hello guys how to install clockskin on smart watch android 8.1 i try to copy watchskin but its doesnt show on the watch please help. the watch is from china
You must install Universal Launcher then build an folder on your smartwatch root named clockskin you get clocksins out of the net for free as Archive these archives you extract to the clockskin folder on your phone root when your phone ask you what launcher should be used click watchclockskin launcher every time
Then set all settings in clockskin launcher and now when you hold the display for 2-3 seconds you can swipe left and right to set a skin then one click on display set the skin.
I’ve an full Android 8.1 too and have the same problem weeks ago. When you’ve questions ask you’re welcome
I use dateimanager+ there I can get downloaded skins out of google drive ore from my server into the watch via ftp that can be on the app dateimanager+ ore named file manager+

Saw a method a while ago for creating a portable android dev environment, however, i decided that i would post my method which i have used. So far, it seems to work rather well. I have not fully tested it though, and i will post any problems i find with it.
1. Create a directory for all files and folders (for instance, "Android_Dev")
2. Inside of that folder. Create a 2 more directories, one should be called "CommonFiles", and the other something sensible like "AndroidSDK"
3. First things first, download jPortable from here and install it to your "Android_Dev\CommonFiles" location
4. Now, Download Eclipse Portable from here and simply set it to install to "Android_Dev"
5. Finally. Head over to the google dev page right here and download the latest ADT bundle. DO NOT EXTRACT IT YET
6. Once you have downloaded the bundle, open up the .zip file, and copy the contents of the "sdk" folder to your "Android_Dev/AndroidSDK" folder
7. Now everything should be configured. Just open up the eclipse installation (Android_Dev\EclipsePortable\EclipsePortable.exe) and let Eclipse load
8. If it doesnt ask you to point to an Android SDK, just go to Window>Preferences>Android and point to the AndroidDev\AndroidSDK folder
9. You should now be able to access the Eclipse SDK manager and download the rest of the resources you will need through that!
DISCLAIMER: I have not extensively tested this, I simply installed it into my laptop (needed the software, didnt have admin rights). It may or may not work for you, if it works, drop a thanks! If it doesn't, reply below with the problem, or any fixes if you find one!
Issues
Doesn't use the latest Eclipse version
If you look for the installed watchfaces in ifile, they seem to be coded,
Is there maybe a way to add new ones or edit existing watchfaces via ifile?
There are also a bunch of preference files, did someone already take a look at those files?
Location ifile:
var/mobile/Containers/Data/Application/F0608D21
Thx

Those work perfect as we have told you... you are doing something wrong...
I dont understand why you dont follow the 3 easy steps that are explained in the Clocksking Threat.
1. Download de clockskin ( should be .ZIP or .RAR)
2. Extrat it to your computer ( you will get a new folder with stuff inside)
3. Make a folder in the root of your watch called ClockSkin (Be careful with Capital Letters, Must be as I have wroten here) (Sdcard/ClockSkin)
4. Drop the folder you have gotten from the .ZIP to this new folder (the folder not the files)
And that is....
As easy as copy/paste
Thank u all...
Thank u all very much for you help finally got it sorted will there be new watch faces getting made and are there anymore easy upgrades i could do to this watch and again thank u all on this forum for being so helpful really do appreciate it.
Hi, I recently bought a 2017 shield and Im now running the latest Android TV but to my dismay I haven't been able to figure out how to change the background from the, in my opinion, tacky wallpaper of the green blood cells? Is this possible at this time?

This is not my work but here you go:
Anyone interested in a tutorial on how to change the default wallpaper on your Nvidia Shield TV? (And possibly Android TV in general, have to figure that out first)
Root required..
Step 1: Edit your own wallpaper image so that it is named nv_wallpaper.png with dimensions of 1920x1080. Don't just rename a jpg to png, convert it.
Step 2: Back-up the NvCustomize.apk file in the /system/priv-app/NvCustomize/ folder to a secure location. Or use a backup tool.
(Note that when you copy the file back, the permissions have changed and you need to change them back to chmod 644 (for the apk) and chmod 755 (for the folders, which you don't need to backup per se)
Step 3: Copy a second version of the NvCustmize.apk to a location you can access on your PC or an easy to remember location you can access with a file explorer. Not all file explorers let you write to the apk when it's still in the system folder. So copy it anywhere else.
Step 4: Somehow merge the new PNG you made with the NvCustomize.apk, without decompiling or extracting the apk. You can use Winrar, but DON'T extract it. leave the file intact and just copy the nv_wallpaper.png to the location of the same png in the file and overwrite it. Done.
You can also do this on the device itself, with some effort. I use X-Plore for that (in the ATV Play store). To open the file as a zip and copy the png inside that apk.
the correct folder inside the APK is: NvCustomize.apk/res/drawable-xhdpi-v4/
put the file there (within winrar or the file explorer on the device) and overwrite.
Step 5: Copy the modified NvCustomize.apk back to the /system/priv-app/NvCustomize/ folder and overwrite it.
Step 6: Check the permissions of that file. In X-plore you can long press the apk, scroll down and select permissions. There you must see 644 in the bottom right. Or all Read checked and one write (owner) checked. Owner should be root.
Step 7: Reboot!
Done.
Hope that helps!
Thanks, that certainly does help, but heavens is that convoluted for such a seemingly simple request.

Follow up to my problem of the macOS mojave inspired stock dynamic wallpaper not working, I used file explorer in ADB tools to browse system folder and there is only a 3.5MB video there for dynamic wallpaper. The other 10 video files that correspond to different time of day are missing so I'm assuming that's why it doesn't work. You can find those files from Mi9 online. Obviously I can't copy them back because my phone isn't rooted. It's really dumb the ROM is incomplete like this.
To check you can use ADB/fastboot tools and browse to system->media->dynamic video
also wondering where they are?
