Is there any way to enter fastboot mode without turning off phone? - POCO M3 Questions & Answers

I have recently faced this issue that my poco m3 is not turning on, completely dead. I have encountered this issue 2 times now, so I applied the usual method, I waited for 2, 3 days to drain my battery out so I could use it again.
The third time I drain my battery out so I could flash other firmware. But in the process of unlocking the bootloader, when I turned off my phone so I could enter into fastboot mode, my phone is dead again, neither turning on nor going into fastboot mode.
I have now also realized that I cannot turn off my phone, or else have to wait for 2, or 3 days to drain my battery out to use it again. Now I'm tired as hell and have no energy left. Is there any way to enter into fastboot mode without turning off my phone?

Phone on, keep the power button pressed and volume down, the phone restarts, at the vibration release the power button.

Will sure try that, hope it would work.
Though It just came into my mind that next time instead of just turning on my phone, If I directly go into fastboot mode? Would it be possible after draining out my battery?

you can
Try with charger plugged in,but flashing a rom with a discharged battery is very risky.

How to power-off (for real)

I just received my DHD and as soon as I inserted the battery, it powered on by itself. I plugged in mains for a long charge cycle (I don't want to use it while charging).
I want to power off for real but it seems that when I press the power button even for prolonged time, it just goes to standby. I want to charge it while powered-off. How do I do this?
I didn't have the chance to play with Android before so here I am asking easy questions I guess.
Try with this:
Tap the power button on the upper side of phone for few seconds, then you will see on the screen new window with three possibilities - power off, aeroplane mode and restart. Choose power off. Then you can charge your phone.
Other possibility - work/play with your phone till the battery is fully drained and the phone will switch off itself.
Hope this helps.
Regards.
go to settings applications and disable fast boot

Thank you all. That's what I was doing but I guess that the screen was locked and it didn't work. As soon as I unlocked the screen and performed this procedre it worked. I just didn't want to start working with the phone until it is fully charged and that's why I was trying to switch off without entering the phone.
If you don't disable HTC Fastboot you phone isn't really off, just hibernating.

Good point but I had to go through all setup steps until I am able to configure this setting. Anyway, I was planning to leave the phone charging untouched for several hours but I guess that wouldn't be possible.
My phone boots back into clockwork recovery even when fastboot is disabled.
Apparently the DHD uses the recovery to display the charging LED (orange or green), so when you replace the recovery with CWM attaching the charger when the phone is off will start CWM.

Factory Mode LOOP

Hi! Every time i turn off my p6800, when turn on don't see "samsung glalaxy tab 7.7" and the boot animation but start the "factory mode". I i turn off it turn automatically on after 4-5 seconds and visualize the "factory mode".
I try to flash with odin, but for the first boot it's ok, if i turn off the device and turn on the problem is the same.
anyone have this problem or know its fix?
I had this happen. I found that fully draining the battery fixed it, I haven't found what makes it happen in the first place though.
To completely drain the battery you'll have to turn it back on after it turns off from low power. I'd recommend doing the first big drain by flashing something in odin to get it booted (I just flashed recovery instead of the whole rom), then running it down till it turns off. Then power it back on, just the factory mode screen is okay now and wait till turns off again. This is to avoid having it on the factory mode screen for hours on end, which would probably cause burn-in.
Once it gives no response to pressing the power button, plug it in to charge, hopefully when it's charged a bit you can turn it on and it will be working again.
This problem made me really wish for a removable battery.
My son had this issue for some time ago. And draining battery didn't help indeed. But after about a week of this looping, it randomly became possible to boot through the loop holding the power button. And after a month or so, I can say that the device is almost self-cured the disease, and the "factory mode" is quite rare seen now=)

By the coincidence, is your batt serial no beginning with BD? If so, look on the battery. Is it swollen a bit? If so - call samsung, they will replace battery free of charge.
If not, try to connect phone to charger, insert battery, go to recovery and make full wipe.

it might be a power button issue
ok, this may be tricky.
while keeping volume down and home - slice battery in. If phone would boot in download mode (even just for a while) - then it will be power button issue.
it boots up on download mode for seconds and then powered off again....
Im digging up this post because this is the same problem i had.
I ended up removing the power button all together, carefully popped it off the motherboard. The phone no longer boots for a couple secs and powers off again so i think the power button was the issue. Now i have the problem of powering on the phone. I tried booting into download mode (to have the reboot option) by holding volume down+home while plugging it in but nothing happens, all i get is the battery charging icon. Ive been into download mode before i removed the button, but like the OP, it would only be a second or 2 before rebooting. Am i doing the correct procedure for download mode? Perhaps my timing is off? Any suggestions?
At least i do get the battery charge and it stays until i unplug the phone, no more boot loop!

