As mentioned in the support group this is the last build of project Radiant for Mi A3 duo to phone Replacement
You haven't posted or linked the Installation Instructions! Having said that I have managed to install it using LineageOS recovery. So far so good, and an immediate thumbs up for my phone being identiified in 'About Phone' as a MI A3, and not a Pixel 6 Pro as some other custom roms are showing. Will play around with it and get back to you.

Instructions :
You MUST have unlocked bootloader and android 11 firmware on your phone
1) Flash LineageOS recovery via fastboot
fastboot flash boot <name of the recovery img file>.img
(get it by #los_recovery_img)
2) Reboot to recovery
3) Perform factory reset
4) Navigate Apply update -> apply from ADB
5) Sideload rom .zip
adb sideload <rom zip name> or if you have sd card or otg just copy the rom in that and flash through sd card or otg
6) follow the same process to flash los recovery zip (the same way how u flashed rom zip)
7) Reboot System and Enjoy
Okay, I have been using it for a day now without any hiccups but have noticed one thing - there is no camera app installed! Is that an oversight or intentional? I have had to download a camera app from the Play Store, but I would have thought one would have been included in the ROM. Do you recommend a particular camera app?

To the ultimate ICS thread for your XPERIA X8.
To start of with:
Having an ICS-update thought in your mind? Then this is the place to start.
It was several months ago since the first ICS (Ice Cream Sandwich - Android 4.0.x) ROM was created. It was buggy and wasn't suitable for normal daily use. Now, we have several ICS ROMs that works like an harm. For example, the awesome Mini-CM9, made by the holy nAa (nobodyAtall). This thread will work as a guide for you to the ICS world, just read through it and you will be ready to go. I just want to say that this is only the beginning of this thread and I will continue as long as I'm in mood . These are the things that I currently working on to add: ROMs, the base of the whole ICS-thing. KERNEL, no ROM without an kernel! MODs/IMPROVEMENTS, a goody-bag full with handsome stuffs. And the last thing, THEMEs, compatible themes for MDPI.
FYI: All downloads will be in a separate paragraph. Isn't it there? Check for a link to original thread.
READ THIS BEFORE YOU GET IN TO ANYTHING!!!
Look, there is a little change to brick your device! And if you do, then it's up to you to find the solution. I'm NOT responsible for any actions you do. Please have that in mind.
Requirements:
OK, so for all this things, you need to be rooted! There's no other way, I'm sorry. But rooting your phone isn't a pain in the ass. Actually it's quite easy with an tool called "SuperOneClick Tool". Here's how you do it:
1. Download SuperOneClick Tool from here. (Make sure PC Companion from Sony Ericsson is installed, came with your phone.)
2. Go to settings, develop and check the USB Debug box.
3. Charge your phone to at least 60%.
4. Now, connect your phone with the USB-cable. It's IMPORTANT that you don't press anything on your phone!
5. Launch SuperOneClick Tool, click on the root button and follow the on-screen instruction.
6. When it's finished, disconnect the phone and reboot. When you're in the app-drawer you should see Super User icon.
7. Open it and check that everything is OK. If not, reboot and test again. Having preblem? Search the forum.
One other thing that is quite important is to unlock your bootloader. I don't know if it's necessary on all ROMs but I know that CM9 requires a unlocked bootloader.

A: No! Not on a ICS-based ROM. Maybe in the future, after all X8 is a very slow device.

Nearly all ICS ROMs are based on CM9. And without this, ICS ROM developing wouldn't exist so a BIG thanks to nAa. CyanogenMod is one of the largest (if not the largest) custom build Android ROMs. It has a Stock Android UI and comes with many tweaks. Haven't tested any ICS ROM? Well, then this is what you should start with! It comes preloaded with the MiniCM9 theme but if you don't like it, you can easily the UI with the "Theme Chooser" app. Take a look here if you want to see some available themes. NOTE! Xperia X8 is an MDPI device, it can only apply MDPI themes. However, HDPI themes can be applied by change the lcd-density to 160 DPI, look here for instruction. The launcer "Trebuchet" is really the most laggy launcher I've ever seen. The first thing you want to do is to install either APEX or Nova from Google Play.

This is the MIUI ROM for Xperia X8. MIUI.us is a CM9-based ROM which has a unique user-interface (Lewa OS has done some rip-off). I would describe the UI as clean, simple and sweet. It comes with MIUI's own launcher which is a mix between iOS and Android eg. you don't have the app drawer, widgets and apps are merged together. Some like it, some don't. MIUI is famous for its themes. And of course MIUI.us don't lack that feature. But before considering of that you need to create a folder called "theme" (without the "") in /data/system/. I would recommend Root Explorer to do that. This is one of all the bugs in this ROM, though I would recommend this as a daily-use ROM because it's smooth, very smooth! It handles the RAM memory very well and it has "the flow". Launcher doesn't needs to redraw and so on. And in the latest update, the lockscreen bug disappeared! It comes preloaded with several apps like timer, notes and stopwatch which CM9 doesn't have, a big plus. The smoothest ICS ROM I've tested so far.

My experience with AOKP is good. Even if it lacks some features like Camera and FM-radio it's still a very, should I say, funny ROM. IT has so many tweaks to play with which is so funny (in my opinion). I mean, you can nearly change the entire system (with this I mean functions). It's based on CM9, but unfortunately it hasn't been updated for a while so it down't run the latest CM, which results in a unfuctionable camera. The preloaded launcher is much better than the stock from CM. I don't remember if it's APEX of Nova, but both of them are great. Overall, this is a great ROM with a lot of tweaks but with an unworking camera which makes MiniCM9 a better alternative.

That's not the ROM maker fault, it's the GCam modder's... right now no one is porting GCam for Mi8SE, though we have very similar hardware as Poco F1 so we can use their port, but they have the EIS bug as well. If they fix EIS on Poco F1 port, then it will likely work on our phone as well.

That's not the ROM maker fault, it's the GCam modder's... right now no one is porting GCam for Mi8SE, though we have very similar hardware as Poco F1 so we can use their port, but they have the EIS bug as well. If they fix EIS on Poco F1 port, then it will likely work on our phone as well.

With an almost stable source, this ROM is also packed with some custom wallpapers (avaliable on ShishuWalls), ringtones, fonts, and themes to bring to your device into a more fresh look and give you always a good experience.

Better late than never. All roms out few days ago are still in beta stage and need fixes. Be patient, the phone is only a few months old and they already do better than nothing by releasing 13 before them.
