Hi all. I made for myself a small catalog of playlists with channels from all over the world. Thought it might be of interest to you. The catalog is divided into several sections: Languages, countries, topics.
Management is simple. Select the desired section, say the country of America and a playlist opens with the channels of the selected country.
The directory does not have a built-in player, so you need to install it as well. The basic version uses the VLC player. And the new one already has a choice of one of three players.
I am not a professional programmer. Please do not scold me for bugs
I use it on my phone and tv
The basic version is available on Google Play: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=io.kodular.mail28112018.WorldTV
Not yet published version at the link: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1-O0lpuaztk8UhRYSjQiErhh_AmZU7Cgi/view?usp=sharing
or https://disk.yandex.ru/d/ueRezmExbkFn0w
I will be glad to your comments and ideas
Is there a link to the latest version?
thanks

Hi,
I can't play MP3's as ringing tone. Also can't play MPEG & AVI within Windows Media Player. Could someone please help. I have only recently purchased my XDA, so any pointers would be muchly appreciated.
I have updated to the new rom version 172181 and still have this problem.
Could someone please advise.
Many thanks.
Steve.
Windows Media Player doesn't support AVI and Mpeg formats on Pocket Pc devices.
To play mpeg formats you need PocketTv or others programs.
To play AVI files you need a BetaPlayer or Simply install Album Program from XDA2.
Also,You can't play Mp3's as ringtone because you need to convert first them to Wav files or Midi..To convert use any Wav-Mp3 Converter on i-net.
Good Luck!
Im currently looking into and seriously considering writing a program that allows more formats of music/sound to be used as ringtones, i quite like the sound of MMF and MOD files and i think they wud sound cool as ringtones. I hear that windows mobile uses VOIP to handle incoming calls so im hoping that the API is accessible and i will be able to write a program which "monitors" phone activity and will intercept incoming calls etc. If anyone has any knowledge on this that they are willing to share please do so
Marc
yeah that would be usefull of cause most people just use converter programs on the pc to make all those formats into wma and use them that way
because it would require some programming to play the good old mod formats because you need the sample file aswell to play the patteren of the mods
True, there are some pocket pc MOD Dlls though that i could perhaps make use of, they may not be freeware but a lot of applications distribute fmodce.dll so i could just make use of that if it were present on the users device. Id also like to see the midi mapper on the xda changed as well coz in my opinion its pretty crap!

Download the Lemmings Clone from Jacko Biker.
It contains full source code - that does also include a MOD Player LIB.
( eVC 3 and 4 compatible )
That is a good starting point to improve this LIB ( However, it works already very good and stable )
Cheers,
Scorpion
ok, ill take a look at it sometime today. is there any requests for what people would want in my app so i can put it into the design?

If you try are looking for lemmings you'll find it has vanished from nearly everywhere, apparently thanks to SONY contacting the site owners to have it removed.

Anyway, I found a chinese site which still has it. If that happens to vanish, I've got a copy if anyone needs it. (FYI It's not brilliant - seems to have no volume control and exiting requires a soft boot).

Hey there!
I want to listen to a specific radio channel (P3, a danish radio channel) but it just so happens, that i cannot find it preloaded in any radio apps, and they only broadcast in .wma.. So what i am looking for is an app, that will let me enter the URL for their stream (.pls) and then play it for me. I found radio apps that supposedly support .wma, but they don't allow for custom URLs. I also found apps that support custom URLs, but not wma..
Prease Halp!
Hi m8 - the app i use to stream nearly ANY type of radio station including wma is an app called Xiia Lite.
Ive blogged about it over at my blog

However this feature, never heard of it.

Re 2.2-Froyo: I also see at: http://developer.android.com/sdk/android-2.2-highlights.html
"New Platform Technologies
New media framework (Stagefright) that supports local file playback and HTTP progressive streaming
Provides new APIs for audio focus, routing audio to SCO, and auto-scan of files to media database. Also provides APIs to let applications detect completion of sound loading and auto-pause and auto-resume audio playback"
Not sure how that's been implemented so far maybe someone can recommend an app in the interim..
Just download Winamp, have it install Winamp Remote during the install, set up an account, add your music library to your Winamp Remote database, login on your phone and enjoy. Been streaming my library for about two years now.

Personally I prefer Winamp but what about cloud based apps like zumodrive & dropbox etc.. for when your pc is not constantly on?

True, never really thought about that because my PC is always on.
I've used the aforementioned two for any file type including unencrypted music files, anyone try mspot: http://www.mspot.com/music/learn_overview.php

This music player is not fully functional!!! It does not (as of yet) actually play music from the device. The purpose of the app is to assure complete compatibility between all devices. I will be updating as frequently as I can due to being in college. As I find bugs (either myself or if they have been reported) or enhance various sections of the Music Player. If you have any knowledge of how to read music from the device and list it, please feel free to help out. If there are any bugs or if something doesn't look quite right on your device, let me know so that I can fix it. Tell me what you guys think

I wanted to program a music player and app for my computer, I just wanted to know as I plan on using Java programming for the Android app which language would be best for a desktop version? I was thinking Java would work fine? But is there any barriers or hurdles I should consider when doing this and is there maybe a different language that would work better?
I plan on making the android app first which will be a simple music player and playlist creator, basically building something for my own tastes and not necessarily to monetize, and then a desktop app running on Windows 10 to play and organize playlists that would be able to sync to the android device and transfer music directly to it, (Sort of like iTunes for Apple devices)
Thank you for your help I am still new at programming and want to start this off right and pick the right languages to be the best for cross platform work ^-^
