please help me
I wish to have root on this Samsung s8 sm g950u1ues6dsg1 this phone does not have oem unlock in developer options.
I have known of magisk for some time never installed cause my knowledge of flashing in an outs of issues is not that great. I have read through magisk newest version directions for me not sure what i am doing.
My goal to remove bloat apps mainly.
If you have the know how please help.
Thanks you in advance
Sincerely
Bill

Good afternoon all!
I'm well-aware of the "search before you post" mentality of this forum, and I apologize if these questions have been answered correctly elsewhere - I'm seeing conflicting information
I'm new to the Galaxy S5 (SM-G900V), moving from the Galaxy S3 (running Hyperdrive V16), and I'm hoping to root my phone to gain some of the features that I had previously (with the most important being unlocked tethering). However, I'm reading in different sources that it's safe to root/not safe to root, safe to unlock/not safe to unlock (and that there isn't even an unlocked bootloader for the Verizon variant), etc. I'm hoping to put these rumors to rest by asking the following questions simply:
Is it currently safe to root the SM-G900V variant of the Galaxy S5?
Is it currently safe (or possible) to unlock the bootloader for the SM-G900V variant of the Galaxy S5?
If the above are true, what is your favorite recommendation for a person who is interested in a stock, rooted, deodexed experience?
Thanks to all of you for your hard work developing, and for the information! :good:

Towel root will work on the SM G900V but the bootloader is still locked, so no custom recovery but SU and Titanium work fine
Hi guys, I just got my hands on the Samsung Galaxy S8 SM-G9500 (Duo SIM + Snapdragon Hong Kong Version).
I have already unlocked the bootloader (Tripped Knox of course, so bye bye to my warranty)
Since I am so new to the Samsung family, I have no idea how the FRP works.
So everytime I
(1)flash TWRP, root, and
(2)login to Google Account (I cannot live without Google),
the FRP is on
And EVERYTIME I reboot it, "Custom Binary (Boot) blocked by FRP lock" comes out
and I have to flash the OG filmware, which means all the root and data are gone.
So, does it means, you can root the device, but once you login to google, you are F**KED?
Please answer my questions my friends, it is a pain in the ass using the Samsung OS.
hello good Sir,
I'm using the exynos variant myself, so I don't know exactly how it all works on snapdragon, but I do know that you can find all the answers you are looking for in this thread: https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s8/samsung-galaxy-s8--s8-cross-device-development/recovery-twrp-galaxy-s8-s8-snapdragon-t3636718
It's a lot to read, but maybe you can post your question there, if it is that urgent...
About you mentioning that Samsung OS would be a pain in the ass: There is no AOSP ROM for the snapdragon variant at this point in time (at least to my knowledge). Only few ROMs based on Stock Firmware.
Hope I could help and that you aren't too disappointed
It is fine... I am just feeling bad about losing warranty but not getting root access.
Any way to root without triggering TRP lock?
Dear All,
I am writing with a lot of hope that someone would help me. I have a samsung galaxy s7 from at&t running right now on android 7.0. I got this phone from someone here in uae and it was locked. i tried paying a famous website to unlock it however they were unable to do that.
I request for help from someone to guide me how to root the phone and install a custom rom to unlock the sim card network so i am able to use this phone. I am an amateur however in a desperate situation to unlock this phone as i cannot afford to buy another phone. I know the risks of getting the phone bricked and i am ready to take the risk also. I have read the threads of muniz r however somehow those files are do not get downloaded. please if someone can help me.

Honestly I think I'm too stupid to find tutorials on how to root this S8, it's because from my experience I could easily find tutorials on how to root phones but not this one. I have found some but got sceptical when I saw a reddit post on why I shouldn't use that certain tutorial.
I want to root my phone to use certain apps, by the title you can tell that I have Galaxy S8 Duos SM-G905FD. I would really appreciate the help with getting the links to trusted tutorials. And also I got a question, how do I know if my phone has unlocked bootloader or not and do I need to unlock bootloader to root and change my rom?
Thank you.

TWRP S8 sm-g950fd
I wont TWRP S8 sm-g950fd for root my s8
Hello to all users of Samsung Galaxy S7 / Edge, stock 8.0 Rom, Custom Pie 9.0 Rom or higher phones, there is a way for the system to see the OEM unlock setting to turned off after each restart, unfortunately there is a certain risk whether the system will get up properly after that and whether it will TWRP work, although TWRP should work. Anyone willing to take the test? I note that there is some risk, so I'm afraid to test my mod myself. I would like to invite those willing to test that I do not incur any consequences due to side effects.
