Help, going back to Stock. - Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 Guides, News, & Discussion

I downloaded stock firmware SM-T820_XAC_T820XXU3CTD5
that is the latest Android 9 (Pie)
When extracted it's 4 files, so i'm a bit confused which one goes where.

Does this look about right?

but first I had to use the Factory Stock Recovery to wipe data/factory reset, and wipe cache.
If not it kept on tripping the boot and encryption issue, and it forces to install a stock firmware again.
The key thing really was the Tabs3_oreo_forced+encryption_disabler.zip
Once you have that flashed the rest of the steps are standard.

Yes. You can.
Download twrp klte version, odin, samsung drivers, and superuser.zip.
Put superuser.zip on internal sd.
Open odin
Connect phone
Put twrp file in pda slot
Hit start
Be ready to hold vol up and home key as phone reboots. (Sometimes twrp wont stick, so you do this to get it to stick).
Flash superuser.zip
Reboot. Tada. Rooted.
Be advised, I do not know what roms work with this phone.
I do not post files, but you can find all you need here on xda. Theres an Odin/twrp package on here i think, and superuser.zip is everywhere. So are the samsung drivers you need.
Just did this to my nieces Straight Talk phone and my sprint S5.
Twrp 3.0.2-1 fixed flashing issues i had on 3.0.2-2 btw.

Stuck on bootanimation after OB3 update | Data Loss

Hello,
I recently updated to OB3 update on Oneplus 5.
Phone stuck on bootanimation for 30 minutes. I restarted it, same result !
Went into stock recovery only to see all data gone , some random folders are showing (check attachments).
Immediately flashed TWRP.
I have not tried anything as of yet so as to preserve data.
I have access to ADB , recovery(blu_spark's TWRP) and fastboot.
Please tell me how to proceed and save the data.

need help installing custom rom

im trying to install a custom rom on my mi 9t. its not the first time that ive done this, but now its all gone wrong. I have unlocked the device, flashed twrp, and got the rom/gapps ready to go, but when i go to install it i get 2 errors, "E:unhandled flag: wrappedkey" and "E:unable to decrypt fbe device". and just to make things worse, i came to the brilliant conclusion that the errors were from the old rom interferring with the new one that i was trying to install, so i deleted the system partition and wiped my os.
feel free to call me as many names as you like, so long as you also provide some help aswell haha.
thanks guys

If you have twrp I stalled, then you just need to factory reset in recovery, format partition, flash dmverity, flash ROM and optionally root. There is nothing you could do wrong if you choose proper ROM for your device - each ROM has instruction what you need for it to work properly

[a207F] Rooting?

After a few failed attempts and some net digging, i decided to downgrade my firmware to an early android 9 that i grabbed from samlabs.
i figured from this "workaround" that i can finally get magisk working with my device

but due to my limited knowledge, i don't exactly know what he mean't here, like... how do i flash something with a odin tarball???
and how do i even extract the files mentioned?
can anyone lay it to me straight?
Github Thread
PS: my bootloader is already unlocked, i tried the simple method that makes sense to me and just flashed a patched AP of the aforementioned Firmware but unfortunately hit
the usual dead end (Secure check fail, recovery.img).
Note that the bootloader with Android 10 and later on the Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2019) [SM-T290] is suffering from this same issue.

It is about a different device, but may work.
Just replace the aboot.mbn.lz2 and vaultkeeper.mbn.lz2 in a tarball (.tar file) with aboot.mbn.lz2 and vaultkeeper.mbn.lz2 from last Android 9 tarball (.tar file)
I don't remember which one contains these files, so find one with them

Can't install any custom rom

I tried this Roms but i am always stuck on bootloop. I am using Android 11 A205FXXUACUF3

What Android version did you use before trying flashing these ROMs? It's possible that you need to flash a package which will contain Android 11 vendor.
