connectors. The workshop got a unit for my model through its Chinese contacts, but it came in a non-descript box. Here's the info I've gotten from the Settings screen:
Processor type: QuadCore-T3
Android Version: 7.1.1
MCU version: T5.3.21-63-9B1-C06101-180904
System version: V8.3.2_20180919.193359_ZH5-N
I'll be going through the forum to learn as much about Android headunits but would appreciate any help in the mean time.
Thanks!
Spent some time looking around the forums. Thought I'd log what I've discovered for others who may be searching for similar info.
To recap, I have an Android head unit with no branding. Initially, all I had was the info from the "about device" screen, which provided a bunch of numbers.
I got more information by downloading a hardware info app. There are a few but they generally work the same by providing you with more hardware info (ie. clues).
Discovered I have an Allwinner T3 P3 system. I'm sure I'm lumping several things together but it was enough info to search the forum with.
Discovered this wonderful thread which is generally about Android units based on the above chipset.
Within that thread I came across this one which was extremely helpful. It details how there are 3 types of Allwinner T3 P3 systems which are all different as far as firmware is concerned. Links to their respective firmware are provided, as well as some info on how to reset/recover the system. Glad I found this as I have a better idea how these things work, and more importantly, it cautions against what NOT to do (and risk bricking your headunit).
The the post also links a Russian site that has even more info on my unit from the Allwinner T3 P3 family. Will explore this next (thanks Google translate!).
Will also try to do a factory recover to see if I can fix the bluetooth problem. It worked on Day 1 so at the very least I know the hardware works. That said, who knows if the hardware was fried when the wires were switched around.
Solved the bluetooth problem. Answer was in the Russian thread posted above!
Thank you, just got a unit with same MCU version and your post has helped me identify this thing!
Hi Ultimax,
I have a small question. I have the same car as you ( a 2015 clio 4) and I'm wondering about the Canbus configuration to use to get the steering wheel boutons to work? Looked everywhere and nothing on this topic so I'm really waiting for your directions..

Hey!
Glad to help!
What headunit comes installed in your Clio 4? Is it a R-Link TomTom unit (without the USB port next to the screen) or the more basic MediaNav (with the USB port next to the screen)?
If it's the MediaNav headunit, you're in luck. There are quite a few aftermarket Android headunits which are supposedly plug and play, including steering wheel buttons. At least that's what's claimed. I know Pioneer Europe has a headunit which is a 1 for 1 replacement for the stock unit. It even comes with a new plastic front so it fits perfectly and a new wiring harness.
https://www.pioneer-car.eu/eur/products/sph-evo62dab-clio
If it's the R-Link TomTom unit, then I'm afraid you're out of luck. This is the version of Clio 4 I have unfortunately. I've searched high and low on the internet for a suitable wiring harness+CANBUS which would allow me to use the factory steering wheel buttons but couldn't find any. The closest I came was one I got from China through a local installer, but only the volume and channel up/down buttons worked. The Android headunit itself which came with the CANBUS was sh!t and I was tempted to go back to the factory unit. Only thing keeping me from doing so was I'd already spent too much time and money getting it to work somewhat.
However, I recently installed a new Pioneer headunit. My local installer managed to replace the Android unit with it. He couldn't get the steering buttons to work though. He said he'd have to custom program one which would be pretty costly. So, I've given up on using the factory steering wheel buttons.
A cheap workaround is to use an aftermarket steering wheel control kit. You attach new controls to your steering wheel (either clipped, glued or recessed into new holes drilled into your steering wheel). The controls are powered by a long-life battery. The control unit is paired wirelessly with a receiver which you connect to the your headunit via the KEY1/KEY2 (Pioneer calls them Input 1 and 2), ground and ACC wires. Most headunits have these wires.
This is the option I'm going for. My kit hasn't arrived yet but I'm optimistic it'll work.
FYI, this is the one I bought:
https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4000584816400.html?spm=a2g0s.9042311.0.0.317a4c4dfTx6k3
There are other designs too. Just search the site for "universal steering wheel control radio"
Hope this helps!