Ok so i managed to get the phone to power up without going into download mode using this method i found on youtube. No boot loop and fully powered up now, the only thing is that im stuck on the lock screen. My friend cant remember his pin so i cant get in, the only option left now is to boot into recovery and do a factory reset yes? Well, how can i do that without a power button? Any suggestions?

[SOLVED] Stuck in boot loop: No image, short vibration every ~5s after battery drain

SOLVED: had display repalced.
Hey there!
I've had this Zenfone 3 Zoom ZE553KL for almost 2,5 years now and this is the first real issue I had with it.
One night I went to bed with ~30% battery remaining. When I woke up the phone was dead and holding the power button only made a short vibration. No image on screen.
Here's the things I tried:
Plugging it in: THe charging LED lights up and the phone vibrates quickly every 5 seconds or so
Leaving the battery to drain for 24h: The phone still starts vibrating when I press (or hold) the power button
Holding PWR and VOL+: The phone starts this vibrating cycle agian
Connecting to a PC via ADB: adb devices shows nothing. fastboot devices shows nothing. The phone had USB debugging enabled.
I did those things with and without the SIM card.
Any ideas how to troubleshoot from here?
Cheers!

Not much you can do. Try opening the phone and disconnect the battery for few minutes.

Disconnected for 5 min. After reconnecting, same behavior.
Will try leaving for 1h, although I doubt it would make any difference. After 5 min all caps should be discharged...

The storage is encrypted. The only way to recover the data is booting the current firmware, right? The last backup is a few weeks old...

Yea, it's encrypted by default. No way to recover it really if you don't boot the device into the os.
Also if the battery disconnection doesn't help, try disconnecting different parts that can be disconnected, like the screen, changing port, cameras etc. One at a time.
As a last resort will be to try to bypass the battery or change it.
I had something similar. I plugged it in and left it for several hours (I think about four or five) and then it turned on.
Mine did NOT vibrate every few seconds though like yours but maybe worth a shot.
Good luck and hope you get it working!
It was the display. Had it replaced and now the phone is working fine.
Thanks, guys!

I accidentally dropped my ROG 3. The screen had no scratches or any cracks at all, but the screen had no display. It's totally black. I can hear the sound and the vibration when I hold the power button. No charging LED lights. PC could not detect the phone. Thanks for this post. I need to replace the screen, and it's really expensive.

Poco m3 turned off during an update

I am sorry if this is a dumb thread I am just worried. I was watching my Poco M3 update up to 60%(my battery was on 68% before starting the update) then I started to watch TV and didn't pay much attention to the phone. When I looked at it it was off and i thought that maybe it is just in the process of rebooting or its already on the lock screen .Because I thought it may still be rebooting I just placed my finger on the fingerprint reader because I didn't want to risk turning it of by pressing the power button. My phone didn't respond at all. I haven't tried to hold the power button because I'm worried that its still in the process of updating. What should I do ?
Never mind. I had to hold the power button for 10 seconds and it turned on. I am sorry for wasting your time. I was so worried since it was a new phone and I couldn't afford a new one. I am sorry again.
This post was usefull, it happened to me too. The phone wouldn't even show an image when connected to a charger. I waited for a while, entered Fastboot succesfully and then, after the second (on the first one remained stuck on the MIUI screen) 10s power button push, it succesfully booted
It happened also to me during update to 12.0.8.0, but I used Power and Vol+ and then Reboot to System.
It was a moment of anxiety.
It happened to me to. It is a branch new phone and I got so worried that I might just have bricked it. Fk Xaomi.
just happended with me right its on MIUI Screen hope its get on
Update: Just Booted In Fastboot Its on Screen now
Same thing just happened to me too. My phone is not turning on at all. I tried holding the power button for 10 seconds as discussed here, tried fast booting, tried connecting charger and starting. Nothing is working. Going into panic mode.
**UPDATE***
After leaving the phone alone for 24 hours in which time it was completely unresponsive to anything I tried, I connected the charger and just pressed power button and it decided to just start normally. POCO needs to address this situation.
**UPDATE***
Phone is not responding again after restrating. I give up on this phone.
