Hi guys!
So I too, like many on this forum started my adventure of rooting and throwing a custom rom on my device, because the grass is always greener on the other side, right?
In my particular case I threw CyanogenMod 11 onto my SM-N9005, and though it took a great many tries I finally did it, but lo'n behold did it bring an ocean of troubles to my device. I believe the whole issue is my phone has a bootloader 4.3, and the CyanogenMod 11 is KitKat 4.4.2. I am not sure if this is what is causing my trouble, but I believe it is. Both my wifi, bluetooth and MMS have all stopped working.
I know this forum is usually great at helping out people, as I experienced in my first thread here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=50821847 ( Big shoutout to Rosli59564 who was being very patient and helpful! )
I've now fooled around trying to fix my wifi, but I've come to accept I simply cannot get it to work, and now wish nothing else but to go back to the stock rom for Note 3, bootloader 4.3 compatible. I really hope there is a kind soul out there, who could point me in direction of it, it'd be so very much appreciated!

To clarify.
I have the international model, SM-N9005
Bootloader is 4.3
I live in Norway, if that has anything to say.

I am not interested in custom roms or anythign anymore. I just wish to get my device as close to stock as possible. I've found a ton of information about going back to stock rom, but they all talk as if I had 4.4.2 already, and that has me confused, as my bootloader is only 4.3, cheers!
Hey guys,
I've been poking around here at xdadevelopers and was trying to find a ROM so I can flash it to my Tab 4 8.0 WiFi (SM-T330NU). I have just rooted it yesterday (using CF-Auto Root), and i'm pretty much a noob to rooting. I once rooted a LG-P769, and I'm fairly good into jailbreaking things. I've tried searching for ROMS here at xda, but I can't find any for the device that I have. If you guys know any, please tell me below.

EDIT: Does anyone know if there is a CyanogenMod ROM for this device?
Hi guys! My Verizon Samsung Galaxy S5 is still running NE9 with Towelroot. I've avoided upgrading for a long time, but I'm ready to pull the trigger and finally get Lollipop. I'd like to keep root is possible. I've searched a lot of forums, but can't find anything about upgrading from a version this old. Most instructions involve "downgrading" to NE9, but I'm unsure if it would be the same for a phone that has never been upgraded past NE9. I just don't want to brick this phone because I love it! What should I even be upgrading to at this point? XDA has always been such a helpful resource in the past, I'm hoping to get some love on this. Thanks!

You can find all the info you need in this post.
Don't know what your firmware is but the oldest base you can go is NB1 (4.4.2).
Root the phone with towel root.
Install either flash fire or safestrap and flash the desire lollipop rom.
Hello! I don't want to start a new thread just yet, but I'm also stuck in a bootloop after a mishap during a manual update. Is it possible to recover any of the internal files when recovering the phone, or is it impossible? Honestly, I just want the files off of my phone more than anything else. There are a lot of memories there that I would love to save...I know, I know, I should have backed up those files, but that chance is gone now. :crying:
Hey guys,
Sorry for my n00bness. I've been searching for answers but came up with nothing. I love custom roms, but cannot get Android Pay to work, obviously because of the Android Safety net. So my question is, could I put on a custom rom like (Batman is a great one) then once the rom is applied, unroot the phone back to stock and then use android pay? Or does android pay still detect a foreign firmware?
Thanks,
hope this makes sense
