Flashed IN2025 C.11 on my IN2023, any way to revert? - OnePlus 8 Pro Questions & Answers

So, I managed to install IN2025 C.11 ROM on my IN2023 (downloaded wrong ROM via Oxygen Updater), now was trying to flash latest C.15 2023 update but it just fails.
Is there an easy way to flash back the IN2023 ROM?
Pretty sure it was working on Android 11.
Thanks!!!

There are rollback packages around but they will wipe your data.
So i would advice using MSM Tool.

Hi everyone, as only a few versions of unbrick tool are available here and that they allow to rollback to specific versions of Oxygen OS I decided to search for more and succeeded in that.
I managed to decrypt some of them (the most recent) but also find some that I was unable to crack that I still share here in case someone find a way to get their password. I also linked to 5.1.3 version decrypted by @Titokhan here and linked to 4.7.2 version decrypted by @prime8852 on AFH
As the instructions and Qualcomm drivers are already available here, I don't feel a need to rewrite them.
You can ask questions here on how to use and issues, however I might not be able to answer immediately.

Hi, of course it (and earlier versions) does work on Windows 10
This is my second-time un-bricking a one plus 5t and just wanted to confirm that the 9.0.7 version works.
For those who are still getting boot-loop after completion of the un-bricking process, if you notice that the time where the logo would stop is different for every loop, just let it loop over and over again until it follows through.
This happened to the latest one I have un-bricked.
Previously used 5.1.7 but it no longer worked when I tried using it again.
Hope this helps for future "un-brickers". Thank you again!

Hi there,
No.
As far as I'm aware the only unbrick tools that had separated files instead of the .ops one are very old versions meant for OnePlus 3 and 3T that will rollback to Marshmallow.

Possible Solution for OnePlus 8T CyberPunk OTA Problems

Hello everyone, I have an idea for the OnePlus 8T CyberPunk Edition. As far as I know, MSM Download Tools only flashes 1 of 2 slots (a or b - I don’t know for sure). Everyone knows that there is Fastboot firmware for Oneplus 8T (not CyberPunk). Has anyone tried to flash both slots? Perhaps this will fix the problem of OTA updates. Please write me a message if you can do this.

Well i don't have OnePlus 8T but i do know that you can flash both a & b slots using your respective MSM TOOL,you just have to click verify first and then wait for a minute then click enum and start flashing.
I profoundly like your dedicated abilities as the post you distributed has some incredible data which is very valuable for me.

Oxygen OS 12 to Color OS 12.1

Im a OP 8 Pro user coming from oppo find x2 pro , and im having a lot of issues with the new software , no notification badges appearing at all no matter what settings are applied , non customizable AOD , No Themes , Heavy power saving , all of that are ruining the experience to me , it was more comfortable with Color OS on my Oppo , so is there any way to install it instead of Oxygen OS?
i would suggest going back to oos11.

How to do so? And will it feel old to have 11 instead of 12? As im new to OP8 pro and it was already 12 when i bought it , also will 11 solve all of these issues?
Thanks for replying

OOS12 looks better but everything else is better in OOS11.
But OOS12 is not as bad as you describe. Maybe your phone is on an beta of OOS12. You might wanna check your software version.
I guess you bought a used phone, because im pretty sure the OP8Pro gets shipped with Android 10.
I would go for a fresh start and rollback to OOS11 using MSM Tool.

Where to download it? How to make sure its the right version for my device and wont brick it? Can i install it directly over OOS 12?
You can find all these information easily on google. Im not willing to post links from outside of xda.
And yes you can install color os directly.

lighting up candles for them 🕯🕯🕯
[One Plus 8, One Plus 8 Pro, One Plus 8T]
1. As i see, most of cases were caused by flashing (in fact official) files through fastboot mode.
2. Probably, but i can be wrong, it's flashing through some... tools like all-in-one tool OR without awareness that there are xbl files for DDR4 and DDR5. On this forum there's topic where one smart guy wrote all things which users should know before flashing. YES, i know that putting in one package two versions of xbl file is stupid move...
3. I unpacked OOS13 Beta and i saw, that there's no more two versions of xbl files, so from OOS13 this problem shouldn't exist (atleast i hope).
true.. but i was using a simple fastboot flash from a tutorial from xda which i thought to be way safer than flashing hard-style with MSM tool
i even rant out and offended anyone replying to me, im so fckd up like that.. sorry "Nimueh" if you reading this, my appologies, its just that i paid much money on this phone, am experienced with flashing and never would have guessed an issue like that

We had other threads here talking about this issue a lot. I would be very happy if you could solve this issue. But the problem is not the we cant enter EDL Mode, the problem is that your RAM is dead. You wont fix a piston seizure with jump start spray.

As wrote on another thread, there is no proof that ram is dead, my guess is that flashing wrong xbl, ram can't be intialized and the phone won't start. On telegram i read that someone with 8t could enter edl mode by shorting test pins on Mobo and recovered his 8t. Some Chinese guy used engeering cable to enter edl.

and thats why this thread stays for further clarification, no matter how hard one wants to have it closed
+ the thread that lead to this issue, yes i mean the one where it is explained how to flash stock rom through adb and fastboot, is closed for commenting guess because many people encontered this isse
than again, why is it closed so nobody can see that this method can lead to death, thus resulting in countless dead phones where one cant even complain at the thread that lead his phone to death

I read a lot about potential methods to unbrick but for 6 months we dont have anything that works and nobody proofed that he unbricked his device. The only reasons i am against another and another thread is that we loose calrity and that you give people false hope.

I dont "want" you thread to be closed i state my opinion, we need to have clarity on this topic and not a lot of useless information aside from "dont brick you device by flashing the wrong image". At least as long we dont have anything that helps.
The main thread that i post everytime i give flashing advice is still alive:

It should be the first sticky in every forum for each device that is affected.
Threads without the advice should be closed or the first post should be the advice on "how to not kill your device".
As i said, dont give people false hope. Like the chinese dude etc.
This problem is known for nearly 7 months and we would already know if there is something to do about it.

Oneplus 8 Pro.. update possibilities..??

I have a oneplus 8 pro.
The current firmware version I have installed on my phone is EU: IN2023_11.F.62 which is the European version
Can it be updated with version IN: IN2021_11.F.63 (Indian version) or with GLO: IN2025_11.F.63 (Global version)?
If so... how?
why not update to IN2023_11_F.63?

Because I know that the Indian versions have not disabled the call recording service depending on the region (Maybe I don't know well...)
And I really need this service without constantly looking for alternatives to activate it with every firmware update
OK. You can convert to global and India. There are Tutorials on Here.
If i remember right simply do a local Update with the according ZIP.
