I have customize main.cpl file in windows 10 using reshacker but the issue is when i replace the old file with the newest there's no changes and the old one is showed.
How can i resolve this issue

the file name is welcomehead.96.png just change that in your windows directory and it will change the look...
If your trying to cook a ROM it is located in the SYS --> Redist_dpi_96_resh_240_resv_320 folder...hope this helps

But after I replace .png extention of the original file by .bak extention, when I put the new file to windows, the old file will come back and I encounter the problem again......Thanks for your help

I have wm6.5 on my titan and love, but wish I could get the 4 icons across, and 6 across when the device is slide open. But I can't find the info or cab anywhere (well none that works, I have tried the 'sex' one but it does nothing).

UPDATE!!! I found the perfect files to switch to 4 across, and then 5 across when keyboard is out.
Just find the files in windows folder and edit the properties and uncheck ROM and readonly or whatever is keeping it from bee'ing overwritten. Use Resco exploerer or a suitable file explorer to do this.
Then just edit the file names below and remove the '.txt' extension so they are just '.cpr' at the end.
Then just copy the two cpr files and two image files to the windows folder, wait a minute then soft reset.
cheers!!! (only been tested on a TITan with RyanMoguls 6.5 light ROM)
I found that the xperia phone has the same thing as a cab file. But since the resolution is different I can't use those files.
Nobody have the solution? save everybody some time?

I'm trying to get Windows 8 Dev preview installed on an old tablet PC that doesn't meet the minimum specs. I'm not worried about performance as I'm not using the tablet for anything anyway and would just like to see how well it may run on there. It currently runs Windows 7 and is passable with that.
Does anyone know how to skip the minimum hardware requirements check for CPU and RAM so I can try and get this installed?

try this (for windows 7, but may work on 8):
1. Extract the contents of DVD ISO image to hard disk drive
2. Download and install HEX editor AptEdit Pro with HEX Editor plugin
3. Open winsetup.dll using the HEX editor. You can finf winsetup.dll inside the /source/ folder of the copied installation files.
4. Search following HEX string inside the file:
77073D7801
5. Replace the above HEX string with the below one:
E90400000
6. Click on Save to save the changes you have made
7. Run the setup.exe file and the installation should proceed without any RAM limit error messages
You are done.
For user who wants to start installation from bootable DVD instead, replace the winsetup.dll in the ISO with patched version, and then burn the ISO to disc. That’s it. you can follow any of above three ways to bypass 512 MB RAM limit while installing Windows Vista, Windows Server 2008 or Windows 7 on your system.

Will this work for bypass processor check ? i'm with a pentium 4 and i have an error message ... :x
It won't work, even if you can bypass the install CPU-check (hint: use OTG). Win8 will still fail upon boot with an error. I already tried this on an old laptop with OTG.

I'm sorry if this has already been threaded but for the life of me I have not been able to change the alert tones on wp7 mango on HD2. I have got touchxperience and touchxplorer, tried emailing the file but I cannot find the downloaded file on the phone. Touchxperience 1.3 does not seem to work on my mango phone and I cannot find a 1.6 version to download I look through my volitile file in Application data in xplorer but cannot get the file to copy and paste in windows to rename it. can anyone help me?
1 Install touch xplorer to device
2 Ensure that you have no media synced onto your device
3 Sync the alert tone you'd like to use to the deivce
4 Launch touch xplorer and navigate to content folder of zune
5 Locate the file you want (will not be known as the filename on your PC, which is why it's a good idea to not have any other media synced to your device)
6 Change the name of the file to "Alert-01" or 02 etc... upto 10
7 Use touch xplorer to copy the file and then navigate to the windows directory on your device
8 Paste the file and select Yes when prompted to over write existing file - NOTE that the original tone will be overwritten.
