Hello,
I've been looking through to see if its possible to upgrade my Android Head Unit from 4.1.1 to Android 4.4.4. Is this possible?
CPU: Cortex-A9 Dual Core
RAM: DDR3 1GB
Android Version: 4.1.1
MCU Version: 4.2.15-1-10-2101
System Version: 2.7.9
DVD Version: 2.13.11-hd860mc
If you could assist at all I'd appreciate it. Thank you!
Hey guys,
Thanks to this forum I was able to upgrade to version 2.9.5. My unit is an AN21-U.
I used the redmod files referenced in other posts (which is already rooted and runs very nice).
I then had to adjust the MCU. I selected a Volkswagen 4.3.13 Model which fixed my radio/bluetooth issues.
Thanks
Hello All
I have pretty much read all the threads on this forum relating to the Allwinner T3-P3 based Chinese headunits but have not been able to find an answer to the following questions for my unit:
1. It is possible to upgrade to a newer version of Android?
2. Is it neccessary to update the MCU to do this?
Any help would be really appreciated as the original Android 6 that is currently installed is buggy and pretty old....
My unit is a Seicane S089993 (which I realise doesn't mean much) with the follwing information taken from the 'About Tablet' page:
Processor:
QuadCore-T3
Android version:
6.0.1
MCU version:
T5.3.19-23-13-E43101-170705
System version:
V8.2.3_20171013.103153_PH3
Thanks in advance!

I just purchased a YUNTX brand unit:
Android: 10
HW-Information: 4-Core AllWinner - ROM 32GB - DDR3 2GB 1024x600
Kernel Version: Linux 4.9.118 - Sat Nov 30 13:43:01 CST 2019
OS Version: KC1C01D6-O01-1.0.4.3.1 - BLINK_NETWORK - 20191139
MCU Version: STM32-20191028-11-KC1-41
I have seen that this device is MCU stm32, but I don't know in which part of the forum to look and, if it is possible to modify the rom by installing a rom for MTCD or MTCE.
Have the same unit with same question.
Also anyone was able to use android auto on it?

You have an Allwinner T8 STM32 head unit. There are no known hacks for it. It will not support Malaysk MOD nor any other mods, unless you know what you're doing.

Aida64 says that my device is a T3_P1.
Sadly for me, it doesn't look like any of the same supposed T3 models I've seen on the 4pda forums.
Although thanks to @ahmed68 I have managed to root it.
