Hello Everyone,
I have what is sold as a "Android GPS Navigation Box". I plan to use it with a video interface on my E61 BMW. I've tested everything and it works, but I'd like to root the device and *hopefully* find some custom roms. Here is the company website:
http://www.cardvdnavi.com/Andnroid-GPS
This is labeled as a GPS-900. They have the same unit with direct interfaces for Kenwood, JVC, and Pioneer head units.
It is a Allwiner A7 t3_p1 CPU. I'm not sure if I should be looking here in Android Head units or maybe in the tablet forum?
Any and all help is much appreciated!
Here's a copy of the manual
Nothing?
I’ve just inherited a car with an Android 8.1 head unit. All I can see is it’s an 8227l unit. Can someone tell me what unit it is and if I can update it at all and get some info about it? Or is it easier to pull it out and see if there are details on the back of the unit.
Not to worry. I changed some search details and found it on eBay. Anyone know if these things are updatable?

I installed the Joying JY-BO124N3 Android head unit which works great. The problem I'm having is the car is displaying metric units on start up. To fix this, I have to go into the head unit settings and change to imperial/American units which will then display the correct units on the dash/climate control. The headunit itself always displays the correct Imperial units (mph, F, etc). I contacted the manufacturer who said it wasn't possible to permanently change through the head unit. The Eunavi Android head unit in my Toyota doesn't have this problem so I'm assuming the problem is with the BMW. Is there anyway I can permanently program/code out metric units so only Imperial information is displayed on my dash?
I did a review on the head unit and show this problem at 3:23:

Bump
Anyone?
I can’t help other than to say I had the same issue with my BMW E90 and an Eonon unit so it seems like this might be an E90 thing with these aftermarket head units?

Ah, thanks for the reply. This is super helpful. I'm just relieved to hear that someone (unfortunately) had the same issue as me. If my Joying and your Eonon are doing the same thing, then I can pretty much narrow down that it's on BMW's end.
Hi All,
I've bought a new Android Head-Unit for my car, it is an Android 12 based device but I'm not able to understand if it is an MTCD, MTCB or anything else.
Attached are two screens with the device details, any hints on what it is or what I should look for?
PS: the unit is available on Amazon, but I cannot find more details anywhere.
Thanks!!
No one can put me on the right way to properly identify this head unit?
Hey guys,
So I was interested in getting the Teyes CC3 head unit for my 2013 Accord EX-L that comes with dual screen. Teyes doesn’t offer compatibility with the trim of my car since it only supports the single screen model. But I came across the Ossuret head unit which is compatible with my car and was wondering if I could apply their canbus decoder onto the Teyes head unit or any canbus decoder from AliExpress onto the head unit. If you guys have any solution or information that would be a great help.
Similar question. Anyone ?
Why not asking Teyes if they support that specific CAN box?
They're selling an universal unit so that should be a legitimate question.

I contacted them, but they just said custom harness. From my research though the accord uses BNR. No way for me to know till i try so hopefully when my harness comes it'll work.