Help with Chinese multimedia stereo

Hello everybody.
I am from Greece and I am new here. I want make some questions about this cheap multimedia screens I bought a plug n play android for Ford focus 2008. Factory setting menu does work fine and I can't calibrate things. Ex background button color, mcu infos etc. Radio doesn't work fine, doesn't let you give name to station etc. Also the most annoying thing is that when you switch off the engine, car dash board stays on all night. When you switch on again, android doesn't start from the beginning booting logo etc, but it open from the last screen before I close the car. That's why I put the old stereo back. Also at factory settings with code 8888 when I choose the model of can bus, it doesn't have focus inside. Only mondeo, fiesta and 2 more. I read something about fake android and that I have to install a new firmware. I also know the fake android because I had same problem with old xiaomi cell phone that I bought from China. Any way. Can someone tell if I have fake android and if i have, where I can find the right firmware to download and install it?thanks a lot
(I can't find how to upload photos)

Hizpo 3C (Roco K706) Root and General Help

I picked up a Hizpo 3C from Aliexpress for my Honda Accord. Seemed like a nice little package with the custom bezel etc.
I am having a few issues with it, the most annoying being the Bluetooth not working as I had to remove my factory Nav/Tech info screen to put this in and was replacing that with the BT OBD II scanner and running Torque Pro on the head unit.
In short it will connect to my phone via BT just fine, but it either can't find, or finds and won't connect to the OBD II scanner nor my Radar detector. (If anyone can help specifically with this I can go into the details)
The BT issue and the fact that I cannot change anything on the main screen. I tried running Nova Launcher and setting it to default but the head unit just changes it back to the factory crap. This led me to start looking on this forum for rooting / rom options.
So the name given on the sales ad page is Hizpo 3C, but from what I can tell from CPUz is that it is a "Roco K706". I have tried searching here and really anywhere on the internet and didn't find anything about these nor the build numbers. Attached are images from my CPUz that I am hoping you may be able to shed some light on what I am working with and what options I may have to trouble shoot and/or root to change launcher, uninstall the bloat apps etc.
I would also like some help with how I could go about ensuring there is no preinstalled spyware/malware etc. before I start adding more than just google play.
And an explanation on the "faked" android versions I see mine say 11, but has API 29 , and if I double tap the "Android 11" in setting it then brings up a full screen that only displays "Android 10" which I thought was funny.

Did you ever figure this out? I have the same unit with the same issue.
Nope. Nope as you can see no replies here and after months of back and froth with the company they keep trying to have me do the same upgrade after I tell them its done. They say I can get a replacement but I have to send them EVERYTHING back to get another unit. Which now I don't think I want to do because you are moving closer to confirming my fears I would pay for that and get a new or refurb unit that will have the same problem. I am considering trying to return the whole thing for a refund.
Hi there, I think I just ordered the same unit. Did you reach anything regarding that unit?
Try update. Seller send me:
The system firmware link:

Not exactly related to the problems mentioned in this topic, but I bought a similar unit from Hizpo and one thing that drives me crazy is an annoying high-pitched noise coming from the speakers that makes my ears bleed. I ruled out all external factors (external interference, grounding issues etc.) and there seems to be no way to fix this. Do your units suffer from this as well or is mine just defective?
First connect to a power source at home.
If all ok then try to connect through a noise filter in auto

random question, I have a roco (k706) android 12 Api 31, I bought it 2 months ago and I was wondering if there are any updates, or who I contact to get them.
Currently I have:
Firmware: QF001.20220920.205721
MCU: QF01.V01.60.20220929.002121
Or it will be that before sending them they load the firmware and the newest MCU.
My problem is that when I connect the wifi it closes Android auto or Carplay and if I connect them again it disconnects me from the wifi.
And in case I need to activate Carletter, to whom do I have to send the QR to activate it again?

Programinė įranga: QF001.20220920.205721
MCU: QF01.V01.60.20220929.002121

Hi, could you send me that firmware?
And does anyone know the password fpr the factory reset?? Its not the usual 0000,8888,123456 nor my google password.
Another problem: how can i connect the head unit to my PC to use ADB? The head unit has 2 USB-A connectors. I tried an USB-A to USB-A Cable without success. Also i can´t see the usb connection dialouge on the head unit because the status bar doesn´t show any notifications...
What i wanted to do with ADB: i want to use Nova Launcher on my head unit but it can´t access the OEM "apps" like FM radio or DSP. Tasker says it nees "permission.manage_activity_stacks" to start those apps. So i will try to give nova launcher this permission over ADB. Or does anyone have another suggestion to solve this problem?
Best regards
