You can try to use certain codes to see if your phone has indeed been 'tapped'.

Reading carrier information from SIM card

I have some code in my app that reads the pocketpc device id, phone number and carrier information.
When I access the SIM I can get the phone number fine but the carrier information comes back as a blank string, like 17 space characters or something.
I am using SimGetRecordInfo and SimReadRecord from CellCore.dll.
Can post code if necessary.
Hello,
Can you please let me know how can u fetch Phone number from SIM ??
Which address u have used for querying simReadrecord ?
Thanks in Advance.

Not sure if this applies here, but i.e. in Norway, the phone number is not stored on the SIM.. so wether you can extract it or not depends on your operator.. .. But if it's stored... you could for instance use SmsGetPhoneNumber

Sorry for a tangent question.
The guide linked by OP is for ALE-L23 model, but would it work for ALE-L21? If that is unlikely, are there any guides for ALE-L21?
Finally, other than the model number, what else is important to match-up when trying to install custom roms?

what link?
very important -> model number (ale-l21 must be ale-l21 and not ale-l02 because they have another chipset)
important but fixable -> location (c432 must be c432 and not c034 (making things up))
also important but fixable -> dual sim and single sim
something to take into consideration -> android version
so if you have the next version ale-l21c432b564 don't flash ale-l02c69b049 over it

My phone is ALE-L23C605B140, so all sorts of different from what I see in those guides. Is it possible for me to downgrade/upgrade to a version that's compatible first, or do I just need to wait for a guide that works specifically for my phone?
My phone is also dual sim, and running Android 5.0.1 if that helps.

[Really need help] I've lost my efs file. Could anyone help me?

I deleted my efs file by mistake. I have tried flashing firmware, but it didn't work. SO could anyone tell me how I can fix it? I'm really worried, or can anybody send me an efs.img to me? My email address is [email protected], please.
I think your baseband and imei is null right ??
Read this
https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-grand-2/themes-apps/null-imei-t3505543
@abbody It does work but it will result in having same IMEI to other people.
After using the fix You can change the IMEI to your original IMEI [Under Battery] by Using apps but I can't give you them since it illegal in XDA, You have to search for them in google.

I need N910C cert to repair my phone ,more over here I'll have to register smth new to network that's why I'm not googling common certs out there , some of you don't use note 4 as daily driver I do it will be very helpful
Even if someone is willing can PM me ill provide the tools/app for cert and will guide em through process

No Network or Conmection After Flashing The Stock Rom on S8+

Hello guys,
I am sorry if i have opened the thread in the wrong place. I am having a serious problem with my S8+ and im starting feel like it became a trash anymore. So i bought this phone in France as i live here. I went to Turkey for my work for 6 months and i had to change the imei number in illegal way to use my phone there. They rooted my phone and somehow put a new imei into it in order to have connection. After i am back to France i tried to flash a stock rom and it was successful but i relized soon after that i have no network and whenever i try to get some it keeps giving me an error " Error while searching for network " . I check my imei number with *#06# and i have an imei number but it is different than my original imei number which is written in the box. Did i lose my Imei or what? I check EFS file, it is there. No one in France is able to fix it and since i have a crack on the screen , it voids the warranty , so no Samsung option , as well . I would deeply appreciate if someone could help me with this problem.
Thank you so much in advance.

Not gonna find much help on here mate. Not with the imei being changed. We're don't really discuss things like that in xda. But I can tell you. They didn't change the imei with root. It's cert based. Which means they totally rewrote it and new cert for the device.
